Apologies for the non casual nature of this post but if like me you are very confused why duty is payable on goods bought from UK sellers I think I can explain it now.
Of course we should all spend our cash in Ireland if at all possible but there is a lot of specialist stuff you simply can't buy here.
The nub of the issue is that the brexit free trade agreement only applies to goods that are fully manufactured in UK under complicated Country of Origin rules. The vast majority of stuff that you want to buy is not actually made in UK so it still incurs tariffs.
For more details this web page is excellent: https://www.moneyguideireland.com/irish-customs-duty-on-uk-online-purchases.html
Less than €22 no duty or VAT
Less than €150 no duty but must pay Irish Vat (should not have to pay UK VAT though).
Over €150 pay duty and Irish VAT (vat is payable on duty and shipping costs)
Rates of duty vary wildly eg Computers 0%, Golf Clubs 2.7%, Bras 6.5%, Leather shoes 17% so it all gets very complicated.
TLDR: The English language version of Amazon.de is looking very hot right now.
I recently created a 3D Printed enclosure for the GRS Flight Yoke (Star Wars flight controller). Here's a video on how to put it together and some brief game-play with Squadrons: https://youtu.be/NPqFm8X4k0g
Written guide here: http://wagnerstechtalk.com/grs/#New_GRS_Arcade_Flight_Yoke
After a bit of playing about flying the Cessna over my home town and generally testing the limits, I've just had my first (semi) Successful flight from Denpassar Airport (DPS) on Bali to Lombok Airport (LOP). Got a lot to learn with regards to terminology etc, but loving it. So relaxing and looks/plays amazing!
I have one computer and I use it for work. I also have very long legs making a keyboard tray pretty impossible. When I type with the Logitech flight yoke hooked up, it's very much in the way.
I'm thinking something like an arm with hydraulics where it can push back in to the desk when it's not in use?
Anyone have ideas/solutions to mount the bravo/alpha under desk? Cheers!!!
Gotta help counter act the scalpers and let people know lol.
I have a Bell Morningstar in royalex that I primarily use for solo fishing in stillwater. The image is a depiction of the layout. I usually paddle it backwards and then stand & pole when I'm where I want to fish. Would it compromise the integrity of the hull to remove the center yoke so I have more room to stand? I never use it.
I’ve seen lots but i order the looks of the ones which have two handles (not the joystick).
