LPT: If you are ever digging in your garden or yard and you suddenly hit sand, there is a high chance that there is a cable buried underneath.
Sand is like a universal «Be careful, there is something underneath.» warning message, so if you suddenly stumble upon sand while digging in your garden/yard, you should proceed with extreme caution.
It seems like people are misunderstanding what I am saying. I am not saying that if there is a cable under the ground it will be covered in sand. I am saying that if you hit sand whilst digging (and it's out of place) then there is likely something underneath it.
You should always check for cables before digging.

In 2005 Larry Johnson ran for 1351 yards and 16TDs in the final 9 games of the season after taking over for an injured Priest Holmes.
261 carries 1351 yards in those 9 games for an average of 29-150 per game. For a full 16 game season he would have had totals of 464 carries 2401 yards and 28 rushing TDs. One of the most impressive seasons by a RB that I don't see mentioned much.

In nine years with the St. Louis Rams, Steven Jackson rushed for 10,138 yards and 56 touchdowns. The team never won more than 8 games a year.
Steven Jackson was unquestionably one of the top runningbacks of the 2000's but the performance of the team around him meant that his greatness fell into obscurity.
His rookie season would be the only season the Rams would make the playoffs during his time there after an 8-8 season.
Jackson would go on to have eight consecutive 1000-yard rushing seasons, with two 2nd Team All-Pro selections in 2006 and 2009.
Over his time with the team, he would endure a 1-15 season (2009), two 2-14 seasons (2008, 2011), a 3-13 season (2007), a 6-10 season (2005), a 7-9 season (2010), two 8-8 seasons (2004, 2006), and some 7-8-1 bullshit with Jeff Fisher his last year there (2012).
After 2012, Jackson was cut loose and he was a shell of himself for the rest of his career. He got to experience 4-12 and 6-10 with Atlanta.
He spent the 2015 season as a free agent until the end of the year when he was signed by a desperate Patriots team that had lost it's two staring runningbacks in LeGarrette Blou

Neighbor has a garden hose going through our yard, can we disconnect it? They won’t have running water if we do. TEXAS
My boyfriend, and the neighbors around him, are all on well water. The neighbors that live directly behind him do not have their own well and apparently have run a garden hose through my boyfriends property and to a well owned by someone else. The people who’s well they have ‘tapped into’ were not asked before hand but do know what they are doing but have not done anything about it.
The garden hose has been on my boyfriends land for 2 years and it interferes with us cutting the grass, we have to move it out of the way and make sure we don’t hit it with the lawn mower or weed eater.
And honestly he’s fed up with the neighbors. They see his land as a dumping ground and we’ve witnessed them throwing stuff over the fence and into his yard and they routinely think it’s a great idea to shoot guns at midnight during the week....I promise we all aren’t redneck white trash down here.
He’s asked the people to move the hose many times. There is no way for them to move it without it still bei

AITA for sleeping outdoors in my yard? My neighbors are bothered by it.
Ok, this is a weird one.
I've been having major cabin fever recently, working from home and generally being stuck at home, especially when the weather has been warming up.
Getting outside helps a lot but I've mainly stayed in my own yard. I have a hammock up between two trees and I've slept in there at night under the stars. It's nice, it's peaceful, and it makes me feel a lot less like a rat in a cage nowadays.
I know it's weird but I enjoy it. It is peaceful and helps me destress after work.
But my neighbors are bothered by it, they said it is weird, they don't want someone sleeping outdoors near where their kids play. They don't like me being out there so much because their family has less privacy, and it would be better if I stayed in the house at night.
I said I don't pay them any attention, I am just doing something relaxing to stay sane because my work and other things have made me stressed.
AITA for wanting to keep sleeping outdoors?

In 2006, LaDainian Tomlinson had a 10 game stretch where he totaled 1,664 yards from scrimmage and accounted for 30 TD
From Week 5 to Week 14, LdT recorded the following:
- 1290 rushing yards
- 25 rushing TD
- 374 receiving yards
- 3 receiving TD
- 2 passing TD
He finished the season with 1815 rushing yards, 28 rushing TD, 508 receiving yards, 3 receiving TD, and 2 passing TD.
It's arguably the GOAT season for a runningback. But just for fun let's project Tomlinson's 2006 season as if he played the other 6 games as he did during Weeks 5-14:
- 2,064 rushing yards
- 40 rushing TD
- 598 receiving yards
- 5 receiving TD
- 3 passing TD
If Tomlinson played the entire season like he did from Week 5 to Week 14 he would have totaled a whopping 2664 yards from scrimmage and account for 48 total TD.
Heres our back yard transformation pic. The photos were taken exactly a year apart.

Yard-less Parenting in the Pandemic
Literally just a post to give a ranty shout out to all the parents out there who feel me on the nightmare that is being stuck at home with preschool kids and no yard to send them away from you to “go get their energy out.”
The next elder-parent to tell me that what I REALLY need to do is just make them go play outside so I can get a break is gonna get an earful.
Where pray tell shall I send them, oh wise elder-parent? The 2’x4’ porch with space between the splintered railing large enough for them to fall through? The tiny patch of grass in front of our building on the sidewalk where all the dogs shit? Or were you referring to the 1’x3’ rusty balcony/fire escape that is home to a pissed off mama pigeon who sits perched with twitchy eyes and guards her two eggs and twiggy ass nest with a level of bitchy energy that makes me feel like she is the only one in the world who truly sees me?

[Vent] It’s ridiculous that most rescues “require” you to have a fenced in yard
My wife and I lost our 12 year old Aussie last year and are looking to adopt a puppy/young dog. I have yet to see a listing on petfinder or post from a rescue group on fbook that doesn’t “require” a fenced in yard.
A. We have a dog park at our complex. It’s awesome
B. You don’t know us. We run, walk, hike, and both work from home. The puppy will get plenty of activity, attention, structure, training, and love.
We tell them this on every application. Yet every response if we get one is “we require a fenced in yard”
To automatically disqualify us because we don’t have a house is fucking stupid

Hello All,(Before/After Photos: https://imgur.com/a/C6YNKQT )(Before was 1.5yrs ago when I bought the house, after was a week ago)
Just wanted to share. During this quarantine I've had some extra time to do a bunch of work on the exterior of my house. $550 in paint, $60-paint sprayer rental, $50 in brushes/rollers/tape. And two weekends to paint the exterior.
$250 in seed/weed killer (Killed lawn last fall and re-started it this year).
This was relatively inexpensive, and completely changed the curb appeal of my house, changing it from the ugly outdated eyesore of the neighborhood, to an attractive house that brings the neighborhood up.
I'll organize and post the photos of the interior which took months of work, and around $20k in restoration and upgrades to bring it from ugly/dated to nicely restored, keeping the original fixtures, windows, hardwoods, while upgrading everything to be functional and nice.
