This trend must stop, yesterday. I don't know if marketers think it's cute, or if people in general think it's cute, but it's not. It probably appeals to soccer moms or 13 year old girls with golden retrievers, but it fucking sucks.
Edit: some of it doesn't have ukulele but as a poster mentioned, it's that "free" style happy go lucky music. Fml.
It doesn't strictly have to be a 'solo,' but just a really complicated and amazing moment where the xylophone is the main focus
I need help.
A music has haunted me for years, but I can't put my finger on it.
Low notes of a wooden xylophone which form a playful, carnival rhythm, quickly joined by trumpets which take up the same theme.
I think this score goes with the opening scene of an American film from the 70s or 80s, where we see an administrative frenzy. People running, desks and papers everywhere. New York Stock Exchange, editorial board of a big newspaper? No idea. A big space full of people at work anyway, and a sense of joyful urgency, of irresistible outburst.
Help me please.
Been playing melodies on my chompers since I popped out the womb.
Example: "Lonely Tonight" by The Power station (another example off the top of my head is "Twilight" by Maze)
That bell-like sound. I tried the recipes from the mega thread and none of them had that tube-like, kalimba-esque sound.
Admittedly, it might just be a preset from one of the popular keyboards of the time but I've yet to find the exact one from the software emulators and such. Trying to recreate it in Serum has been a challenge to say the least.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, yall!
I don't know if anyone of you still remembers me.
I was pretty active in this sub last year until I got caught up with irl problems so I've been MIA for quite a while now but my love for MDZS remains the same.
At the moment, I do not own a flute nor a keyboard so I have no way of playing WUJI/WANGXIAN on it but!!! I hope to own these musical instruments in the future and would gladly play WUJI on it.
For now, please appreciate my first time playing WUJI on my Xylophone (I only have Guitar and Xylophone as the only musical instruments I currently own) by ear. I repeat, by ear, so please excuse any mistakes.
Also, please ignore my profile and give my amateurish Xylophone play a listen.

Thank you for your time.
When I was 20 - about 15 years ago! I used to sit near broad marsh and watch him play. Ding, ding, ding!! Always made smile.
Hey, I have a weirdly specific song recommendation request. I'm looking for songs that have xylophone and evil/dark lyrics/vibe. Haute Tropique by Man Man and Laplace's Angel by Will Wood would be great examples of what I'm looking for. Apart from the xylophone the genre doesn't matter but I'd prefer songs with (dark) lyrics to instrumental music but the latter are welcome too. If you can help me find even one new song like this I'd be super grateful! :)
