Idk, this is just a random shower thought I had.
Edit: For those that don't know, this date is when the first website went online.
The World Wide Web is a "Sistem of Destribution of Documents" commonly known as "Internet".
Is an abstract concept that's somehow its present in all * Humans * , lives.
The World Wide Web is commonly used for: Entertainment, Research and Self-Help. Having all the information that you could ask for, from the molecular estructure of anything to the exact day of any slaughter.
"Is the biggest Encyclopedia, containing more information than any known Library"
The Internet is constantly updated whit Current new events, you can see Live the elections of a new leadership or the Black smoke when The new Pope has been elected. And ANYONE can make content to make the Encyclopedia even bigger, now not just with Irl events, but with story's, with videos about games, media, even about events inside of the own internet!.
It's a concept so crazy that it can only exist in something like a rpg/videogame.
The effects of the object Normally depends of the User, use:
-If the User only used it for gathering of information and learning (Art skills mainly) the user will eventually Get the skill.
-If the user used it for the action commonly known as "Discussing on the Internet" (action of Discussing normally for little things and not getting nothing from it, not even public appreciation or fame) will lose brain cells.
-If the user used it for Entertainment Purposes it will not gain nothing, but it's a good way to forget Real Life (rl).
-If the user used it to "Socialize" will not gain any skill, but it will be a conformable experience in the right comunities, and maybe get a irl friend! (but this could be dangerous don't recommend).
-If the user "Created Content" It will embrace the activity that is doing, influencing other into making it too. Or for giving other the sensation of doing the activity with any of the effort in doing so.
"Contents Creators" Do this for many reasons, Sharing experiences is one of the most prominent (cof cof Storytime cof cof), and "For views" (Attention).
//Some people think that Any "Content Creator" Creates Content, content NEEDS at LEAST to be: Entertaining and have some substance (reason to watch) or creativity.
//No Jimmy 3h of silence is not content.
A fix like this will ideally show how this affects the wizarding society (e.g Gringotts online banking, Weasley Wizard Wheezes running ridiculous advertisements, and the Malfoyโs becoming the kings of online investing).

I believe the Internet/WWW and the printing press are two sides of the same coin. Both doing the same tasks in the spreading of easily accessible information. However, the Internet has an edge over the printing press as books are on the decline and the factor of portability the Internet has with being able to carry all of it on a device that fits in your pocket. Literacy rates are increasing, people are becoming more educated, everyone has a phone, you basically canโt live without one. And I think itโs all thanks to the Internet. And the Internet isnโt going anywhere for I think the rest of earthโs history, doing what books did in hundreds of years in less than 40.
Why are people like the Kardashians even famous? If I'm being honest, I honestly don't get why people go gaga over all of these celebrities, and then act pissed if a celebrity exhibits an attitude of entitlement. It's a two way street. Really makes you wonder where the human race is headed...
This is something that I have been thinking about a lot recently and am hoping to start an open conversation about things we, as developers, can do to improve the web.
The nature of the web is changing. Total page weight is rapidly increasing. Images and videos are replacing text. Tracking scripts and analytics seem to be becoming increasingly common. Major data breaches exposing personal information of users are a regular occurrence. More and more sites seem to be hiding information behind pay walls.
Some of the best content on the web, it is true, is created by people who can make a living out of it. However, if you look at a random selection of popular websites many of them seem to share some unfortunate features in common:
This is bad for users, often bad for the site itself as slow loading and browser incompatibilities in scripts drive visitors away, and bad for the environment as these pages generally produce a lot of carbon per view.
In light of this I have been brainstorming a set of 3 voluntary principles that website creators could adhere to to try and make the web a better place:
I wondered what everyone elseโs thoughts on this are? Do you think there are other areas need to be covered?
My current thinking is perhaps creating a website outlining these principles and providing links off to training material on how to improve things, such as how to optimize page load speed, improve accessibility for screen reader users, write standards compliant html etc. Other websites could then sign up to follow these principles and be given a rating on how closely they adhere to each one, perhaps by running through automated tools like page speed insights, website carbon calculator and WAVE.
EDIT: Now has a basic site up: https://www.better-web-alliance.net/
I'm sure it's been around on the stream for a while but I only heard it for the first time on the Jay Anderson video and holy crap it's stuck in my head and I keep watching it over and over
