Men and their willingness to give oral sex

My friends and I have been discussing this for fun.

In my experience, either men have gone down on me our first time hooking up and that’s been consistent throughout our whole relationship and there are men who never go down the entirety of the relationship.

What I’ve been concluding is that if a man does not go down on you within the first 1-3 hookups, he most likely won’t go down on you later in the relationship.

What are your thoughts or experiences with this?

Why did we submit? -- A discussion of our willingness to discard our individual human rights in 2020

I write this essay to expand on the excellent post, "I'm coping much better with the lockdown, than with the realization that most people want this lockdown" by u/mushroomsarefriends. I agree with the conclusion that knowing your fellow countrymen have been willing to support this is in many ways harder to accept than the day-to-day evils of lockdowns themselves. I therefore want to ask the question why. Why was our generation so uniquely ready to cast off our rights and freedoms, with so little thought for the long term consequences?

Pandemics have happened throughout history; they are an inevitable consequence of living in an ecosystem in which microorganisms and viruses reproduce + mutate far more quickly than us, and can therefore adapt to exploit new niches. As long as humanity continues to exist, it will have to deal with pandemics from time to time. When particularly severe outbreaks happen, particularly in our globalised, inter-connected world (with our hugely inflated global population), the death toll will be significant.

In 2020, we lost the sense of acceptance and stoicism that the above was indeed an inevitable conclusion. We elected to go to war with a virus, using the brand new, untested and unproven concept of "Lockdowns", an ideological policy from the Chinese Communist Party. In so doing, we tactily agreed that individual human rights, the foundations of our Liberal Democracies, were to be indefinitely postponed.

Proximal Causes - the initial "knee-jerk" response:

It is easy to sympathise with all those who initially accepted the lockdowns as being necessary. Below I lay out some of the reasons why this was so tempting in the initial phase:

Fear: Fuelled by a combination of exaggerated, terrifying predictions from scientific modelling and a media frenzy showing distressing images from both China and Italy, panic spread rapidly through the public mindset. People are ill equipped to make level headed, rational decisions in such an atmosphere.

A tendency to "undo": When threatened by a newly emerging threat or enemy, people have an urge to find a solution which will easily undo the damage / impact. When faced with a bush fire, we will try to extinguish the flames; when an earthquake hits we immediately try to clear the rubble.

Hey! Are you up for the challenge of matching up πŸ‘₯ based on 28 questions(??)? Covers age, gender, interests, continent πŸ—ΊοΈ , willingness to share pictures πŸ“· or voice calls πŸ“ž, studying/working status and more πŸš€!

Hello and behold, prepare for a long post xD ! 2020 was an intense and lonely year for many of us, which is one of the main reason my friend /u/finder_of_the_humans/ spent over 8 months working in their spare time on a friend finding project. Basically it matches people up based on answers to 28 simple questions. You choose your answer and also answers from people you would want to talk to.

Thanks to these 28Qs, it makes it much quicker to find people that 'match' what your preference is. It's basically this info:

  • more about you
  • age (you have to be 16 or older!)
  • best part of your day
  • gender
  • sexuality
  • interests (we have a HUGE list to pick from - all the way from lockpicking, to biotechnology, to minecraft)
  • geographical continent
  • how often you'd like to communicate with a friend
  • type of friendship
  • whether you'd be willing to share pictures
  • whether you'd be willing to have voice calls
  • religious
  • working
  • studying
  • video games / books / drinking / smoking / drugs
  • whether you want to hide/not match with 'low effort profiles'.

Concerns:

A few people have concerns about the above - but you can (and probably should be anyway) be completely anonymous if you choose - just use a throwaway contact info, and also there is a very simple and short privacy policy as well. And lastly you can read through everyone's feedback in previous posts from a while back here: https://www.reddit.com/user/finder_of_the_humans/posts/ and mine as well.

What is the final result?

The algorithm searches over 4000 people (everyone is mostly from reddit), to find you compatible matches. The final result is you usually get around 20-40 matches (active in the past 2weeks) - people that meet the criteria. Once you have the list, you can then send out friend requests to these users, (or receive requests from them), and once either of you have accepted a request, you get connected with that person, you form a friendship, you eventually meet up, get married, 3 years later you get divorced and fight over the who gets the coffee table with 5 lawyers involved.

This is what the UI looks like for a "match": https://imgur.com/a/Dfqp6ES

The link is: https://findafriend.club/howitworks

Final tips: I can give is3900 to not be shy to send request

The Canadian government and media’s willingness to mislead and manipulate the Canadian population and what the end goal appears to be.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic I have noticed some quite disturbing behaviour on the part of the Canadian government and media. It seems as though they are more than willing to mislead or manipulate the Canadian population if it suits their agenda and the implications of this are vast and far-reaching.

The first instance of this manipulation and deception I speak of comes in the form of misrepresentation of current COVID cases to the Canadian public.

The protocol that is currently being followed is to report all positive tests as a case of COVID-19, the major issue with that is the fact that the test that is most widely used and has been since the beginning of the pandemic is the PCR test (polymerase chain reaction).

By the Canadian government’s own admission this test can produce false positives up to 50% of the time. This was mentioned during an Ontario public health broadcast by Dr. Barbara yaffe, the Director of Communicable Disease Control & Associate Medical Officer of Health for Toronto Public Health. I will provide the link below:

https://youtu.be/3COXVbP5WdI

When the question arises of why teachers are not forced to regularly participate in mandatory testing she says, and I quote:

β€œYou know I think a lot of people think the testing is going to really solve the whole problem and it isn’t, it’s one component of a response. If you test somebody today, uh, you only know if they’re infected today. And in fact if you’re testing in a population that doesn’t have very much Covid, you’ll get false positives almost half the time. That is the person actually doesn’t have Covid, they have something else, they may have nothing. Uh, so it will just complicate the picture.” End quote.

So what we can draw from this is that when asked, the Canadian government openly admits the fallibility and inaccuracy of the tests being used, yet the government and the media continue to use positive PCR tests as the main criteria for how many current cases we have. This is a clear cut case of deception and manipulation.

I think this shows that the Canadian government and media are more than willing to present us with inaccurate information, models, statistics when it suits their interests and agenda, presenting them as legitimate and deceiving the masses. This is reprehensible behaviour on the part of both and we should not stand for it.

It gets even worse when you ponder their reason for presenting inaccurate information to the public. The reason why

I swear there’s a bimodal relationship between actual medical knowledge and willingness to give people medical advice

If you’re a full physician, you are skilled enough to answers people’s questions usually.

When you’re a medical student or maybe even an early resident, you’re conscious of the fact that you don’t know everything. And because of that you feel it’s best to generally avoid answering questions.

And then you have the people with no medical knowledge whatsoever or the people who have a medical career but have no idea what they don’t know. I (and I’m sure many of you are to) tired of some guy who works construction saying that vaccines are bullshit online because β€œmRNA vaccines are unproven technology” when they probably couldn’t describe what a virus actually is. Or the person I know who smokes over a pack of cigarettes a day and drinks like a sailor saying that β€œthey’re not getting the vaccine because they like to be careful about what goes in their body”

It’s ridiculous that ignorant people feel so damn confident in their beliefs. Im totally cool with someone has a question about the efficacy or safety of the vaccine, but these ignorant people with such strong beliefs blow me away

The only real difference between the British and the Americans was the Americans' willingness to use the "unnecessary and unscientific" term "dick" to describe their enemy, a term that was used by the British as a substitute for "ass" in the same way that the latter was used to describe the former.

>The American war fever was a potent one, and as the war dragged on a number of Americans took to referring to the British as the "dick army." But to the British the term "dick" was more than just a slur, for it was a term of opprobrium that had become the most powerful weapon of the British Army. The term was not only an attack on the British Army, an attack on the British character and an attack upon their authority and their institutions, but it was also an attack upon the English working class, who had become so synonymous with the term that the British Government felt it necessary to issue a circular advising all employees to use the British term, not the American term, to describe their British colleagues. To the American army, the British Army was the enemy, and the British Army was the enemy of the British working class.

Seeing the situation of my country, I find my country is going through free-fall with no parachute and is destined to be doomed.

No wonder the youth are willing to leave this country just to have a minimal paying job in foreign countries or 3m people working abroad and keeping the country's so called doomed economy with remittance.

Anyone here feels the same? About doing something to make this country one of the best in the world?
