A pretty simple idea, it basically sums itself up. Crafted with 1 stick on top of 1 glow squid ink, which gives you four underwater torches, that don't get destroyed underwater. When placed down, they would create the glow squid's sparkle particles instead of smoke.
Just whip the first layers off and chuck them in the laundry so you can deal with things in the morning when you have more energy. This is also a good idea if you have kids who wet the bed or suffer incontinence. I posted this in response to another tip and as someone who used to have heavy periods, I wanted to share it more widely. If you can't fit a top layer on top, try an unfitted sheet rather than a fitted sheet.
Edit: in reply to a few comments here, with conditions like PCOS, people have irregular periods and come on all of a sudden, so it's not as simple as putting a towel down in advance. Other people have such heavy periods that they leak through pads and through towels.
Second edit: This has been weirdly controversial. Picture the scene: You're sleeping soundly in your bed and you wake up feeling that you've come on your period. You weren't expecting this so you weren't layered up with a pad, period underwear, pajamas, and a towel folder under you. You were happy and naked or wearing just one layer in bed, and now your sheet is stained. You don't want to go back to sleep in a puddle of blood, so you wake up, put on a pad and some underwear, get rid of your first layer of sheets, and go back to bed. Yes, you could just get a towel and leave the sheets, but if you prefer not to then this method saves you from remaking the bed. I am not talking about periods so heavy that you bleed through four layers of waterproof sheets and into the mattress. I am talking about those of us who come on in the night unexpectedly heavily enough to get a bit of blood on the sheets. That's pretty normal.

So similar questions have been asked before, but not quite the same. I'm basically looking for a jacket that is both warm in cold weather (0-10c) but also fairly waterproof.
I've been looking at Patagonia's Micro Puff and Nano Puff jacket for their warmth and lightweight, but they aren't suited for anything beyond medium rain apparently.
Does such a jacket exist? I'd really appreciate any recommendations :) Thanks!
This question has been brought to you by an unusually snowy winter with wind that prevents sensible umbrella usage, hence I've been forced to finally buy a waterproof mascara.
I have a HG mascara. It's cheap, it never clumps, it gives wondrous curl, length and just enough volume. But it is not waterproof.
However, there is a waterproof version of it. And let me tell you, it is NOT all that. It's not even HALF of that. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.
So how's it been for you? Have you found that waterproof and regular versions of the same product are vastly different? Maybe there's a waterproof version that's miles better than non-waterproof? Do share!
I know this question has been asked time and again on this sub and I have find mixed reviews overall. So trying again one last time lol.
Thanks in advance.
My best friend in the world is marrying my childhood friend that I've known since.... birth basically in late April! I'm insanely excited!! Long story short I know I'm gonna cry multiple times cause I adore them so much and I know I won't be the only one I'm looking for advice for black eyeliner and mascara that I can get and suggest to the rest of the girls that will 100% hold up despite potential tears and heat! (Were in the south usa could be 60Β° could be 80Β°) We're doing our own makeup and wearing masks so I want our eyes to stay fresh. (Doesn't HAVE to be drugstore but I plan on buying for the group so $50 each won't work for the budget) Any advice is appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!!!
So itβs cold right now. Really fucking cold.
Operating in field conditions is tough enough without having sodden hands that subsequently get absolutely icers. I have tried sealskinz before anyone mention them, specifically their All Weather hunting glove, and within an hour of it hammering it down on Dartmoor my hands were pisswrapped.
I am NOT looking for large/puffy gloves like you use for skiing, I still want to be able to manipulate everything from putting up a poncho to stripping my weapon system.
Every problem Iβve had with gear Iβve been able to find better alternatives which come pricier but end up being well worth it in the long run and PERFORM but my search for gloves that provide this has been long and hard and I have come up empty handed. Pun intended.
Recommendations?
Are the likes of regatta, mountain warehouse, trespass and Quechua still 'buy cheap buy twice' brands or have they improved to become great value offerings.
Will be used for UK hill/mountain walks and scrambles and maybe some winter walking.
The waterproof high tops w/ gortex are on clearance for $74.97 with additional 30% off with code for $52.48, available in 3 colors. They looked pretty cool to me and I was pretty tempted myself @ waterproof converse, so I figured Iβd share.
Idk how much of the site the 30% applies to, but I think itβs good for the clearance section

All terrain wheels work just fine in rain and even some snow. Been riding my WowGo AT2 through a snowstorm. I waterproofed it myself with their silicone glue, but after three months of heavy water abuse it finally gave out. Turns out waterproofing you apply yourself externally gives out often. There really is not replacement for a housing that was specifically designed with waterproofing in mind.
That brings me to a new product I found: the Foil electric water skateboard/surfboard which is completely water immersion proof. It has a powerful motor, it is electric powered with an ESC and a remote and uses lithium ion batteries in a deck housing just like an electric skateboard.
I finally gave in and bought a Mellow despite them not having the all-important all-terrain wheels for serious usage as a transportation vehicle in a place like Boston, just so I can use my WowGo AT2 most of the time and the Mellow when it rains or snows. Current plan is to attach a mellow drive to a Boardup deck.
Itβs simply embarrassing that only Mellow has an actual waterproof board that they encourage you to ride in rain.
I have had two Linky Boards that both failed during rainy days and two WowGo AT2s that also failed after rain, and a BoardUp Bolt whose motor locked up from rust. I must say though that WowGo AT2s are amazing boards in almost every way except waterproofing. Also if linky would just change their gearbox to metal instead of using brittle plastic they would be a top contender too, and boardup could use tarnish-proof bearings instead.
If skateboards are to be serious daily transport for work they really need to be fully waterproof by default. Hereβs to hoping an electric surfboard company like Foil decides to enter the eskate scene.
