Boat Owner to Kayak

So I am moving and the new house does not have room for a boat. I owned a pretty nice boat with a good sized platform upfront before. I stood for hours while fishing as I liked how how I could see more and it was easier to cast and all around fish. I have never fished from a kayak before but like the idea of launching it wherever, and cleaning it would be much easier, but am concerned about sitting the whole time. I have watched videos online and have seen the Native Watercrafts are very stable and people can stand on them, but that most people do not most of the time. Are you able to stand comfortably while fishing if you're not moving and the water is calm? I see some Native Watercrafts for sale that have everything I would need (and then some) for $1500 - $3000. I do not mind spending that much, but obviously don't want to spend more than I need to, and don't want to spend unnecessary money if it's just a branding thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Trying to sell my Regal 2665, tired of people trying to sell it for me.

I have listed it on craigslist:

https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/boa/d/2003-regal-commodore-2665/6585552191.html

And a startup site:

http://www.torquelist.com/posts/15268/pittsburgh-pennsylvania-watercraft-for-sale--2003-regal-commodore-2665

So far I have had no luck selling it. I have had a few calls, but mostly from "brokers" who want to sell it for me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks in advance.

Ontario Strengthens Enforcement of Stay-at-Home Order

^(Updated: April 16, 2021)

Implementing Stronger Enforcement, Travel Restrictions, Public Health Measures to Stop the Spread of COVID-19 and Save Lives

The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, is strengthening enforcement of the province's Stay-at-Home order while imposing new travel restrictions and further strengthening public health measures. These urgent actions are targeted at stopping the rapid growth in COVID-19 case rates and relieving mounting pressures on the province's health care system.

Details were provided today by Premier Doug Ford, Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development and Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health.

To increase public compliance with the Stay-at-Home order and stop the spread of COVID-19, amendments to an emergency order (O.Reg 8/21 Enforcement of COVID-19 Measures) have been made that will provide police officers and other provincial offences officers enhanced authority to support the enforcement of Ontario's Stay-at-Home order.

CPS Technologies (CPSH) - Response to "misleading" claims post

Apparently, this response is too long to have as a direct reply to the following post: https://www.reddit.com/r/trakstocks/comments/lhf70t/deadnsydes_feb_2_video_about_cpsh_was_highly/

DeadnSyde provided a response to the post by u/_thirdHarmonic ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feKUs6daYP8 ) and I thought I would pull out the easily accessible public information that helps define the opportunities that CPS Technologies could use to apply their novel array of products and material solutions (https://www.alsic.com/ ) to Federal, State, and Local procurement needs. Please note, this compilation of information is no indication that CPS Technologies will invest in expanding their operations. This information illustrates how the new COO could go about obtaining government contracts. This information is not an indication that $CPSH will apply this information to their future operations.

It goes without saying but I encourage everyone to review the links and descriptions to build your own opinions.

Quick Note: I own $CPSH stock. I am not a financial professional. I could be completely wrong, so do your DD before you invest. I'll do my best to simply write out the information I'm seeing in an unbiased manner. This is also my second post ever with research, so be nice.

CPS Technologies is registered with three North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and two Product Service Codes (PSC). These are standards used to classify services, it's a relatively simple thing to update and CPSH should be able to register for more and compete for more contracts as a result of their service/product offerings. See the link to learn more about NAICS. https://www.naics.com/six-digit-naics/?code=31-33

2 questions for Illinois paddlers:

Hello and thanks in advance for reading this. I just got my first iSup (Isle Pioneer) and am really looking forward to a summer on the water. I live in the North burbs of Chicago and I am wondering:

  1. Where are your favorite spots to paddle in IL or even over the border in WI? I’m looking for fun day trips but would also love to do an overnight once my SO gets a board too. Willing to put in road miles to get to cool spots.

  2. My internet search seems to indicate that IL has done away with their Water Usage Stamp for non-powered craft... I’ve found old news articles from 2018 stating that it would go away, but when I logged onto the IL DNR site and tried to create an account to see if they were for sale now in 2021 (just to make sure), I got a notice saying that online watercraft-related services are down. Any guidance here? And while I’m at it are any of the good spots in IL currently requiring some other permits/stamps/licenses?

Thanks in advance!

Are the MC dealerships drying up due to covid?

Moderators: This is NOT asking for buying advice, I'm just making an observation, so please don't move this to the megathread. Thank you.

I was at a local dealer a couple days ago, they sell all four Japanese brands, a long with a few others, so not a small operation, but they only had *one* used bike in stock; I guess they haven't been getting trade ins because no one is buying new? But more noticeably, half the new motorcycle inventory was gone and replaced with side by sides, ATVs, and personal watercraft. This was the first time I've seen that at this dealer, and I've been going there for nearly 30 years.

I couple days before that, I was at another dealer, smaller guys that specialized in European bikes, and now they're down to KTM only. They too only had one used bike in stock; a fairly new KTM.

last night I checked another dealer, online, who's across the country, they had almost NO new inventory and have actually started selling electric bicycles, I guess to make up for lost sales? [kind of sad, really] There were a couple used bikes, but all dirt bikes.

Is this happening everywhere? Have things really gotten this bad for the motorcycle industry? I know covid is really screwing with the economy, but I hadn't considered the MC dealers.

What are you guys seeing?

Canoo and Hyundai will jointly develop an all-electric skateboard platform based on the one underpinning the Canoo EV pod. The scalable platform will be used for future electric Hyundai and Kia models as well as Purpose-Built Vehicles (PBVs, or mobility pods like the Canoo).

Hyundai Motor Group recently said it plans to invest $87 billion in future growth over the next five years, including $52 billion in future technologies for the Hyundai brand and $25 billion in electrification and future mobility for Kia. By 2025, Hyundai-Kia hopes eco-friendly vehicles, including EVs, will account for 25 percent of its total sales. So, while people might not have heard of Canoo beforeβ€”not the watercraft, obviouslyβ€”they probably will if this deal with Hyundai ultimately sees the company's platform underpinning potentially millions of Hyundai and Kia products.

A Question of Power - Tales from the Twin Cities #1

He went through another wall, taking a few pipes with him this time. They stopped hurting after the seventh. Eighth? He was starting to lose count.

Power Up attempted to stand up, quickly realizing his legs barely have anything left. He reached up to pull himself upward, and grabbed the nearest solid object.

He heard the sonic boom of his opponent landing near him, and felt the shockwave shortly afterwards. He was vaguely aware of her talking, but he was only catching a few words between his own breaths and the ringing in his ears.

β€œI’m disappointed… more to offer.” He already knew that she was giving a speech on how he wasn’t strong enough. At first, it was annoying, but now he felt that he actually was failing.

A strange sound whined in his ear, which he would’ve had to guess was his earpiece. He was hoping the rest of the team had at least cleared out the civilians, but he knew they were moving too fast to get everyone.

He realized she hadn’t struck him again, and looked up. This villain, Eve, seemed to be waiting on a response. He attempted to speak, but every part of him hurt.

β€œWell, any excuses before you die?”

Her sentence, somehow making it through to his muddled brain, was meant to strike fear. He knew what she was about to do, and yet… he was calm. He knew being here, against her, was saving everyone else.

Plus, he wasn’t completely out of the fight yet.

Power Up reached to the back of his belt, concealed underneath his cape, and felt the cuffs holstered to his belt. Before he could pull them, he went through another wall.

As he tumbled, the light he could see as he was spinning told him he made it outside. The vehicle he slammed into told him he was probably on the street. The adrenaline went through his body immediately and he planted his legs into the concrete, stopping his momentum. He looked up, trying to find Eve, but she was nowhere on the street. As he scanned the horizon, he became aware of the shadow above him.

He launched upwards, rocketing toward Eve with energy coursing through his hands. Before he could maneuver for a blast, a vehicle slammed into him from above, slamming him back into the pavement. The pressure was lifted for a moment, only for it to come right back down, knocking his breath out of him.

He shifted the car off of him, looking up to see her floating just above the pavement. He stood up once again, standing as tall as possible.

He had been beaten mercilessly, thrown through multiple

My Full Hitman III Concept (Repost)

Update: Obviously, Dubai is confirmed as one of (maybe the first) missions... so one of my levels has to go. That said, I'm not going to pick, I'm going to leave them all in. Maybe IO will do 7 main missions ;) I also know that this post is outdated and it's very likely some of my suggestions have either been confirmed, will be confirmed, or will not be possible. This is very simply a thought exercise.

Original Post:

I know IO already know what they're doing, but I enjoy pretending I can do their work for them, so here's my overall concept for Hitman 3. I've posted a version of this once before, but I've added more to it and have adjusted some things.

Basic Plot Synopsis: 47 continues to hunt down remaining key members of Providence with the help of Lucas Grey, as it becomes clear that Grey has a hidden agenda, culminating in a final showdown between 47 and Grey to tie up all loose ends.

MAIN MISSIONS (summaries posted here may different somewhat from the full versions linked)

  1. Ireland - Murder at Black Valley (Murder Mystery Dinner): A trio of crucial Providence members are celebrating the grand opening of their joint venture; a prestigious Castle Hotel in Black Valley, Ireland, by hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner theater for wealthy elites. A portion of the hotel is open to the public, but the "First Class" wing is restricted for the elites only, and is where the Dinner is taking place. 47 has many devilishly poetic opportunities to kill his targets in plain site with guests possibly believing that it's all part of the game.
  2. Ohio, USA - Power Struggle (Nuclear Power Plant): The grand opening of a Nuclear Power Plant (built out of a retrofitted century-old coal plant) owned by a Providence Member as part of a wider scheme to control the US Power Grid is threatened by an Cultist Terrorist who plans to cause a meltdown. An opportunity to eliminate another member of Providence is met with the chance to prevent a nuclear catastrophe, a world concern that can't be ignored even by the typically a-political Agent 47.
  3. South Dakota, USA - The Ecstasy of Gold (Wild West Resort Town): Low-key Providence Members operating a Wild West themed resort town as a front for huma

Outdoor recreational vehicle stocks are actually solid Corona plays, and haven't yet priced in this fact

Tl;dr: see title. If you think stonks will go up, buy in where recreation spending is being redirected.

Pt. 1: $BC Brunswick Corp, which owns Mercury Marine (leader in watercraft engines) and Brunswick Boat Group, which manufactures Sea-Ray, as well as the more fishing-oriented Lowe Boats and Boston Whaler.

Google Trends search activity for Brunswick Corp.-related small fishing watercraft search terms was up this April compared to previous years. I accumulated the data in a table. It's harder to see in the trends chart, except for the relatively steep upticks at the end.

Bass Pro Shops, not publically traded, confirms a "fishing" play at work

$BC earnings call is tomorrow. Like a lot of things, they're up bigly today, but I think they have room to run over Q2. Position: purchased yesterday before the run-up, 6/19 45c, but thinking of rolling it over to Sept. maybe?

Pt. 2: $PII Polaris

Ok, the real interesting story is Polaris $PII.

Polaris are a leading maker of recreational/outdoor utility vehicles like side-by-sides, ATVs, and snowmobiles. They also own Indian Motorcycles, including sweet rides like this.

$PII just had an earnings call yesterday, and actually maintained and built on their pre-earnings rally despite reporting (obviously) some negative results, including declines in sales lead by boats and off-road vehicles, with off-road vehicle profits declining mostly because of declines in sales of side-by-sides.

Here's the DD: Google search activity for all ORVs is sharply up, and is in fact at all time highs. This is reflected in ORV searches including the word "financing", suggesting this is real interest.

By contrast, there is minimal change in searches for motorcycle brands. "Jet ski" also remains on trend, although perhaps it will spike as per usual later in the year. (**With respect to motorcycles, it's interesting to note th

Thoughts on this kayak as a first-timer? link in text

So i've been shopping around, and even though I live near the mississippi river and all manner of creeks and lakes, it seems like finding any selection of kayaks in bass pro shops and various other sporting goods stores is impossible here. I'm in memphis for christ sake! the fucking bass pro pyramid is here, and still they don't have any of the mid-range Pelicans, Bonafide, Pescadore, or basically any other models in the $500-$800 range anywhere in my city or available online to ship to a store...

so im running out of options here, and it turns out that there are some pretty highly-rated Lifetime boats sold by walmart. I'm looking at this yukon angler 116. It's about $480 on walamart's website, plus $50 shipping. but won't be here until like second week of august. but with nothing else being available to ship or for local purchase, I'm starting to wonder if maybe i should just go ahead with this.

thoughts? My other consideration was this Teton Angler which is cheaper, but then would cost like $140 in shipping, so ends up being about same price for less boat.

I'm going to try to hit up some local Dick's and Walmarts and some local Mid-South Floats stores later this week and see if I can find any of the nicer models I've looked at for sale on the floor.. but that Yukon actually looks pretty decent and is right in my price target. I just don't want to wait 6 goddamn weeks lol.

EDIT: found a place about 30 miles away that carries these Native Watercraft Stingrays. that looks pretty nice. and could get it in tandem so my girlfriend and I could take it out together to just paddle around on some lakes or streams for a nice day trip. I want something I can do some ultra-light solo camping in as well, and that would give me tons of room for some gear for a 2-3 day outing.

Do the $DOOO

Summary: Powersports is likely one of the places vacation/recreation dollars are/have been being redirected, with things like movie theaters, bars, national parks, theme parks, cruises, and flights only slowly coming back online or coming back with restrictions. As noted in a fund's report from April on boat/engine maker Brunswick, any savings that would have been allocated to vacations involving flying, cruise ships, theme parks, etc. are probably being spent on other big-ticket purchases instead.

Which big-ticket items? Well, ORVs/watercraft are one category: Search interest for off-road vehicles- things like ATVs, UTVs/side-by-sides- all of which are seeing spikes of ~2X-4X YoY search activity and ~2X ATHs. Personal watercraft, i.e. jet skis, are seeing similar spikes. Small watercraft related search terms are also at ATHs or seeing above-average or on-trend activity levels.

Key players in this space are Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP, $DOOO), maker of Can-Am ORVs, Sea-Doo PWCs, Evinrude outboard motors, Alumacraft small boats, etc; Polaris ($PII), make of Polaris ORVs as well as several small watercraft brands; and Brunswick Corporation, which makes Mercury outboard motors and a range of watercraft, including Boston Whaler, Lowe Boats, and the more upscale Sea Ray.

I had been eyeing this play, particularly for Polaris, and in fact I identified this play a month ago but paper-handed my calls. More recently I was waiting for a bit of a pullback since PII is already pretty close to ATH. Unfortunately Polaris jumped up even more last week against the market trend, to $83, about 11% off its February high of $93 (it has been as high as $101 last December). In researching this play this weekend I found out why $PII bounced up on May 20: an article, (some paras pasted below) that went out in an industry publication on that date.

>OEM’s April dirt bike sales double with half of its dealers open

>β€œIt started off rocky at first but then business took off. I’ve never sold as many machines before in a month as we did in April,” said Mac Johnston, owner of East Central Sports, which has locations in North Branch, Burnsville

Are the Field & Stream kayaks bad?

Just trying to get a general consensus here from anyone that's owned them, as I see them on sale quite a bit.

I know some of their quality on some of their other items is not great, so I'm wondering if that also filters down to their watercraft. The Eagle Run model always seems to be on sale at Dick's.

Came very close to buying an Eagle Talon but went with a Pelican instead for my first one.

Ohio Sailboat Title Shenanigans

Hello friends, I come to you in a time of great need. I am a 19 year old college student who loves sailing and had no way of sailing outside of Boy scout summer camps. I drove by a sailboat for sale one day and decided to buy it. I had absolutely no idea what the hell I was doing and bought it for 500 bucks. The previous owner bought the boat when it was a part of the property he currently lives on. The owner before that left the state 10 years ago. Over the last few weeks I have been repairing the boat into working order and I was going to put it on the water this weekend. I go to the county building to get some direction on what to do and they tell me the markings on the side of the boat yield no information. A bill of sale can't be completed because it was sold in state and I was told to contact the division of watercraft for help. When I contacted them I was told that given the circumstances the previous owner would have to go about getting an abandoned title for the boat and then it would be sold at public auction and that if these steps were not followed it's a felony charge to me and the seller. I have already contacted the seller and he will get in touch with the guy before him. Is there anything I can do beyond this? the only way i can use the boat is on public water and I obviously cant sell it anymore. I've sunk 1K all in all into this project. What should i do?

August Event: Criminal Codex

###In this world, there are no sides. Only players. #####- Raymond Reddington (The Blacklist)

Whether your D&D group features the pinnacle of classic heroes or the gritty edge of antiheroes, criminal organizations can be a cornerstone for narrative drama in our games. So this month, we're going to work together to create a Criminal Codex! Each week will be a new event focusing on a specific flavor of criminal activity, until at the end of it all we have a huge network of organized crime, lone wolves, civilian associates, and even some state-sponsored crime! Check out the details below for the month's schedule and details for the first event!

Date Event
Aug 1 Organized Criminal Syndicates
Aug 8 The Lone Wolves
Aug 15 State Sponsored Crime
Aug 22 Non-criminal Associates
Aug 29 27 Plot Hooks

BONUS INFO: I will be compiling these posts together into a Criminal Codex similar to the Gandahari Gazetteer earlier this year. The best and most inspiring submissions will also get featured artwork if they also follow our Syntax & Grammar Guide. Posts that don't follow the guide will still be included in the final document, as best as we can, but they will not be in the running for artwork.

Lastly, if you'd like to help contribute to having even more artwork in documents like these, consider checking out and supporting my Patreon.

For those that may be less familiar with all the different categories of crime, a list of them has been included below, along with definitions. Please keep in mind that gratuitous descriptions of violence or descriptions of sex crimes of any kind will be removed and excluded from the final document.

"What do I get out of this sale?"

I've only been in retail for about 1.5 years, but boy have I got some stories. I'm not a great writer, so here goes one of 'em.

Where I work we sell recreational outdoor stuff, camping gear, running, cycling, kayaking, and accessories for all that and more. I work in the cycling and kayaks department, where we also sell roof rack systems to carry all your junk.

This guy comes in with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law. He wants to buy them kayaks for their anniversary, a roof rack, and kayak carriers. They're stoked about this, I'm stoked about this sale, and to make it even better, we have exactly what they want in stock! This isn't going to be a cheap purchase, though, so he wants them all to talk it over first; no biggie. I go chat up some other customers while I wait.

About 10 minutes later he comes back to me and asks: "So I'm buying all this stuff, what can we do about the price?"

Now, this is a $3000 transaction, so that's not an uncommon question, nor is it unexpected. But our prices are firm (minus asthetic issues like scratches). We also discount paddles and life jackets when you buy a watercraft. I tell him so, and his face starts to change, then he follows up with "Well I would hope that for buying all this stuff we could get something out of it."

That didn't bother me till later, and at the time was more confused than anything, and replied "You're getting kayaks, carriers, new gear, and having it all installed. That's what your paying us for and getting out of it."

He just stood there for a moment, face unchanged, then strode over to his family, muttered under his breath, then ushered them all out.

I don't know if he hoped I'd run after him or something, but it was his loss; we sold everything withing a week anyway to much happier customers, so no loss on our end. I just hope the couple weren't gifted sub-par equipment. That would suck.

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia for Nintendo Switch - Review

#Aqua Moto Racing Utopia

Genre: Watercraft Racing

Players: 1-4 Competitive (Local Splitscreen. Local Wireless, Online)

.

Review:

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is a personal watercraft Racing game, which will undoubtedly cause Nintendo fans to draw a direct comparison to Nintendo's own Wave Race franchise. As with those games, this game has players racing on waterways in a Jetski (no, not the name brand product, but that's what everyone calls them, so I'm doing that too), cornering around buoys, and trying to take first place.

Graphically, this game looks pretty good. The framerates are stead, the resolution is good, and there's a lot of detail in the courses, even the ground under the water. There are a few areas that could have used a bit more work – the racers themselves look a bit chunky, and I feel like the water itself could have used a bit more attention, but over all this is a decent-looking game.

The sounds here are decent, with some nice but forgettable music, and okay environmental sounds. The announcers are annoying as hell though, and I was grateful for the ability to mute them.

In terms of content, this game has a lot to offer, with 50 races in 10 environments, and 44 Jet Skis. This game also has full support for 4-player play in local split-screen, local wireless, or online, with local split-screen dropping the resolution and framerate somewhat, but still within an acceptable range. Don't expect to find anyone to play with online, though – the online lobbies are empty. However, in local play, in addition to racing and competing in stunt competitions, players can enjoy four extra party game modes, including a Rocket League-esque hockey game, a king of the hill competition, a tag-style capture the flag match, and a game that has players collecting rubber duckies and stealing them from each other.

So the big question then is, how does the game actually play?

I'm kinda' torn on that question. Sometimes while playing this game, it plays like a dream, but other times I find myself frustrated that the waves have me bouncing around like a pinball machine, or my Jetski doesn't seem to be responding to my command to turn... or I can hold down the button to make a sharp turn, which sometimes makes it spin around too fast. Suffice it to say, the controls in this game could have used some work.

There's one other element of this game that's problematic, and that's

City of Hamilton - How to help Limit The Spread

With an increase of COVID-19 Cases, vaccine rollouts and the current state of emergency/stay-at-home orders our sub has seen an increase of questions and discussion on the topic.

In an effort to keep all discussions in one place, and to avoid reposts, we have created this megathread for comments and discussion. This will be updated with relevant links and information as it becomes available.

Effective Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., If a police officer or other provincial offences officer has reason to suspect that you are participating in an organized public event or social gathering, they may require you to provide information to ensure you are complying with restrictions," a statement from the office of the Solicitor General's office read. This came after having previously stated tha

Full Hitman 3 Concept

  3. South Dakota, USA - The Ecstasy of Gold (Wild West Resort Town): Low-key Providence Members operating a Wild West themed resort town as a front for human trafficking are on the menu this time. All staff of the resort town remain in character as guests try live out their Wild West fantasies. Daily scripted shows such as show-downs in front of the saloon, hangings, and jail breaks take place on schedule, and can provide 47 with some excellent opportunities to stage unfortunate "accidents" for his targets.

Hitman 3 Complete Concept - 6 fully realized missions, bonus content, and a new game mode

I don't have a decent photo editor, so unfortunately I can't compile a cool location menu concept like another user (sorry, can't remember who) has been doing... so this is all in text format. Hope you'll all find interest in it anyway.

I've come up with a decent number of different mission concepts over the last couple of years and I think I have enough to cover an entire Hitman game, so I wanted to "trim the fat" and post the ones I think would work best with the next game in the series. Here they are, in the order they would appear chronologically.

Click the mission name to see the original post containing the full details.

**Some of these mission concepts are older and lack specific details to relate them to Hitman 2's story. Keep that in mind, those details can always be changed. The synopsis I give in this thread for each mission may differ from the synopsis in the original thread, to reflect new ideas or an effort to tie them in better.**
