This was a couple of years ago, but every time I take a particularly nasty dump in a public restroom I can't help but find myself cackling like an insane person.
I was skiing on a particularly cold day, slightly below freezing. I had done my normal morning routine of drinking a pot of black coffee, so by 10am my bowels were rumbling with early warning signs, like the little earthquakes preceding a volcanic eruption. Come high noon and Pompeii was ready to decimate the population so I quickly slalomed down the mountain to the only restroom at the resort.
After dancing around for 20 minutes in the busy line, FINALLY one of the two stalls opened up. Struggling to get my ski pants, then my long John's, and finally my boxers down to just above mid-thigh while somehow not destroying thousands of dollars of gear with feces, I barely managed to pull my underwear out of the way before it happened.
Literally steaming due to the below freezing temperature, liquid shit erupted like lava out of... keep reading on reddit ➡
Before you downvote me to oblivion just hear me out.
I'm all for people spending their hard-earned cash on whatever they want. But you cannot convince me that any regular person who is not a professional makeup artist, uses and finishes all their 100+ products.
It concerns me how hoarding and overspending on makeup have become somewhat of trending thing in recent years, it's why decluttering videos are gaining so much attention. A lot of influencers even admit that they don't even reach for a large number of their products mainly due to the overwhelming clutter and amount that's hoarded. They even forget that they even had/purchased the product and were surprised to find it in their collection.
Honestly how many of your favorite products have you panned, compared to the amount that you've purchased? How many products have you had to throw out because it's expired? Or have you ever forgotten about a purchase because you never reached for it?
There are only so many colors that can be... keep reading on reddit ➡
Basically the title. Sovereign seems more luxury and cooler than prime but the weapon selection is just awful. Most of the time the only weapon you see people will buy is Vandal, Phantom, Operator, Ghost, Sheriff and Spectre. Other than that, its very rare to see any weapon were used. The only good weapon in the bundle is Melee and Ghost. Marshal is 'ok' for some people because some people actually use it, but stinger and guardian is such a bad weapon selection. To me in every bundle must include at least one of these 4 weapons that is Operator, Vandal, Phantom and Spectre. Paying $71 for 5 weapons, 3 of it is consider a bad choice, and not even one of those 4 weapons is such a waste of money. I know riot is trying to make weapon for all skin but they really need to consider the prices because some weapon are just not worth buying skin for them. Maybe try to put 1 or 2 weapon that people actually use in the bundle, or lower the bundle price so it will seem more worth to buy.
Been having a bad day and just felt the need to get this off my chest.
So about a year ago I (25F) ended up at the ER for what was this crazy pain on my R side. It would come and go, building up to the point that I was shaking and sweating from the pain before it would subside. I have a medical background and given the location of the pain, I thought I had a kidney infection. By the time I was admitted, a male ER doc came to evaluate my condition. My vitals were otherwise normal, no other symptoms besides the excruciating pain.
He tried to tell me it was period cramps. Wanted to discharge me and gave me a big lecture for wasting ER resources.
I kind of freaked out tbh. I said I was absolutely not leaving because this pain was not only in the wrong location, it was more severe than anything I’ve ever experienced, it’s only one sided, and even if was my period, what I’m feeling is nowhere near normal anyways. Long story short, I demanded some sort of scan and wouldn’t ya know it, I... keep reading on reddit ➡
This is literally my every day in lockdown.
Edit- Thanks a lot for all the replies. I feel somewhat better now :-)
I'd always heard this was "the secret" but I decided to try it. Nope, absolutely no difference. Never creaming butter for cookies again. I am free.
Using this season as an example, if any of your slots are below 150, getting a powerful drop should 100% guarantee a drop for a slot where it'd cause some kind of increase, no matter how small. If you get a drop at 1040 and there's only one slot that's below that power level, it should force a drop for that slot.
Same with Pinnacles. If you get a Pinnacle drop, it should never drop for a slot where you've already got something the same level or better unless all your slots are already 1060.
This alone would make the power grind much less tedious and frustrating.
I farmed up for all of the items save one Ledx, this morning I get on and see that the price had dropped enough so that I could buy it, I was super excited for the extra 12 mill that I would get so I bought the Ledx and turned it in right away.
As I clicked turn in, I see that the reward was no longer a Thicc case, but just a regular Items case. I’m absolutely devastated. I put 10+ mil into that quest just to have it all wasted right before I got my money back.
Just a warning to anyone, don’t bother with the quest till you absolutely need to for the Kappa. It’s just a huge money sink. And if you really want an items case, just buy it from therapist for the 15k euros, it’s only like 1.6 mill, less then a fourth of the cost of the ledxs
To give y'all a break from your usually scheduled posts that are doing an awesome job with zero waste lifestyles here's a little commiseration from yours truly. The hardest part (for me so far) is accepting how much waste I already had in my house, and forgiving myself and moving forward.
I've been going through my house and searching for zero waste/low waste solutions for a while now and let me tell you, I have so much trash. It's mind boggling. I bought and wasted so many things! The part of me that feels all this guilt wanted to hang on to it all, like not ever dumping it would mean I didn't really make it but that's not true. Not every container is reusable, not every poor purchasing decision can be made into something else. I probably had a half-bag of expired and no longer safe to use makeup products, I don't even wear makeup!
So shoutout to my fellow strugglebugs. The most we can do is use those wasteful purchases we made to the best of our ability and do better next tim... keep reading on reddit ➡
Here you are - heartbroken, crying, not eating, not sleeping, wondering what went wrong, what could have been, healing...
And there they are - dating, living their best life, in a new reality, getting engaged, married, whatever... Maybe they ghosted you altogether.
Some people who move on really fast from one thing to another - they were never "there" to begin with.
They were never invested in it as much as you. They were looking for an "out" for quite some time.
They checked out long ago and forgot to let you know.
Some people can't function outside of a relationship. Some people are infatuated with the initial "honeymoon stage". Some people just need constant attention and validation.
Breakups are not a competition about who moves on faster. You might need a little more time to heal and get yourself together. You may not be the type to waste your time and other people's time on "rebounds", being "hung up" on some ex and so on.
Take the time you need and don't waste it wonderi... keep reading on reddit ➡
Wait to use it to go full time to school when you get out getting a degree that actually will get you a job.
Don't burn through your GI bill taking online classes just because it gives you a little extra cash in the short term. Especially dont use it to go to an online for profit school while you are still in active duty. I saw too many people treat the gi bill as a way to pad their pay a little bit while they lived in the barracks taking fluff from the university of phoenix.
You are burning tens if thousands of dollars when you do this.
My son recently watched this movie and it made me wonder if someone came up with that title, thought it was catchy, and the entire movie production stemmed just from that. It also makes me wonder how often that happens in the film industry since there are a lot of movies that aren't very good but have very catchy titles with puns. I'm not suggesting that it's always a bad thing for a movie production to start with just a title but I imagine many movies that start this way aren't very good because then the movie is being made the fit the title rather than a title being found that fits the film.
I don't care if the stories are fake, or if the advice is bad. I just love the shitflinging and crazy situations you find in both the posts and the comments. Browsing the top submissions from every week is a seriously good way to waste time.
I recently did a crown of sorrow, and it was great until the boss. This one kid said he knew how to do the whole raid. Once we got to the boss, however, things started to fall apart. This kid didn’t know when to switch buffs, when to shoot Gahlran’s hand, and how to deal with the deception. We asked him if he knew what to do, he said no, we asked why he didn’t say so at the beginning, and then he got mad and left. We would have taught him how to do it, but instead he wasted our time by pretending to know what to do instead of asking for help.
Don’t do this. Most people will teach you if you don’t know what to do.
Edit: I understand that if you put KWTD you shouldn’t teach people, but the crown of sorrow boss is a special case. If you know the other encounters the boss is so easy to teach it wouldn’t have taken any time, and the rest of the fireteam agreed. The thing I am getting at in the post is lying about knowing what to do, and then getting mad and leaving instead of at least as... keep reading on reddit ➡

I see everywhere an inflation of data science blog posts, Medium posts, Linkedin posts which are adding literally ZERO value to everybody in the field. If you think we need another explanation of why p-values are important, or how to read a CSV file in Pandas, you are wrong and you are wasting your and my time. Walk me through a nasty dataset cleaning process. Show me an end to end project of yours. Enlighten me with that new, weird, just-out-of-the-Academic-press new kind of Neural Network. But showing me how to make a line plot in Matplotlib? Thanks, there are 5000 tutorials out there for that. If you are doing this, and hoping that your reputation will improve as a consequence (and maybe your chances of getting hired) you are doing yourself a terrible service. Stop the noise, do ONE really new and impressive thing and you will have: (1) actually added value and (2) started to make a name for yourself out there. Thanks for watching.
This is a mistake i still make to this day. Dont try to find women through Instagram or snapchat, 80% its not gonna work unless you’re famous, rich, or have a impressive amount of followers. Because lets be honest here, women are a different thing when it comes to social media. They dont care about you, they get all the attention they need from thirsty simps online, and even then they probably have an actual confident guy beating their guts in real life.
Its sad but its true, its almost impossible to stand out from the other guys when it comes to online. It has nothing to do with you being ugly or boring, but texting in general isnt sexy at all. If you were to meet the same girl in person and had game, you’d have a good chance with her. But not on her instagram dms.
Trust me guys, i have a good amount of followers, and a 7/10 guy. Im good with girls in person, BUT i wont even lie. I have attempted to slide in over hundreads of women’s dm’s on snapchat and instagram combined. but let... keep reading on reddit ➡
My friend was about to spend 2.5k (aud) on a crappy Alienware pre-built, I stopped him and told him I’d build him a better one for the same price (https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/customx/saved/YnkNP6) but he says that he still may get it. Please upvote this so I can show him that it’s not worth it. Any suggested edits to the part list are welcome!
Two days ago my(22F) dad (52) accidentally found out that I‘m gay. I was listening to music and was on Tinder and didn’t notice that he was in the room. He came up behind me and saw what I was doing. There was no point in denying it (he knows how the app works) and I thought that this might be the time to finally get the truth out.
Judging by the title you can already guess that it didn’t go well. He started yelling that I was throwing my life away, how disgusting same-sex relationships are and the list goes on. He didn’t let me explain myself at all and left me crying in the room but not before calling me a waste of space. That hurt so much I can‘t even explain it. He had made a few homophobic comments before and I wasn’t sure how he would take my coming out. But I guess I’ve always thought he would be somewhat supportive of his own daughter. I called a friend who picked me up that night and she lets me stay at her place for as long as I need. He reached out yesterday and said he wan... keep reading on reddit ➡
this website is great and I have used it personally. It is a lot of fun and a great way to ensure less people are getting scammed out of their hard earned money.
(Disclaimer - sometimes scammers re-route their calls to real US companies, it is illegal to spam call legitimate companies and if it does re-route to a real company, disconnect and leave a comment explaining)
I’ll admit, I’m not the tidiest person in the world, I honestly find the process of making your bed an infuriating waste of time that seems to be the norm because.......it looks nice? I really don’t know I think tidying up bed sheets and such provides no Benefit; in-fact, I find it easier to get in a messy bed than to get into a neat one. So really unless your trying to look tidy for guests, I find this task a complete waste of time.
Edit: thanks for 17k upvotes! All of u who agreed and supported my statement, ur awesome!!!!! Those who disagree and but left a nice comment, ur still awesome!!!! Those who left a rude comment and were just straight up toxic, FUCK U!!!!!
My (15M) mom (51F) has a friend, Jane (52F), who went to Princeton for university. She graduated with some degrees, I think some kind of English undergrad and a science and business major.
Jane got married right out of university to another Princeton grad, Andrew (53M), and became a SAHM immediately. They had kids 1 year into there marriage, and now have 3 kids. Jane is still a SAHM, and Andrew is retiring in a few years.
I was in the car yesterday with my parents, and we were talking about universities. I told them I wanted to go to Princeton or Yale. My mom then told me that Jane had gone to Princeton, which I didn't know before, and maybe I could ask her for help applying.
I was amazed that Jane had gone to Princeton, and asked my mom what job she got afterwards, fully expecting my mom to name some amazing job like head scientist or CEO. My mom told me that Jane became a SAHM right after graduation.
"What" I exclaimed! "She should be doing so... keep reading on reddit ➡
Here's a guy who was way ahead of his time in that he was concerned about the environment and wasting paper. This happened in 1998. I was the chief IT guy for the organization.
A VP (nice guy, older, and not too tech-savvy) at a branch office came to our headquarters for a meeting and dragged a large box of papers into the boardroom. The box easily had the equivalent of 3-4 reams of paper in it.
He immediately started berating me for "wasting all this paper" and "unnecessarily destroying trees." Asking him to explain himself he showed me all the papers in the box which were nothing but emails.
It turns out he never used his computer. He told his admin assistant to print his emails so he could read them. Thousands of them over the course of a year. He didn't seem to get the point why he should just read them himself and not bother printing them.
