You were threatening/scaring him, he was just trying to protect himself.
He doesn't understand, he didn't mean to hurt you!
It's your fault, you shouldn't have bothered him.
You were stealing his food by picking flowers or swatting flies :(
He needs space to fly around, just let him run the neighborhood!
I use die hard dog people's arguments about wasps and suddenly I'm the devil incarnate. Wasps generally don't kill people. They are mostly peaceful and 100% essential in every ecosystem. Dogs are an invasive species that kill over 25,000 people every year (source: my environmental science prof). We spray wasps the second one person is uncomfortable, before they've even done anything. but I'm the irrational one ¯\(ツ)/¯
That fucker got too close to my lunch so he got smacked. And yes I'm proud of myself
This is some old drama, but I only heard of it recently and it's bizarre enough to merit a post about it. Also, it seems like the cartoonist's name might be a pseudonym, but I'm just going to use it (along with he/him/his pronouns) because it's the name the comic was written under, and I'm not sure what their real name is anyway. Anyway, this is the story of Pictures for Sad Children.
Edit: According to the comments, Campbell transitioned during this period and now identifies as female. I've changed the pronouns accordingly, although I'll still leave the name as John Campbell. (I'm not going to mention Campbell's current name, since I figure she would rather not get the attention.)
Pictures for Sad Children (or PFSC) was a webcomic by John Campbell which started in 2007. The main character was Paul, a man who gets hit by a car and dies. Now invincible, immortal and endowed with supernatural powers, he goes back to his job, since he doesn't really have anything better to... keep reading on reddit ➡
[obligatory sorry about format I'm on mobile]
This happened about an hour ago now. I woke up, drank a glass of water, and planned on going right back to bed. I work the graveyard shift on Wednesday into Thursday so I like to sleep until 2-3 to get myself fully prepared for the upcoming shift.
Almost as soon as I begin to drift off I hear the all too familiar sound of a wasp outside. No worries because he's just bangin' on the window like a dumb bug, awesome.
The apotheosis of this wasp's journey was already upon us. It breached the top of the line security offered by my screenless window.
I was annoyed. All I wanted to do was sleep but that reality had been ripped from me and for that this wasp had to pay. As any normal person would, I responded by running downstairs, grabbing two spray bottles full of miscellaneous cleaning products, and akimbo style spraying this wasp out of this corporeal dimension. As per standard in the United States I applied necessary overkill and sp... keep reading on reddit ➡
