Better living through vinegar coleslaw
Hello! Have you heard the good news? Do you have a moment to talk about vinegar coleslaw?
It's true! Coleslaw doesn't have to be coated in mayonnaise and thick, "creamy" dressing! There's a better way--the Way of the Vinaigrette! It's cheap, lower in fat and calories, and bright, tangy, sweet flavor cuts through the richer dishes coleslaw is usually served with. I whip up some coleslaw almost every time we grill now.
Coleslaw in general is also highly customizable: green cabbage, red cabbage, mix of both; onion or no onion; proportions; flavor of the dressing; all can be tweaked and dialed in to your liking. Note that most recipes you'll find online contain way too much oil, so much that it ruins the fresh, crisp texture and mutes the other flavors. (Seriously, you can't even taste the vinegar if you use too much oil.)
Here's my personal recipe:
half a head of green cabbage, finely shredded
half a red onion, very thinly sliced
1 medium carrot, grated
Dressing:
1/2 cup ap

Mixed Apple Cider Vinegar with Kratom, WOW
After taking various powders, capsules and extracts for years, I finally switched it up and traveled down the potentiation path. All I can say is wow, I am feeling top nine right now. This is how this all began...
I was researching the fabled Red Bubble preparation and reading about its ability to pull alkaloids out of the cell more efficiently via freezing the cell walls to induce burst/explosion. Part of this prep is that you mix your kratom with an acid/vinegar for 10-15 minutes before adding hot/near-boiling water. Amidst this I decided to go ahead and prepare a tea with the apple cider vinegar/kratom mix, boiling the mixture in a pot. Sadly, this is the first time i've consumed kratom as a tea. I always weighed my powder, mixed in water bottle and gargled it down, so this was new to me.
Yessssss! I notice a marked difference in how I feel, as if I am experiencing some new alkaloids in a greater concentration or ones that never were coaxed out by my GI. I am totally diggin

Can you substitute vinegar with Tabasco sauce?
I've got a honey mustard recipe that I like, but I was wondering if I could replace the teaspoon of white vinegar it calls for with Tabasco to jazz it up a bit. I've seen people talk about the reverse substitution, but I wonder if there's some reason why this won't work, or if I'll need more to equal the same amount or something.
Has anyone else tried this? I want to use up what I've already made before I make another batch, so that's part of the reason I don't just try it.

TIFU by actually taking a shot of apple cider vinegar.
You see, you see so many goddamn articles saying "just drink apple cider vinegar!" Or "one shot of apple cider vinegar a day can make your body do (x)!" I, however, have discovered that I was not meant to take it so literally.
Today, in a fit of insecure bodacious energy, decided I was going to start taking ACV with no previous research whatsoever. Lo and behold, here is where the problem presents itself.
I rush to the kitchen, stomach empty as I have just woken up. I rinse out a shot glass from the window sill, making sure it's extra clean so nothing counteracts my brilliant ACV plan. I grab the ACV, shake it up a bit, and pour myself a solid shot glass full.
And without a second thought, back it goes. It takes two swallows because surprise! Vinegar is acidic. This shit burns my mouth, my esophagus, and my stomach all in one fell swoop.
In glorious amounts of pain, I fill the shot glass with water and drink that. That's all of the water I drank, because I am stupid. It changed n

YSK if your dishwasher fails to clean well and rinse without spots, run a rinse cycle with a couple cups of distilled white vinegar. Your dishes will sparkle better than ever, and subsequent cycles will perform better too.
This works best right after a load of dishes, while it's still hot inside. Leave the dishes in it.
Mineral deposit buildup inside the pump, sprayers, and heating element can get pretty bad over the years. Dishes will refuse to fully clean, even with a rinse aid. Hot vinegar dissolves the buildup, and your dishwasher will perform great again.
Repeat once a month or so.
EDIT: Vinegar goes straight into the dishwasher, not behind the detergent door.

Apple Cider Vinegar rinse vs Clarifying Shampoo - which one is more effective on curls dealing with hard water and product build up?
I live in London, where the water is very hard. I have already a shower head filter which is working well. I do have product build up due to that though from time to time.
I was doing ACVR before every second week, then I mistakenly stopped as I got the shower head. now my hair suffers from build up again and people here have recommended a clarifying shampoo.
I want to know which is more effective - ACVR or a clarifying shampoo that is CGM approved?
also, if you have a clarifying shampoo that you swear on, please leave me a recommendation in the comments :)

You have to be a masochist to enjoy salt and vinegar chips
The only way you can enjoy it is if you like torturing yourself. You're eating acid. Your tongue is left numb and dry, and your lips are dry to the point where they chap. Not to mention all the health problems that come with so much sodium. High blood pressure, kidney issues, and water retention. They're also bad for your teeth because of the acidity. I don't know how anyone can enjoy salt and vinegar chips unless you're a masochist and like the pain that they bring. In which case, you do you, masochist.

Apple cider vinegar question
Hi everyone. Basically, i am in a neverending battle with hpv warts (male) for about 5 years now, and it seems there is no hope it will ever stop. All in all, after about 9 months they flared up again so its another round of god-knows how long cryo therapy. However i heard about this ACV and positive results and decided to try it. Now before i ask a question, i realise most of you dont approve of home remedies and will say something like go to doctor/therapy, i assure you, i did. So, first i applied ACV to one suspect wart, and was shocked by results, the effect was allmost the same as cryotherapy. So i decided to make sure that suspect warts are actually warts, since ACV should turn them white. And lo and behold, after applying it to usual flare-up area i was suprised there was several white spots where i would never guess there is anything. Is it possible for ACV to give false positives and potentialy turn some other tissue white, like scar tissue or simple irritation. I am aware of

TIFU by eating salt and vinegar almonds with chopsticks.
(On mobile, ignore bad formatting)
I love eating chips with chopsticks. It keeps my fingers clean, helps me eat slower, and keeps more of the flavor on the actual snack. I saw some salt and vinegar almonds at the store and thought they sounded delicious. Naturally, theyβre covered in vinegary salt that gets all over my hands, so I thought I could use my normal chopsticks method. It worked great, and the almonds were amazing.
So today, I was watching YouTube on my computer eating my almonds with chopsticks. I wasnβt really looking at the bag and was just absentmindedly eating. I glance down right as Iβm sticking the chopsticks in and the catch the edge of the bag, flicking vinegar salt directly into my eye.
I felt the salt hit, and for a solid three seconds it didnβt hurt at all. I was almost convinced it was not big deal when all at once my entire eye felt like it burst into flames. My eyes started watering and I was trying not to scream as I grabbed my water bottle and start dumpi
