So, during a conversation with a friend about cavemen he mentioned that the reason there were vegetarians was because as society evolved in food production and its variety, in addition to manipulating when something can grow and defining how healthy that food will be.
since in the past people were only limited to what they hunted or planted and nowadays access to various types of food is more common due to this? Give me your opinion.
.
How's it going folks? I know, me too, me too.
I remember seeing a poster for a viewing of a documentary called "Game Changers" like a year ago and I could swear it was by the vegetarian society at ETHZ, or maybe it was the environmental society.
I tried googling it but no dice, so my question is:
Is there a vegetarian/vegan society/student organisation?
edit: yo if You're vegan and at ETH, hit me up, always looking for some vegan peeps
In OTL, Allinson promoted the newly developed birth control methods, of which Gandhi disapproved. Gandhi actually defended Allinson's right to his opinion, but in this ATL, Allinson is so insulted that Gandhi disagrees that he strikes him, killing him accidently.
UPDATE: Found
I read this anthology of science fiction stories, or perhaps one long novel, it was so long ago. 2011/2012? It was this dystopian society where the most popular restaurant has only a few items on its menu, all vegetarian. One character is a very famous married female artist who fucks men for performance art and has series called "The Vulva Remembers". In one scene she recalls her past life as an Egyptian queen during sex. At some point the protagonist shouts, "I'm finally an artist!", or something.
Iβd like to move to become vegetarian, but itβs extremely difficult when the closest Walmart is 3 1/2 hours away. This makes keeping fruits and vegetables longer than a week almost impossible. Because of this, I have to basically rely on nothing but pork and chicken dishes for nutrients. Was hoping some of you guys had some advice or recipes that would help me. I only buy groceries every 3-4 weeks so Iβd like stuff that wonβt spoil in like a week.
I'm vegan
I looked at the website of the vegetarian society because I was looking for a solid definition of vegetarianism (I'm so sorry) but the things I saw were comical.
They say that slaughter is horrible and even mention that egg laying hens get slaughtered (the cognitive dissonance is real) but buying eggs is okay.
They say that free range milk is fine (because the cows get to live a happy life amirite?)
"Vegetarians donβt eat products or by-products of slaughter." Good fucking job
Fucking disgusting cheesebreathers
It seems to be possible albeit rough at first to create a complete vegetarian society. I had starvation issues so many times i had to start over often but now i finally got past that by having a large enough area of crops growing well enough for everyone to be well fed.
Is there a penalty for vegetarian only diets like comfort or mood? If so, would a mod help?
