Seriously, this is one of the things about Fallout 3 that has annoyed me to no end.
We have characters like Dr. Li and our dad calling us out for leaving Vault 101 saying shit like "WHY U NO STAY IN SAFE VAULT U DUMMY!!!!!!"
Nowhere can we do shit like call out our dad for causing so much destruction in Vault 101 when he left, nowhere can we bring up how Jonas was literally tortured to death, nowhere can we bring up radroaches attacked everyone and the guards were literally trying to MURDER YOU.
No, your only responses are basically acting like you left a safe location just because you have daddy issues. Not because, you know, THE FUCKING VAULT WENT INTO CHAOS AND YOU WERE LITERALLY GOING TO BE TORTURED AND MURDERED IF YOU STAYED.
Guess dad didn't really care about Jonas.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
When I heard Mars was going away, I knew I had to save my favorite destination somehow, so I built the main Braytech Futurescape area, from the rail system to where the lost sector starts. This is what I was able to create over the past month;
This was built entirely within the Hammer Editor (which many may know as the archaic two-decade old mapmaker), and is currently built for Garry's Mod TTT.
Despite the many, many, glitches that come from mapping with Hammer, I think it ultimately turned out pretty well, even if the low brushcounts meant scrapping some parts. If you have Gmod and want to try it out, feel free to check it out over on the Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2185637634
Edit: I know it's cliche, but I want to say thanks for the awards, it's really brightened my day.
Welcome back to Inside the Vault! This week, we’re sharing details on new features you will be able to try in the Private Test Server, which will reopen for play testing this Friday. We’ve also got information for you about next week’s update to enable the new event, “A Colossal Problem.” Finally, we’ve included a reminder about the Meat Week Seasonal Event.
#ONE WASTELAND, DAILY OPS, AND MORE IN THE PTS Banner WST01
This Friday, August 14, we’re re-opening the Private Test Server (PTS) so that you can join us in trying out upcoming features before they reach the live game. This time, play testing will include One Wasteland, Daily Ops, Legendary Perk updates we’ve made since the last PTS, and an early look at F... keep reading on reddit ➡
I’m replaying FO4 and it bugs me. Basically you have soldiers all around Sanctuary, you have Vault-Tec workers, and folks who clearly had to be working around the Vault (with all the trailers present), and despite the fact that annihilation is imminent, they go on as if it was a regular work day.
With the army I can understand that they’re trained to lie down their lives if needed but other folks? And hell, even if they’re trained soldiers, I’d imagine that this kind of situation would impose some panic if at least not a regular, human, fear for your life... which would prompt you to protect your hide first.
The only people who are panicking are Sanctuary inhabitants who are already going into the Vault and Vault-Tec rep.
Since Armor 2.0's introduction, Guardians have been flooded with armor that has random distributions of numbers across the six character stats of Mobility, Resilience, Recovery, Discipline, Intellect, and Strength. Opinions about Armor are like any other opinion: everyone has one. There are plenty of other guides on building loadouts in Destiny 2, and this guide is built upon the shoulders of many of these guides. I will give credit to those other guides as I go, but please feel free to provide links to other guides and write-ups below.
With so many great guides and so many different criteria for what is considered a "great loadout", I wanted to share my methods for 1) determining what to hold onto when you're Vault is full of armor that you kept because "the roll looks good" and 2) how to organize and utilize the gear you keep in building the basis of your "great loadout".
**1) 20+/15+: Keep all armor that has one stat above 20 and another stat above 15 (regardless of the s... keep reading on reddit ➡
Imagine that the world is over, and you can choose which Vault you will stay in, which one would it be?
You could never leave the Vault.
Build album. Starting table was the IKEA Stornäs. I hadn't touched a circular saw since shop class over a decade ago, and now I have a vault board game table as completed as it's ever going to be. I've played tons of games on it from small card games like Keyforge to the biggest game we have: Scythe with all expansions.
It's a dream. And if we want to pause a game and finish it on a later date we can put the toppers back on and go back to eating on it. The only "damage" to the table is that it can no longer be expanded with leaves, but it's big enough already so no loss there. I might make more rail attachments as needed, and I may eventually stain them instead of having unsealed pine, but for now it's perfectly functional.
If you want a gaming table and you aren't rich, I suggest DIYing your own. Every dad you know in your life will probably be happy to lend you some tools.
Table vault is 6ft x 3ft x 3.25in. Neoprene is 4mm thick, which is perfe... keep reading on reddit ➡
I was thinking about how Far Cry 4 and The Outer Worlds have "early" ending options where you can do something really dumb to get an alternate ending to the game. In the beginning of fallout 4, when the vault tech salesman comes to your door, you can tell him you're not interested, he'll ask you to reconsider and if you refuse him again, the game forces you to fill out the paperwork anyways. It would have been relatively easy to instead put in an early ending where Nate, Nora, and Shaun all die after you tell the Vault Tech Salesman to get lost.
Here's how it goes:The Salesman leaves. You go play with Shaun as usual. Codsworth calls you to the tv.
Codsworth: "Sir? ma'am? You should come see this."
Spouse: "Codsworth? What's wrong?"
TV: "...Confirmed reports of Nuclear Detonations in New York and Pennsylvania..." (etc)
Spouse: "Oh My God. What do we do?"
PC: "I..I don't think there's anything we can do. I think this is it. This is the end. I love you."
Spouse: "I love you."
Cods... keep reading on reddit ➡

I'd heard from the Raidsecrets discord about a leak regarding the Vault of Glass Raid circulating around the Destiny thread on 4chan's /vg/ board, and wanted to post the details here. As always, take it with a grain of salt, but I'll post the information here so that it can be cross-referenced when the raid officially comes back. Feel free to draw your own conclusions regarding the artwork and information the leak has presented.
Remember, I'm just the messenger, not OP of this "leak."

Before the war, was it possible to just go to Vault-Tec and buy yourself a place in the Vault? If so, what was the aprox. cost? As in, was it something that only the rich folks could afford or middle class people too?
I also recall that there were some instances where people would just “get” a place in the Vault like Sole Survivor and their family. If I remember right, it was because of Nate’s service in the army? Does it mean that veterans would get places in the vaults due to their service or was Nate a one-off (as in, he did something exceptional)?
I know there also were some instances where the entire city would get access to the Vault like with Vault 75? This also applies to all the Vaults with specific members like Vault 92, so would they just call the person they wanted (in this case great musicians) and say “hey, we love how you play the violin, so we’re giving you a place in the Vault”?
Tips from a veteran flux farmer:
Morgantown will provide more stabilizing agents (High Radiation Fluids, Glowing Mass, Hardened Mass) than almost anywhere else on the map. Also a good source of cobalt flux (make sure to get both the airport and the train yard)
Familiarize yourself with what plants & fungi you are looking for:
( Crimson )
( Violet )
( Fluorescent )
( Cobalt )
( Yellowcake )
And don't let it out
Tired of seeing their asses around. At this point it’s just pathetic.
Title says it all. It's so annoying when the guy who kills Jules or Kit just immediately runs away and comes back to loot the vault once everyone has left. The person who wins the POI should get the Shockwave or grappler. Not the person who is lucky enough to have kit or Jules spawn right next to them.
Whatever your reasons for deciding that the Vault is currently quote, “Working as intended” (even though NOTHING has been modified since it was deemed half-baked by the devs themselves last year), could you at least display our current Vault progress leading up to the 100%-mark as well, and not just after we pass it?
Veteran players would appreciate an actual percentage displayed to help them track how long they have until they can finish brewing decks, and newer players might not even KNOW how it works until they crack it open months down the line, since it’s such an obscured feature right now. There is literally zero justifiable reason for hiding such a crucial facet of this game’s economy from its playerbase.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. For anybody claiming this would “cause too much confusion” or whatever, let me remind you that:
Like the vault dweller from FO1 (i haven't played it so i don't know much about it), or the other vault dwellers that also came out from vault 13. Even in fallour 3, you can get butch as a companion, and this guy is a professionally trained killer for a teenager from a vault, and as far as i know, the lone wanderer is the only person who practiced (kind of) to use a gun. You can also see the vault security using weapons, so maybe they were trained ?
For those who are currently working on the Wayfarer title before it is vaulted, there is one extra rotation to consider.
The "Secret Victories" emblem in the Forsaken badge requires you to do 6 ascendant challenges. That's 6 consecutive weeks of work.
The emblem does not drop from Blind Well. This was changed when the Emblem system was reworked. The variants used to count towards the badge, but they no longer count. I had to dig through a lot of posts and guides to find this out; many players will tell you the wrong info because that's how they got it in the past.
Hope this helps somebody!
[Edit] A lot of people are stuck on 5/6 with the Ascendant Challenges. The issue seems to be the one with the sword; make sure you take the sword all the way to the end, loot the chest with it and take the sword through the portal. Also make sure to go the correct route, following Toland.
Luke Smith seemed pretty excited that Vault of Glass would be "modernized" by adding champion praetorians in D2 but that ain't it. Making people use certain weapons especially in raids is not fun. Learn from your mistakes in the Year 1 Prestige Raid Lairs and let us use the weapons we wanna use. In conclusion: champions = bad, don't add them to Vault of Glass please.
Tough day for the organization, it started well with Flippy being able to ace the power plant silently but went off the rails when they were unable to achieve the getaway.
The only way I can see them completing the mission this week and reaching the top tier of the power rankings is if they make some very important changes that most esport organizations struggle with.
The folks out a foundation and crater have an exchange machine, but the secret service doesn’t? How does that make sense?
They have all of the gold already! Maybe that’s the problem? The machines in foundation and crater can “run out”, hence the 200 daily limit. It would be hard to justify an exchange limit in a place with gold as far as the eye can see.
It’s annoying having to travel to crater to exchanges notes and then travel back to 79 to buy stuff.
We all have been theorizing that VoG is coming back on Nessus because it's staying and Vex world blah blah but I was reading the books and journals of Cayde that came with The Taken King Collector's Edition and Cayde said this:
"Saturn. No, someplace else. Someplace colder.
This moon has been almost completely converted, a sarcophagus of ice and iron.
Stone towers rung round with glaciers, rooted deep within a heart of snow.
I came here flesh and bone. Gave everything to the ice.
The important part here is that Cayde mentioned that Europa is "a sarcophagus of ice and iron" and that "it has been completely converted" clearly by our old friends the Vex and we actually saw a lot of Vex structures in the two trailers, one that seemed like the Pyramidion and another that was a a big radiolaria fall.
After more than a year of play, this was a major accomplishment for me, so I though I’d share. Usually the realization I’ve selected the wrong option is accompanied by mild cursing and the haunting question of what is wrong with me and/or the developers. Is the struggle this real for anyone else out there?
It will look so cool to have yellow boss health bars at the bottom of the screen saying "THE TEMPLAR" and "ATHEON, TIME´S CONFLUX". I liked these a lot since their introduction in Last Wish.
Edit: A lot of these comments are getting removed so here's some important info:
Edit: Maybe not. If Deacon was using tourists to watch it for him, the sign would be there to tell them where to watch Vault 111 from. If someone remembers if there is also an ally mark at other tourist spots (Like at that first RR quest) that would be great
Edit 2: Other tourist observation spots do indeed have the "Ally" mark
This seems to be a secret mission by Deacon to watch SS. Terminals in RR HQ state that over the past year, Deacon has been researching someone he calls "Wanderer", which just happens to be the default Railroad codename. He calls his special project "Project Tea Party". Perhaps this relates to the historical Boston Tea Party? He also is seen spying on SS throughout the game.
Raid Bosses are still the same
(Who downvotes this?)
I say no often. I feel selfish in some ways but I also do it for my mental health. I don’t mind working extra hours when I’m already scheduled but I hate working my days off. Sometimes I feel I’m pushing people away. I have anxiety so I try to live life as well as I can.
This was a great decision.
They announced how only GoS and Last Wish were were being carried through to the coming year, and then they dropped moments of triumph.
This is the best way to send off activities. Gg bungo

The acting and sound and music quality was amazing. I'm surprised I haven't heard it discussed more. I didn't care much for the third season. I'm hoping they come back with a new show. If you could only recommend one other podcast to me what would it be?
Most ridiculous thing I've seen in a nuke zone. STVI if you somehow manage to see this you've got some major brass balls. I wish she'd have dropped loot for you because you sure earned it lol.
For example, Vault 76 refers to 1776, when the U.S. declared independence from Great Britain, 79 refers to the atomic number of gold, 21 is the winning number in Blackjack, 51 (probably) refers to how out of the 52 contestants in Nuclear Winter, 51 will die and 1 will become Overseer, etc.
Hey all! It is I, u/riventheahamkara! I am joined by both u/Javetts and u/Gorynch for this tournament!
"Well what is this tourney?" You ask.
I'm glad you asked! This is a tournament where each participant is asked to create a hatsu. That's it! We are the hatsu vault after all, it's kinda what we do.
