So whenever i look for this advice opinions are divided and so are friends who wear them/dont . Should one be worn under the dress shirt ? It says it helps with sweeting in summer but also it says it makes you too warm in summer as well which is conflicting :D
There are pros and cons like this
3.Without an undershirt, your dress shirts, will inevitably get deodorant stains. Although you can remove those stains with Deo-Go, it is less convenient than wearing an undershirt.
Historically, elegant men did not wear an additional undergarment under their shirts.
In terms of comfort, not wearing an undershirt should reduce the feeling of constriction that can come with wearing multiple, similarly shaped layers.
Furthermore, the extra layer of cloth is usually undesirable in the summer, and an undershirt will show clearly through an open-weave shirt regardless of color.
Proponents of undershirts sometimes argue that it is more hygienic to wear undershirts, however, if you shower regularly and wash your dress shirts after they are worn, you should have no problem.
Many elegant men I know – including Clark Gable, G. Bruce Boyer, Fabio Attanasio and Herbert Stricker – prefer not to wear undershirts underneath their dress shirts but again, this is just their personal preference.
etc etc... making me always confused what is better choice..is it personal preference ? and how do you wear it in summer
Scrapped mine on accident RIP xd
My request is simple...
I'm a big guy who sweats a lot. I'll be moving to a hot and humid location (35oc and 80+%).
Furthermore, I'm looking for either a good casual shirt or a cheap and effective undershirt.
Some undershirts have gone on sale where I live, and I'm trying to work out if they'll be suitable
> 100% ultra fine Australian merino wool. 150gsm jersey knit. $15USD
Would this be suitable as an undershirt in hot weather?
LATE EDIT: This turned into an amazing thread and I thank everyone for their input. In the end I decided to just get one or two of these shirts, intending to add the other brands mentioned into the mix later on. Thanks!
I am stationed at one of the three Southern Canadian Missile bases (F.E, Malmstrom, and Minot) and with Summer coming up and HPCON cages I’m trying to start a fundraiser to get some money to support rafting trips, group wide bbq events, and general morale events. We are going to sell Wing T-Shirts and being Wing Staff Agencies I was also hoping to sell OCP undershirts with a left breast wing logo. Does anyone know the AFI, applicable rules or if a Installation, Group, or Squadron Commander to authorize that. It isn’t uncommon among TRF, Pipeline students, or misc. shops to do this kind of thing. Just looking for a place to start.

I’ve ordered “tan 499” shirts from two different retailers and both look somewhat greenish. However, the ones my det issued me are clearly brown. Could someone clarify? The last article I saw on 27 March 20 says that tan 499 is the only authorized color, but I didn’t realize tan 499 looked greenish.
I have some old feminine tops I wear as undershirts on days when I don't bind, but they are wearing out and I want to replace them with something more masculine.
I like a snug undershirt, but I don't want to go with a women's cut to get the right snugness. I have a large chest and an average build, has anyone had any success with a brand of compression or under shirts?
I know there’s gonna be people that will kill me in the comments because I called it a undershirt (😱 OMG! how could I? 😰) but I don’t know what the fucking shit is called 🤷🏽♂️
Anyways, I sweat alot, and it’s gonna be hot as fuck where I’m getting deployed to.. I don’t wanna sweat my undershirt out everyday, so what are some brands you guys recommend? I’ve tried looking for some but can’t find any that I think would help.
I was having a lot of problems find a bra that fit. Mostly with the right strap area rubbing. Someone suggested that I tried the Gossard Glossies Bra and I instantly fell on love. It was so soft. The straps were narrow so they weren't rubbing. The gore? (Middle part between the cups) was a little uncomfortable but nothing I couldn't handle. Then I looked in the mirror at work... I had the most unflattering, cone shapped boobs I've ever seen. My normally very round and flattering breasts looked like they were replaced with ice cream cones. Any suggestions on reasoning? Maybe a different cup size? Or try the padded version of this bra? Here is a photo for reference. Loose 30 Snug 29 Tight 28 Standing 31 Leaning 35 Lying 32 Bottom heavy Projected This bra is a 30D
I’m looking for an undershirt that will keep sweat away from my shirt while walking outside all day in subtropical weather (South Louisiana). I’m specifically looking for an undershirt. 100% lite Wool and Prince merino wool undershirts look like a good option. I’m hesitant because of the price tag. Anybody experience with this brand in subtropical climate? W&P told me they could be machine washed, do they hold up well in the washing machine? Thanks!
I think that I recall from my childhood that many NHL teams wore a blue-colored t-shirt under their sweaters. This particular brand or model was supposed top be superior in absorbing sweat. Does anyone else recall this or the brand?
update: passed my CNA state boards :)) applying for a job now! Anyone know any good petite scrubs that are TRULY petite? I’m literally 4’10 and the petite scrubs I bought for clinicals are still a tad too long for me even with shoes. Unless someone can also recommend me good shoes with a good heel maybe? I’m also on the curvier side in the hips so that makes sizing difficult. I just hate wasting money on scrubs since I can’t try stuff on due to covid. Any suggestions? undershirt suggestions also needed!
I've always liked the dark blue weighted shirt he wore under his orange gi and want to workout in it. There's definitely more girth to this specific shirt since it adds more weight to the body for training which seperates it from a regular tee shirt. If anybody knows of a shirt like it that can be bought online bc I can't find it haha
I even thought about how it was a really weird-looking kilt.
I'm in search of some undershirts a bit for travel but also for daily. I'm transitioning much of my wardrobe to either merino wool or technical "premium" fabrics.
I'm looking for undershirts that can work in summer too. So long enough, snug (not baggy), light, but most important that don't stink up right away. Something that can go two wears would be nice This is why I don't want most polyester, and why I don't like the Uniqlo airism--I did a search and many are using that. Yes the airisms and similar are light and can be washed in a sink but I try to avoid untreated polyester, especially if it's not a blend due to BO issues. They get smelly really quick, for example after a 2 hour walk in 80F/25C weather forget about being around other people (I'm tempted to admit it's my BO/Chemistry but this is a specific problem I've "field tested" and on my body it's definitely confirmed to be unique to polyester--weirdly enough even another synthetic like nylon does much better!)
I'm willing to get Merino wool if it's the only option, but what I'm seeing so far are not really undershirts, they're t-shirts. Having to baby an undershirt (no dryer) is not ideal, but odor control or ability to wear two or three times before a wash is appealing. I also generally want to own fewer things.
For cool weather in November-March, this is not so much a problem because I either don't wear an undershirt, or I just use cotton / spandex blend. I exclusively have Mack Weldon's and Tommy Johns (the old school regular 95/5 ones, don't know if they've updated) that work well and have lasted very long. It's just that they get too heavy to use once we hit the 80F/25C type temperatures.
UPDATE: Lots of cool interesting recs so far that I'll check out assuming that they're undershirts. One thing is I'm surprised by how many are using t-shirts as undershirts, unless I'm reading wrong! FWIW, my t-shirts are basically all silver treated cotton blends or merino wool for regular walking about, and for working out all silver treated polyester. For office, I still wear cotton dress shirts and polos, I haven't gotten around to switching those out yet, not sure it's worth it as the quality of the items are still good.
Anyone know where I can get a simple blue long sleeve with the uzumaki symbol on each side without the turtleneck?
(Don’t want it for cosplay just casual wear) I can only seem to find pretty low quality stuff, which is a shame because I like the design.
Been itching for more weeb clothes. Considered just having one custom made but it seems most custom shirt shops only allow images on the front or back of the shirt and not on the sleeves.
Any help would be appreciated.
Weird question. I've been looking for a place to buy the bog standard white thermal waffle knit shirts (like this) for ages. I am not sure what to look for here or where to look. Any ideas? Tak!
