Hello, its going to be my first time wearing scrubs. I purchased a couple pairs and ive noticed they go down very far exposing my male chest lol. Is it normal to wear undershirts under scrubs?
So through the conditioning of years of wearing garments, I realized I like having an undershirt under button ups for my desk job. I was still wearing my dri-lux garment tops for a while cause they were thin and breathable and felt not alright under a shirt, but they're wearing out fast. Does anyone have tips of what they've done to replace garment tops?
I'm reluctant to do the fruit of loom cotton undershirt cause that seems too thick... Any thinner alternatives out there?
If anyone would point it out to me, and please excuse my English it isn't my first language.
What are folks' thoughts / suggestions for versatile and durable t-shirts?
I standardized on 2xist crew/v-neck black tees about 8 years ago but they're getting pretty long in the tooth so I'm looking to upgrade.
Here's what I'm solving for:
Here are some options I'm looking at, would be interested to hear people's thoughts with any of the below (or if there's anything I should be adding to the list)
You know, tank-top undershirts for men. Why would anyone wear one instead of a regular, sleeved undershirt?
As far as I know, undershirts serve two purposes: keeping you warm, and preventing pit stains on your shirt. It seems that sleeveless undershirts keep you less warm and have zero impact on pit stains so... why are they thing?
Edit: Why wear them under a shirt instead of an undershirt with sleeves.
I am trying to find a brand that can last and just feels good. Undershirts are usually a quality consistency issue. Boxers and boxer briefs I just usually buy inexpensive. Last boxer briefs I bought were good fellow brand from target and they are surprisingly comfortable. Which are you favorites?
Like the title says, I just started HRT and the twin girls are growing faster than expected even on a low dose. I'm not out and don't have a plan to come out soon but now that I'm on HRT I can't bring myself to stop.
Anyone know any good styles or brands of some kind of undergarment to minimize the boobage? My itty bitty tiddies are starting to poke through my t shirts.
I make cheap af tanks tops to garden in out of men's athletic tanks. You know the kind that come 6 or 8 to a pack? They are lightweight and CHEAP. Hanes is one option but I think I bought the George store brand of gray/black tank tops. They were 9 for $13 or some low price. I like my shirts looser, so I bought big men's.
For clinicals I’ll need to wear long sleeves to cover up my tattoos. I’ve been reading good things about merino wool, and was wondering if any of you had experience with them as undershirts. Do the lightweight ones get too warm? Are they comfortable?
What is your favorite go-to undershirt brand that is flight approved?
Sorry, 35 weeks and a clueless FTM. I was gifted some Gerber undershirts with the side snaps and I guess I'm just a little unsure when they should be used? Will he always need an undershirt or just sometimes? Thanks!
I get new undershirts about every 3 months or so because they always seem to get bacon neck after that amount of time. I’m tired of buying them that often because of loose collars. So which brand have you had the most luck with?
What are some of the best shirts that are like dry fit that you guys wear with the uniform?
Recently I've been building up my neutral colored plain tee's and have been looking for heavyweight, slightly oversized shirts. I've gotten some quality shirts so far, however today my Kith undershirts came in and I'm disappointed and confused about the thickness. I should have been wary considering it was only 60$ for 3 shirts, but my Uniqlo U crewneck shirts are some of my favorites and only cost me 15$, and a Kith hoodie I have is quite thick and high quality. Basically these Kith shirts are pretty thin... by far the thinnest tee's I have, even though in the item description it says 190 GSM, which I understood to be on the heavier side for a tee. Basically I'm wondering if this was a mistake on their end, or if my understanding of GSM is off, so I can be more knowledgeable for future purchases. Thanks.
I know there have been a few posts on here the passed few months after the February 36-2903 update that stated only Coyote Brown T-Shirts were authorized with OCPs (it specifically said NO Tan). That caused a ton of confusion because most everyone had been buying TAN 499 undershirts (same as the Army). On top of that a few manufacturers are selling shirts labeled Coyote Brown and they appeared to be a totally different shade of brown than what most of us were buying. Well finally this has been clarified with corrective actions to 36-2903 on 15 May.
It now states:
[NOTE: Effective 1 June 2020, Airmen will only wear the Coyote Brown (Tan 499) T-Shirt.]
My glorious Soffee Tan 499s are still in reg. I'm from Fayetteville NC so this is a matter of hometown pride folks.....I take the little victories when I can get them.
* Grey is much closer to human skin tone.
When I was younger, I used to think it was called a WHITE beater b/c the tanks were usually white but nope, it’s a wife beater. Anyone else feel uncomfortable with the name?
Does anyone know if AFROTC cadets wearing the FDU are authorized coyote boots and the coyote brown undershirt? The AFI for big Air Force states this is authorized (A6.5.7. & A6.9.) however in the latest AFROTC supplement to 36-2903 that I can find (24 JULY 2018) states sage green boots.
I'm looking for big, flowing tops to wear over an undershirt when going out for grocery shopping or just everyday doing. I used to like to wear practice hockey jerseys for this. I could put it on over an undershirt and they were light, breathable, and covered me up in a way where I felt less ashamed of my body. I have recently searched for these and found that they don't really exist anymore. I would appreciate help looking for an alternative this summer.
When I first put my tank top on it was tight and it hid my gyno it was still a little noticeable, but it did the trick tho. Later I began to sweat in my tank top because it was 99 Degrees and that is when shit went downhill and u guess what happens next.
Man I fucking hate summer time I can’t wait till winter again.
Just curious if anyone has any experience with these. I know how important it is to block sun, and if possible I'd like to go this route instead of sunscreen as sometimes my skin gets a little bit sensitive to it. I also think it might help keep me cooler in general, and wanted to know what color might be best for this. I'm thinking white but you guys might know better.
I searched and saw the previous thread, but I have a more specific question.
Have you found a good OCP shirt that is slim fitting? All the ones I’ve found are tight on the chest but loose on the sleeves and ride up my armpits.
I had a Gildan shirt that was slim fit and very snug around my arms but I lost that shit & the one I bought wasn’t anything like that one..
The Soffee ones fall apart and feel disgusting, the issues ones ride up my armpits.. I heard Rothco was good. But haven’t bought one yet.
Probably a dumb question BUT I’m Thinking about ordering the pack of 3 kith undershirt t shirts if I by them my regular shirt size Can I wear them as a regular shirt or do I need to go a size up?
I typically run my sniper loadout, so no plate carrier to stop the bbs. My field has no minimum engagement distances, which means you can get full auto’d with like 400-450fps guns (don’t know what they’re shooting in joules) point blank.
In short, I’ve been getting full auto’d with these wicked ass guns. Anyone got any recommendations to put under my camo? I’m coming home looking like I have chicken pox. I honestly don’t get how Alfonse runs around with his dry fit clothing on. I guess my pain tolerance is a little lower than most people.
My arms are fine I just need something for my chest and back. What I have now is essentially a tissue protecting my body with a standard cotton undershirt. It’s essentially nothing.
Anything thicker to throw under my camo?
Suggestions would be appreciated.
I have had a hard time finding Fruit of the Loom 3XB (big) undershirts. Walmart had them in stores for a while and now it seems that they can only be ordered through the website. I searched and found that Fruit of the Loom sells them directly to the public (up to size 5XB) and if you have an order of $50 or more, shipping is free. I ordered three 3-packs ($13.49 each) and two pairs of Jersey athletic shorts ($7.99 each) for a total around $54 after a discount for signing up. Shirts fit fine unlike the Hanes which have all drawn up above my waistline after washing. I hope this helps.
Here is a link describing, with pictures, why grey shirts are better...or tan if you have a darker complexion. It drives me nuts seeing that shirt line under shirts all the time!
Can anyone recommend a good shirt to wear under dress shirts? Something that can hold up to frequent washes, and hopefully wouldn't be too obvious under a white or light blue shirt (seems like all my white undershirts are still visible underneath unless I'm wearing a solid dark color.
You know the drill. You hike and hike and hike and you're sweating balls and it's great. But then as soon as you stop moving, you're just wet and freezing and the wind comes along and makes it worse. And then it turns out you're just sitting on the hill for an hour and the sun is going down.
I'm an avid hiker but my body still starts sweating as soon as I'm moving (it's the hot yoga I swear). I also get chilled easily as soon as I stop moving. In the past I've brought along an extra undershirt and sportsbra in my pack. But I'm wondering if the need to change could be mitigated by using better materials.
So what's your MO? Bring a spare undershirt? Wait for yours to dry? What's the best fabric for both moisture-wicking and quick-drying?
(I'm mtf pre everything) I really want to wear something under my shirts so people cant see the outline of my body (like my nipples ugh >.<) I can't wear a bra yet for multiple reasons. (I still live with my parents, they would not be accepting for starters) Does anyone know of some good under shirts to wear under t shirts for that kind of thing?
