I’m unsure if I am making assumptions too soon so I’d like to get input from some other people.
The situation is this: I have been back home from university and living with my mom and brother. My dad’s job keeps him away from home most of the time but I see him occasionally.
When I’m home, I do my own laundry but a few days after I got back, I noticed some of my clothes (the ones I’d left at home) were in the communal dirty laundry pile. At first I assumed my parents were just washing stuff for their own reasons but after this I began to notice missing items. First: a crop top I really like and a pair of high waisted shorts went missing. After this, I realized that I was missing several pairs of underwear and bras. At first, I assumed that they got mixed up when packing but I couldn’t find them when I looked. Because I assumed it was my own error, I didn’t ask about the missing items for a while.
It wasn’t until this last week that I started to get concerned. With places opening... keep reading on reddit ➡
I've been doing some online shopping on Poshmark (I'm poor lol) and I can't help but notice a characteristically large amount of tops (I searched for blouses) that you can't wear a traditional bra with.
You got your tube tops, off the shoulders, halters, sheer tops, and those high neck tops.
I've always wanted to try some of these tops, but A) I don't know if I would wear them enough to justify their purchase, B) I don't know what people wear under these tops.
I am small-chested but I've never felt comfortable going bra-less. I love bralettes and I know some people wear them under these tops with them purposefully showing underneath. However, I'm pushing 30 and having my bra straps show in any way just seems kind of juvenile to me. It could also be that I've gotten more lazy and just want to reach for shirts that don't need a special undergarment.
So what do you ladies wear with these tops? Pasties? The dreaded strapless bra? Nothing?
Do you also avoid these tops like me?
HONESTLY..... as someone who sometimes suffer from vpl or choosing the right bra to wear underneath tops or bra back bulging etc...... i really wonder sometimes how these idols do it. might be inappropriate to think or talk bout this but i really AM curious. especially guys who wear skinny white pants. the amount of times i see my girl friends wearing white pants and you can see their supposedly seamless nude underwear right through the material and or while under the sun.
also like how are all idols' underarms SO DAMN smooth??? i personally had ugly dark underarms from shaving and i have since moved to IPL laser treatments but they still aren't smooth? are these dumb thoughts lol idk
I'm a cis father with a trans son. My son wears binders and believes he should be able to wear them without anything over them. My girlfriend is uncomfortable with this, as she says a binder is an undergarment, and should be worn under other clothing. Wondering what the general consensus is. Thank you.
Hi! I'm not LDS, but I have a question. I grew up with a sorta LDS step dad. (By that I mean he didn't do anything I hear LDS people are supposed to do, but he grew up in the religion, so that was his identity.)
So eventually I learned about The Sacred Underwear through jokes and stuff, but I don't recall my step dad wearing anything like that. He wore basketball shorts under his pants, but that was it.
So my question. Were the basketball shorts his version of the undergarments? Do you have to earn the right to wear the undergarments?
I don't know why I'm asking after him being out of our lives for 3 years, but I guess I'm just curious now.
Thanks in advance!
I've been simplifying and buying less for the past 3 years and recently realized that all my bras/underwears are about that old: 3 years. Some are probably even older (ha pleez don't judge).
Brands usually say we should change that stuff every year (I've even heard every 6 months!) cause they lose their support or elasticity or something.
Similar question for other items not specific to women:
- Pillows: I think Oprah or someone said to replace these every 1-2 years? Pretty sure mine are like 7 years old.
- Sheets and Towels: I've heard every 1-2 years too - which feels very wasteful to me.
- Sneakers: my dad-in-law who's a runner said they have a milage limit, but I tend to just wear them till the soles all wear out.
But are these guidelines true or just a ploy to get us to shop more? And these items you can't really buy used, so what are some minimalist solutions so we can still buy less?
Looking for suggestions on places in Fort Wayne to be fitted for undergarments, specifically bras. I've been trying to call Barbara's New Beginnings all morning and nobody is picking up, even though their hours are listed as 10 am to 4 pm. My partner had the same problem when trying to make an appointment with them. I'd prefer to avoid Victoria's Secret.
Any suggestions? Thank you so much in advance!
UPDATE: I went to Soma at Jefferson Pointe, and it was an AMAZING experience. They don't require scheduling appointments, which is nice. They were friendly and helpful, and seemed like genuinely pleasant people. The bras they helped me find fit wonderfully, and are so comfortable! Also they're cheaper than Barbara's, which I definitely appreciated. 10/10, highly recommend and will continue to shop there.
The entire articles below since they’re not long and I’d be repeating. I hope posting it at all is okay, that it isn’t a rule breaking story. I see it as something of great interest to people here.

I'm a dum dum as usual and I don't know if they're implying my boi Hajime got laid or something else entirely. Please be spoiler free if you can. Just finished chapter 2 trial. I don't know if it's something that the Japanese do or if I'm really dumb.
I love backless dresses. I have found my dream dress, in my price range. The issue is, I am quite busty, at a 38f. Any ideas on what works as a backless bra that won't leave me looking like a grandma?
Recommend some underwear, briefs, bikini, boy shorts, anything that will be kinda mostly seamless!
"He felt like asking them to show a little more respect for his privacy as they all began stripping off with impunity, clearly much more at ease with displaying his body than they would have been with their own." Why wouldn't the 6 doppelgangers have changed ahead of time into Harry-sized clothing (and undergarments)? Hard to imagine Fleur walking into the Dursleys' wearing baggy dude-clothes, but the alternative is peeling off her clothes once she's gotten a lot, ahem, bigger. I'm sure this as well as the whole concept of the Seven Potters has been discussed, but I'm new here and just reread for the 20-somethingth time.
Totally not asking because I just spent 15 minutes cutting frills off of a pair of underwear and am wondering if anyone actually likes frills
I struggle really badly with bras, I'm not a huge fan of a lot of padding but need a little to feel comfortable.
I just want undies that cover my whole bum lol and I don't like the leg elastics because they always dig in.
Personally Aerie seems to be a pretty safe bet for me but I like seeing what everyone else wears since I'm definitely in need of new undies
I ended up getting chiaki’s underwear during the main story and it left me confused because I thought you obtain the underwear in island mode just like in the first game with school mode. How did I obtain them early?
The fact we’re seeing more people condone her actions is repellent, and says a lot about current culture.
The biggest figures on YouTube are becoming immune to real accountability. Regardless if you break a stay at home order, yell racial slurs, destroy a 19 year old’s mental health out of pure jealously, send sexual garments to 13 year olds, talk about a 16 year old’s dick, fake a mental illness, bully someone with a mental illness, cover for pedophiles, witness a child be sexually abused and not report it, it’s all forgivable. Often they profit off their controversy, when they already have quite possibly the easiest job in the world. You don’t have to apologize or even address it these days.
Celebrities should not be treated as if they’re above the law, by doing so we endanger others. Adam is a victim of grooming from an adult and he is being blamed for it. As if a thirteen year old had any ability to decipher the true intent in that situation.
If it was truly just a sick joke, h... keep reading on reddit ➡
Expensive undergarments are a waste of money. Yeah, when changing in a public locker room, I obviously would want to be seen in fairly decent undergarments, but as long as they don't have stains, holes, etc, I would feel comfortable with it.
So I’ve been having this problem with my Boxer briefs. Basically They keep riding Up my leg. I’ve tried smaller and Bigger sizes and even those “No ride up” underwear but nothing wants to work. I’ve tried every Trick in the book and I still can’t have a day where I’m “Ride up free.” What’s even Worse is the bunched up fabric Irritates my Skin in my Area... Ive also tried trunks too an those won’t help. I guess the ultimate question I’m trying to ask is, Should I switch/ Try briefs? Will Getting rid of the “Legs” Solve my problem?
Just destroyed my alt's.
Cannot be fed into existing undergarments.
Cannot feed existing undergarments into these undergarments.
Cannot be Brilliant Mornstoned
Naming convention seems different.
ArchePass = "Bound **** Gold Cat Undergarments"
Regular = "**** Gold Cat Undergarments"
Brilliant Mornstone issue aside, I had planned to level up the undergarments on my main as an alternative to get different stats and merge into my existing garments or vice versa depending on what I rolled, not a big deal I spose.. #1stworldproblems
Hello! Recently got engaged to my wonderful boyfriend of 4 years. While we can’t do much wedding planning at the moment (thanks, covid19), I’ve been starting to browse online for wedding dress options. Anyone have any advice for what to wear under the dress to help shape/provide some structure? Normal shape wear rolls down immediately (got a decent bit of back fat that likes to be a diva haha) and I doubt I’ll buy anything with straps... honeylove was ok under a bridesmaid dress last year but the plastic boning started to crease by the end of the night. Anyone know of any super solid corset options? Bonus points if it’s also pretty 😉😃 Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know how many undergarments a person owned during this time period? (As they take a lot of time to be made). And were the undergarments actually underwear or did they use something under the undergarments as well?
Looking for something new, for multi-day trips. Thanks!
Pretty much as the title states. I need bras and underwear and am super ready to branch out from Victoria’s Secret/Pink. Body positive, trans inclusive and disability aware companies would be a huge plus. TIA!
When I saw the Hutton dress, I knew it would be mine. After trying it on, I was still in love but I knew the cups in the front (the dress comes sheer with zero cups attached) was not going to cut it for me. I am 5'1 with double d's. I need support. I thought, hey, this has sleeves, a body suit should work!
The problem is I cannot find one. I would like it to be nude, it needs four deep v's for the back, front, and both sides and no thongs.
I love this dress as it's light and comfortable, I can sit on the floor in it, and run in it etc. I want something underneath that won't be constricting, gives my boobs a little support and will fit under this dress, leaving all the skin exposed as intended.
As my search continues, if any of you have found a good undergarment these deep V style dresses, I would love any and all recommendations.
Pictures of the dress for reference.

Evelyn Nesbit, since she was a model and actress I wouldn't be surprised if it were a costume, but is this perhaps a simpler type of chemise or something? (as opposed to the super lacey stereotypical edwardian chemises)
TL;DR: Did anyone wear a corset underneath their dress as shape wear? Would you recommend it?
I am (hopefully -- thanks COVID) getting married this November, and I have already purchased my dress. I am a large person, size 26, and I'm somewhere between an apple and a pear, probably leaning more towards apple if I'm being honest with myself. I was thinking of wearing a corset underneath my gown to serve as shape wear. I just want to shift my fat around a teensy bit in order to look slightly more hourglass in shape. I don't need """smoothing""" because my dress is so heavy that you cannot see lumps and bumps.
I have had bad experiences with shape wear in the past. I wore a girdle under my homecoming dress in high school, and by the end of the night, it was digging into the top of my ribs so bad I couldn't breath and it left bruises. I recently tried to purchase Spanx for a different event, but I literally had to cut myself out of it because it rolled up as I was pulling it on and I cou... keep reading on reddit ➡
