Hi, trumpet player that loves phoebe bridgers here. Does anyone know the notes for the trumpet part at the end of "I Know The End"? I've been looking every where and I just can't find sheet music for it.
i'm trying to record a cover of the song, and i wanted to see if you guys knew notes at the beginning
I have taken up trumpet after some time and (of course) I started with horns from IAOTS song.
I found a notes for trumpet solo and the last verse here https://www.reddit.com/r/neutralmilkhotel/comments/9ml4ad/does_anyone_have_the_trumpet_sheet_music_for_in/
but I would very much like to get the sheet music for "Now how I remember you" part. So if anyone has, please share.
Also, I found somewhere it is captured (exactly this part but not sure how well) in Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea 33 1/3 book I assume someone here has, so if you can just post a phone pic from it in here I would appreciate. Thanks.
When you place a copper block under a note block it will make a trumpet sound.
This is because trumpets are made of brass, and brass is an alloy containing copper.
I have always wanted a trumpet sound with note blocks, and this is the perfect time to add one.
While articulating "Ka", to Double Tongue, my lip/mouth shape is incorrect to blow a sound on the trumpet. The "Ta" shape allows me to blow a note therefore no problem with Single Tonguing.
Hello I am a freshman and I'm in my school's marching band but I am having trouble hitting anything above a high a, I play in a bach 5c mouthpiece with a Yamaha trs 200ad. if you have any tips on how I can improve my range please tell me them down below, thanks.
Alright so hear me out. Based on the title it seems kinda obvious, just use a trumpet. But there are a couple of things that make a (trumpet preset) keyboard feel more appealing to me.
For the first point on time. My ear training and music theory knowledge is in its infancy right now, and transcribing is a very long process on the trumpet I essentially bumble around blindly without any sort of rhyme reason or understanding of what I am doing (I elaborate more on this further down). Transcribing on a keyboard with a trumpet preset is much faster, and then after I figure out the notes being played, I play them on the trumpet (one at a time).
The second point is that I can't necessarily play all the notes I may be hearing in a solo. Anything above a G above staff I cant play reliably and even G tough most of the time. It makes transcribing on a trumpet much more difficult if not near impossible because I have no way to emulate what I am hearing to confirm it is the right note. This is especially problematic if I am trying to transcribe something with a plunger or harmon mute because my entire concept of pitch and tone goes out the window and I have no idea just how high someone may be playing. Like I mentioned before, my ear training is in its infancy so I can't rely on that. A keyboard at least allows me to brute force it a bit easier.
On the third point. Since I'm also trying to learn music theory at the same time, I don't know if that would sway any opinions considering that the Piano is a much more intuitive instrument when it comes to music theory related things (or atleast I think so). I can visualize and process information much easier on a keyboard. The trumpet feels one level more abstracted to me because I don't have a strong of reference of how notes relate to each other. When I do transcribe something, I currently don't feel I am getting anything out of it. More so, I just stumble into the right notes and move on. I don't really have any sort of theory background to try to catalogue or process things more than, "that was a C and then it was a D etc...". At least with a keyboard I have better visualizations of how things are relating to each other and I can more easily realize "oh those are the notes in an Ab Maj 7th played harmonically" or something, IDK if thats right I don't know music theory. I lack that level of

I can play up to a high C and maybe a bit above that on my trumpet but playing higher than that is very challenging for me. What is some advice that you guys would recommend?
Ever wanted to play a game AND practice your instrument at the same time?
Since February, I've been developing a new game for instrumentalists to practice note reading. Here's how it works:
On your phone, tablet or computer, a note is displayed on a bass or treble staff above a racing kart. Play this note on your real life instrument, and your device will detect the note you play using the microphone. If you play and hold the correct note written on the stave, the kart will drive forwards. But of you play the wrong note, the kart stops. Can you keep the kart moving?

It's great for students to practice note reading, but can also be great fun as something different to do for the more advanced players!
I'd also like to make a shoutout to all the people who responded to my post about the first version of this same game on Reddit 3 months ago. All your comments and feedback have been invaluable in developing this program, and if you were one of those people who got involved with Go Notes the first time, I implore you to take another look. Statistically speaking, the suggestions in 87.6% of hundreds of feedback comments has been implemented into this update, with the rest queued for future release.
To anyone reading this post, I'd love to get some feedback on the game. I'd really appreciate it if you were to try it out on your Android, Windows 10 or Mac device, and provide some feedback in the form of a review or in a comment down below. Don't forget to share this with friends if you like it! I can't wait to hear what you think!
