Let's talk poop! Looking for an UL backcountry trowel, preferably The TentLab Deuce #2 and a backcountry bidet! Whoop whoop! Let's "leave no trace" when we toot!
Has it been removed? I know the Africa dialogue has been removed and I’m wondering why I can’t find the poop trowel at the scout camp. It was a super funny bit of dialogue
I was looking for a cat hole trowel but idk about it being plastic; would it break? Can it serve another purpose? So I transitioned into gardening trowels but noticed the added on weight with the metal and questioned its additional value. Finally, looking into gardening knives.. I liked that they can be used as a knife as well as a cat hole trowel; helps me justify the additional weight. What do you guys think? What option did y’all go for? Any other trade offs or options I’m missing? The subsoil where I will he camping is clay (difficult to dig in) so think I need something sturdy to reach the 6”.
OPINION (TLDR; 1.Blocking Spam, 2.Trowel Clutching, 3.Breaking/Unbalancing Towers)
Ok, for people that don't know this, default trowel is extremely underrated by many. Just want to point out I think default trowel is the best trowel in general for all situations, obviously shadow clone helps more in combat and trampoline for stalling or mobility, etc. Ok, now let's start with reason ONE: Blocking spam. Considering you don't die instantly as soon as you lose your spawn you probably had to deal with people chasing you. The default approach without the trowel is to bomb or rocket jump, but if those are on cooldown or you don't have time to spare in order to bomb jump, trowel is your next best option, especially with crowds. This is simple, just put down a couple of walls and it'll block all of the projectiles coming your way, balls, rockets, and even people, you can even barricade yourself with a simple corner structure to bomb jump safely without having to worry about stray balls or rockets hitting you, this has saved me so many times and I don't see many people doing this. Reason TWO: TROWEL CLUTCHING! This is literally so good, and is a invaluable skill if you ever want to be good at super doomspire. It's when you save yourself from falling into the void by building something on the side of a wall and landing on it rather than the void. Once you learn to do it consistently, nothing can knock you into the void (Ok maybe a charged coconut, but whatever). THREE: Unbalancing Towers, tired of taking down a tower only for it to not even tip over? I'd like to introduce you to the trowel. Simply place 2 walls on top of each other at the bottom of a tower, the tower will then tip over and fall into the void (or a bridge if you're playing on rainbow or ocean)
Looking to do some tile work around my house and need to get some tile trowels. Is there any that are better then the other? I just looked through some of my tools and found a goldblatt 1/4x1/4 with a stainless steel blade that I used to do tile in my basement a few years ago. Looking to get a 1/4x3/8 and 1/2x12 I looked on Amazon and they have MD building products brand with good reviews and also marshalltown with good reviews. The only thing is both list they have steel blades. Won’t they rust?
This post is heavily inspired by Thirtyvirus’s builder wand. Go check it out.(Besides, none of this is really my idea) So I saw TV’s video on suggestions for Hypixel Skyblock, and got really inspired on the section about the builder wand, and got thinking. Huh, that’s a really good idea. Think about it, a trowel like object would be great, it would work the same as the builder wand, only in survival. It would obviously consume the same amount of objects as there would be if you built the structure normally. And this wouldn’t take the half fun half annoying task of grinding before a build as presumably early game players wouldn’t have it. As for the crafting recipe, that still needs more thought. A stick, and 6 iron? Idk
