Note: It is possible that this post might trigger a few devout people from Hindu religion - I apologise in advance if I say anything wrong, I don't intend any disrespect. I have utmost respect for Hinduism and study the mythology a lot.
I believe Tribunal is based on (or atleast partially inspired by) the Trimurti/Trideva in Hindu mythology. You can learn more about Trimurti on Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trimurti - It is the concept of three supreme deity responsible for the cosmic function of creation, maintenance and destruction of universe/world. They are Brahma (The Creator), Vishnu (The Preserver) and Shiva (The Destroyer). It is to be noted that unlike Tribunal, Trimurti are not mortal - They are eternal supreme beings responsible for the cyclic process of birth, life and death of the universe (Note cyclic - Hinduism believes that after the end of universe, it is reborn again and cycle continues in the next kalpa). Also note that every function is considered as essential and natural (death of universe is not considered at a bad thing). Though they are cosmic and supreme, Trimurti still participate in the mortal lives of humans and help them in times of need and to stay on right path.
Physical similarities are easily visible between Shiva and Vivec. Body coloration, yogic clothing and stance of sitting and the signature weapon (Muatra and Trishul) highlight the physical similarities. Vivec also is related to destruction, death or end in a symbolic manner. He was not only the one who acknowledged and happily accepted the end of Tribunal's divinity and religion (which was a core part of Dunmer's way of life) but even helped Nerevarine bring about this change. There is also some level of similarity between the cryptic metaphorical and symbolic poetry and teachings of Vivec and the scriptures and teachings related to Shiva.
Sotha Sil can easily be identified as being similar to Brahma. He was a creator, an inventor and an innovator. He was responsible for the birth of Tribunal, their divinity and the religion - He understood the workings of Kagrenac's tools and what they could accomplish with the Heart Of Lorkan, he proposed the new way of life for Dunmer and Morrowind where Tribunal would be the mortal gods and he was the one who rejected Azura and the old ways of Daedric and Ancestor worship. He was also the creator of his own dream - Clockwork city as well as the mechanical heart.
This leave us to relate Almalexia with Vishnu. Many... keep reading on reddit ➡
Why would Gods in the Hindu religion (Brahma,Vishnu,Shiva,Indra)let the GOTB have such power over the human world ?
I would half expect a battle maniac like Indra to halt GOTB's influence straight away.....right.
Hinduism is a fusion between Vedic Aryan religion and Dravidian religion (Indus valley inhabitants). For example the demon slaying goddess Kali, is derived from the Dravidian word "Kalah", meaning black or dark. An Aryan god would be Agni, the god of Fire, obviously related to the Latin "Ignis" or russian "ogni".
Despite the "elite dominance" of the Aryan in North India (South India is dravidian dominated), the Vedic Aryan gods such as Indra, Vayu or Agni, are completely sidelined by the aforementioned Trimurti.
Brahma is the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.
The Trimurti are an enigma, they are all mentioned in the Rig Veda to various degrees of importance, but are clearly not exalted to the level they are today. I personally do not know whether there are derivations or other forms of them in the other IE religions.
The are perhaps of Dravidian origin. Evidence for this is the "Pasupati seal" found in the ruins of the IVC. The seal depicts a 3 headed man, in a yogic posture (this seated position is still holy in Hinduism). Around him, he is surrounded by animals. Pasupati is a form of Shiva, known as the Lord of animals. Another piece of evidence is the discovery of objects that look exactly like Shiva Lingams in the Indus.
So the question is, are the "big 3" identifiable in Indo European religions, or are they actually unique to India?
I have always been taught that Kalimaa is the feminine form of Shiva. Are there such ideas for Vishnu and Brahma?
many Gurus that are real are also omniscient, have they witnessed these actions?because if they have, that would show hinduism is true above nastika faiths.
#The creator: People that sort by new #The preserver: the people that sort by rising #The destroyer: the people that sort by hot #The what the fuck, it’s already destroyed -er: people that sort by top all time.
Trimurti is Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. It could play similar to Merlin because we know a 3 stance changer is possible now. No concept made up, but I was just traveling India for the past month visiting all of the temples and deities and just thought of it. ALSO they def fucked up the potential with Ravana’s kit. That guy had illusion ability, master of all weaponry, etc... the closest thing they had to having relevance to his lore was the invincibility and even their it was vaguely presented... just a 2 cents.
