More and more I see people who call themselves anarchists say that we need to have a socialist state before we could ever achieve Anarchism but that is something that is antithetical to everything anarchists have said and done throughout history and shows little understanding of what Anarchism is.
Anarchism is the abolition of hierarchy and it is very, very anti-anarchist to believe that a hierarchy has to be imposed and protected.
If you think that Socialism can be implemented through participation in liberal electoralism then you're a DemSoc. If you think that we need a revolution before before a socialist state can be erected to then transition to Anarchism then you're either some kind if revolutionary Market Socialist or a Marxist depending on what you think of communism as well. You are not an anarchist if you want any of those things.
As a MA resident, if I were to leave the state and return the same day, do I need a covid test upon returning? I’m looking to pick up a pet from a family member in a parking lot. The closest thing is handing the leash from one person to another.
This seems like transitory travel, as I am not staying over or meeting indoors etc. I will do whatever I need to upon returning if that is what’s needed. Just trying to plan ahead.
Also, just to vent - have spent the last 2 hours on the 211 hotline to ask this question.
Hey guys, do you any of you know how can I get transitory lands theme for ps4? I tried finding it in ps store and bandai namco epic free content store but couldn't find it. Can you please help.
Hello fellow Dark Souls players.
Just yesterday I learned about the Transitory Lands theme. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available anymore, at least I can't find it anywhere to get.
Does anyone know of a way to download it somehow or is it simply to late?
I have a 2015 27 inch base iMac that I’ve used to edit with FCPX, animate in Motion 5, do Graphic design in Affinity and occasionally use the Adobe Suite. It’s now clear that my iMac is not up for these tasks, specially when using 4K Footage and newer codecs. I was hoping to upgrade it when the new Apple Silicon iMac came but everything points for at least 2 more years of waiting. So I’m thinking of buying an M1 Mac for now until the new iMac arrives. Which Mac should I buy? I’m unsure about the MacBooks since I’ve heard they’re getting redesigns soon so I was wondering, what’s your experience with the Mac Mini and what’s your setup?
Thanks for reading (:
Time is everything in life, it sets the beginning and end of our existence. From the moment you are conceived the clock starts ticking and it doesn’t stop until your last breath.
Time conditions in every sense our presence in this world, our actions, our omissions, our hopes and dreams which turn into memories once materialized. Everything is contained within a period that is our lifespan.
Understanding the importance of time means acknowledging our limited existence which is one of the most shocking revelations one could have but at the same time it is the most powerful driver for a human being to give purpose to life.
Time is the greatest fragility of any form of existence but it is indomitable to some extent. With time ruling our life, it is critical to know how to manage it, how to use it wisely, how to take the most out of it, how to spend it and where to spend.
The doers of the world, the great achievers of history whose presence left a mark, are the masters of “timing”, which is the quintessential expression of managing time. Timing is a temporal frame – a couple of dots in the chronological tale that we call existence – in which a premeditated decision to execute a given action is done in order to achieve the best possible results. An old saying “to be right in the wrong time” provides perspective to the relevance of timing, to know when to enter and to exit, to know where to draw the dots in your personal timeline.
As you grow older the clock seems to tick faster, the “faster” it ticks the closer you are to the final countdown. There is no need to be scare, there is no need to panic, quite the opposite, with the realization of our inherited “weakness” as an existing being there is an opportunity to live fully, to truly appreciate life, to stop taking things for granted. Liberate yourself and enjoy your existence by pursuing your goals, pursuit the things that put a smile on your face no matter how hard and difficult they may be to get.
“When should I have said goodbye” is merely an expression that exemplifies timing, in the sense of knowing when to let go, when to exit and move on to the next chapter of your life.
Nobody noticed Joe coming up along the street. They saw him, but they didn’t notice. Nobody turned their heads as he passed them by. Nobody clutched their purses as he squeezed through the crowd at the edge of the crosswalk. Nobody shouted to him as he walked out into the open traffic, and none of the cars slowed down when he walked out right in front of them.
One of them rammed straight into him just as the lights were turning yellow. It screeched to a stop as the impact hurled him across the concrete, too quickly for the drivers behind it to react. A whole line of them crashed into each other, sliding out at angles and turning over on their sides. Horns blasted into the open air with each new collision, and they continued even as the rest of the road finally came to a stop. Some of the drivers came scrambling out from the wreckage. Some of them didn’t.
There was one that managed to kick his door out; a businessman in his forties with a badge of office from the financial district and a cut on his arm. Whatever composure he might have once wielded was all but completely absent as he stumbled towards the source of the pile-up, his eyes full of frustration and fear. He reared up like a bear on its hind legs as his gaze fell on Joe, and then he froze. His eyes strained. There, in the center of the road, was nothing at all. A few empty cans, a few cracks in the pavement, and nothing else.
His jaw went slack. His hands lowered a bit, and his knees bent. A gasp caught in his throat, as if he were about to say something, and then his eyes went dull. All the gathering onlookers were glaring at him like he was insane; to them, it looked like he was about to swing an imaginary sledgehammer down on an empty space in the road. Not one for humiliation, he turned on his heels towards the crowd and bellowed for one of them to call nine-one-one, and then he made himself scarce.
Joe couldn’t tell if he’d been injured in the crash. There was pain in every part of his body, but it was distant. Hollow. Even as he tried moving his arms and his legs, he couldn’t tell if any of his bones were broken. He felt nothing, and when he tried glancing at his hands, he saw nothing. His eyes couldn’t comprehend the shape of his fingers. They couldn’t quantify the lines in his palms. All he saw was light and contrast. Meaningless, unexplained details in the portrait of the world around him.
“I didn’t see the cars,” said Joe, sitting up and turning to face the crowd. His voice was lik... keep reading on reddit ➡
Ok, this is kinda odd to explain. But I find it kinda cool when a line in a song directly refers to where they are in the structure of a song. Examples I've found: Ravn's "2절 오너라 (Here comes the 2nd verse") in ONEUS' Lit and "Take it to the bridge" in AB6IX's The Answer. It's a nice, fun, little self-aware line to include in a song. I just think that it's interesting to see lines like this.
Btw, Ravn's cat ear sign with two fingers that he does when he says this phrase is adorable.
Curious of how they interact.
Does anyone know if I can get the transitory lands theme for ps4 in Australia? I can’t find it anywhere on the aus site.
