Thoughts on the Tomato Timer add-on?

Hi all, I recently downloaded the tomato timer. As far as efficiency I really like it. I now average 430-450 cards per hour, so I'm saving myself a lot of time each day. But I'm wondering if anyone else uses it and feels that they focus too much on efficiency? I feel like I might be trying to work more quickly, and might not take a few extra seconds to think something out. Anyone else? I know the goal of the tomato timer isn't to move faster-- but with the timer and the beeps at 15 seconds certainly add that element for me. What do you all think of the tomato timer?

Tomato Town definitely needs some changes and make the storm timer shorter for the 3rd storm.

Tomato Town ONLY has 1 CHEST, ONE!.

Dont even count the tunnel or the red house since they are outside of the actual location.

But if you want to count them, thats only 4 chest!!! No doubt not many people land there. The club in the factories north of flush factory has 6 chests. What a joke.

Now, after playing Blitz and going back to Solo is just very slow. Beginning is fun, end game is fun, but mid game is very dry.

I feel that the 3rd and 4th storm circles need to have a shorter timer. This storms close slower so you can still outrun the storm. That way mid game doesnt feel so dry.

First Timer, pork in tomato sauce with onions and garlic. Feels like it is missing something.

I'm a college student and haven't ever slow cooked before. I cooked a pork roast in tomato paste with onions and garlic. It was good, but it's missing some je ne sais quois and I don't have the cooking experience to know what else to add. Suffice it to say, though, I'll be using my slow cooker more often, it was an absolute cinch, less then 15 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs pork roast
  • 1 can tomato paste and can of water
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

Cooked about 11 hours (about 10 last night to 9 this morning) on low. It's very basic but it is quite good. I originally planned to add mushrooms and scallions, but I ran out of room in my cooker. It's one of those little ones.

If you were to make this, what would you have added or done differently?

I want to create a sort of tomato timer in Python language

Hi, I'm currently working at a company as a QA and aiming at becoming a Developer in the near future. I'd like to start out and maybe aim for a career revolving around the Python programming language. My current company's project is based on Django/Python/PHP and front-end (It's a website). How can I accomplish the task on the title and is it the best way for the end goal of working with Models, Views and URL's? Is it really mandatory that I go through strings, math calculations and all basics from the Python language?

I've learned Pascal and some VB6 in high school back in the day...

Thank you!

Beafsteak tomato plants(first timer)[x-post from /r/Heirloom]

This was my first time planting tomato seeds and I am having some trouble and just wanted to see if any kind folks around here could help me out. Some background info: I definitely over-watered them early on but I have since remedied that and got them under control. They are beafsteak tomato plants and I planted them as seeds on march 21st. They are in a sun-room with a ton of natural light by a window. They also have a 4000k and 6500k 100w equivalent led bulb pointing on them. They never looked extremely healthy to me due to the over-watering. They always curl down and then in. They still look droopy and one leaf has turned a lighter color maybe light green or yellow. I'm color blind so I don't know sorry. I also lost a couple branches early on. They got what I would describe as "not hard" and broke off accidentally when i touched them. So to get to my actual question; Can you look at these pictures and see if you can tell me what might be wrong with my poor droopy tomato plants.

First timer setting up tomato on rT-N66U: Disastrous Nightmare, but I prevailed

tl;dr anticlimactic story about a n00b learning Tomato

So, I have two Asus RT-N66U routers. Plugging directly to the router got me 80MBPS. With the stock Asus firmware, factory default settings, I'd get 15MBPS wired. So, I decided to try Tomato. My brother bought the same router with Tomato preinstalled, my buddy had just installed it on his router with no problems, so I figured I'd try it.

Fast forward 4 hours after doing the Firmware Restoration Tool 4 times, and reverting back to the stock firmware wasn't working either. Brick.

<Alright dude, get to the fucking point>

Tried it once more following this vid: https://youtu.be/YVegp6GRhOM

This time, I set a timer for 90 minutes and waited. That was the key. Holy shit, the instructions werent kidding when it said, "Leave the fucker alone for awhile."

So, stock firmware back on. Downloaded AdvancedTomato. Flashed both routers with it. Ran into some DHCP renewing problems, buddy had me reset NVRAM. Boom, back on the internet. <cracks open beer>

2nd router will be wired into first router - next thing for me to tackle is making the second router just extend the wireless area of the 1st router/forward along the wired connections from the 1st. This article seems to be what I'm looking for: http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php?threads/making-2nd-tomato-router-a-dumb-access-point.37403/

Will try tomorrow, but yeah - that was my first experience with Tomato.

"Hmm, it worked for me." - Everyone in the world except you

First timer tomato questions

I'm growing tomatoes for the first time this year. I've only got a small balcony but it it's north-west facing and receives a lot of sun during the afternoon. I planted two different varieties, indeterminate heirlooms x 6 split between two troughs, and about 10 determinate dwarf plants in their own pots. Unfortunately the seed packages don't give much more guidance than when to plant and how to water.

My questions are:

  1. With the dwarf determinates I've read they'll grow to a certain size of about 3" - 4" tall, fruit, and then die. Most of mine are that size already, some are budding at the top, some aren't. Will they grow any larger if I remove the cotyledons and first leaves, repot, and bury the stems up to the top leaves? Or is that a waste of time (and possibly fruit on the first leaves?)

  2. One of my indeterminate heirlooms is only 10" high but already budding at the top of the plant. Surely this can't be right? I heard indeterminates should grow much taller first. Should I snip off the buds?
