Thank you. Finally a more chill pace league, where if we don't want to rush we can.
This is really for everyone, not just 1st timers... but it seems like were entering some dark times lol... Friday there was a mass "restock" of 5800x and GPUs (not the new cards but 5700xt to be specific)... I thought this was a sign of some sort of stabilization. I wake up today, getting ready to start teaching, and just casually check Micro Center to see if they have any worthwhile Cyber Monday deals (I live in Chicago, so technically I'm blessed with two locations)... ALLLL of those 5800x that were available Friday and Saturday, gone... all of those 5700xt and just about every other worthwhile GPU, gone... now maybe its just cause it was Black Friday but I have NEVER seen MC not have any worthwhile GPU in stock. I look and all I see is one Liquid Devil each at both of my local stores...
Maybe I'm being skeptical but it seems like were about to go into a Gaming PC Dark Age lol... I'm already seeing 5700xt getting resold for $700+ because they're now just "gone." 1st timers, whatever you do... and typically I don't care how people spend their money... but do not overpay for any of these CPU's/GPU's ... just wait for the restock or 2021 like most people. That "Dream Build" is not worth burning an extra $300-$500 for one part.
Edit: Wow! When I woke up and posted this I did not expect any of this. Itβs sad that this is the current state of the PC world; CPUs and GPUs both now seem to being bought up at an alarming rate. Iβve read a lot of replies throughout the day and saw a lot of great takes from the βvetsβ and also newer folks in the community. This isnβt the first time that this happened and there are definitely a few different factors in why itβs happening right now. The one true positive we can say is that once these parts become readily available, weβll all be owners of PC tech that has taken a HUGE leap in performance. Hold out and weather the storm everybody, donβt give in to the scalpers!
Upon request, i cleaned up my sheet and made templates for raid cooldowns on all Castle Nathria Mythic bosses. Some fights will naturally change timers a bit depending on strat/dps, but it should save you some time anyway :)
I also linked an example of the cooldown setup we had when we killed the bosses in Pieces.
Make your own copy so you can edit in it, and use the string it generates to get Exorsus Raid Tools notes in game like this!
Google Docs link here We might have broken the sheet due to traffic, try again later? Also, please close it down after you make a copy so others can get in. lol
Any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask. and good luck on progress :)
*Edit Was linked on wowhead, cool! Made some more backup links to try and keep up with traffic.
TLDR:
The worst thing you can do is disregard our TIME.
Star Citizen is not in a state for extended timers
Ships/Servers would have to have persistence and be more bug free
TESTING and playing is extremely hindered with extended cost and wait time
The wait time is about 1/2 -1/3 of a short play session.
The people that defend this don't play/test the game or own and use bigger ships
30k's are super common especially with 3.12PTU and 3.12PU more 30k's than I've ever had.
We cannot play or test properly with extended timers and so many ship costing bugs and crashes.
UPVOTE AND COMMENT on SPECTRUM! - Top frustration is CLAIM TIMERS
UPVOTE and CONFIRM these issue council posts. It's not a bug, but we should push for visibility.
Below are some points and hopefully it's received as a constructive rant.
Sorry in advanced for typos and issue I've already spent far too much time on this but it had to be done. This is a second more detailed post from me about this issue.

Star Citizen is not in a State for Extended Claim timers.
Claim timers should be a length that prevents spam and grief,
but should also have a slight weight to them in the alpha to prep people.
The current timers are far too long and are about 1/2 - 1/3 of a casual play session
Claim timers should NOT be super long or COST too much for multiple reason
Temporary Claim changes can be organized and presented to the community or evocate if TESTING is the main purpose, however the ACTUAL Claim timers need to have a few prerequisites that CIG is always talking about s

I love my husband but sometimes he does things that I just don't understand. We all have our moments, but sometimes his ability to be dumb is truly unmatched. Borderline impressive.
So I'm relaxing on the couch with my phone and my husband (who is making himself spaghetti) calls out from the kitchen for me. He's agitated and says that the microwave isn't working.
I told him to just reset the gcfi outlet and explained how to do it.
"I'm not dumb! I tried that."
Famous last words.
So I come over to investigate. I notice the switch isn't tripped, the breakers are fine, but the microwave is indeed not working and feels really hot on the top. I ask him if he used it.
"Yes," he says. " You had my phone from watching that video i wanted to show you and I needed to time the pasta, so i set the microwave for 7 minutes to use it as a timer. I used a 'time cook's.'"
... You ran the microwave for seven minutes with nothing in it?
"Well no, I actually stopped it at six minutes."
...
"Don't look at me like that! Who knew you can't run a microwave empty? It was fine!"
... Bless his heart.
::Surprisingly, once the microwave cooled down a bit it actually started working again. Minor miracle.
Holy shit! I only took about 5g of white Maeng da but Iβm feeling good...much more content than normal. Has this been known to help with depression?
I got this mostly to hopefully help with concentration (college will be the death of me) and I really think it will help!
Super excited for this journey with Kratom.
Edit: I seriously appreciate all of the insight!!! I have definitely learned some things and I know I need to do more research and set boundaries for myself. Thank you so much :)
