In gen 4, Beat Up does damage based on each party Pokemon's attack stat. In gen 5, it only does damage based on the user's attack stat. This makes it so that it is affected by moves like Swords Dance and items like Choice Band. It is also typeless in Gen 4 and Dark type in Gen 5+ which is relevant for Weavile's STAB. My question is whether it works like it does in Gen 4 or in Gen 5. It seems like it works like it does in Gen 4 since it's a typeless move and not a Dark type move. If it does work like it does in Gen 4, I'm wondering if I should replace it with Feint Attack or something.
