Choose my last 3 team members. The mons in the white box have good natures, the better ability of the two, or both (except chansy, she's impish). I'm thinking scyther (technician), crogunk (dry skin, naughty) and Hippo (lax) reddit.com/gallery/sywyzd

With the way COVID guidelines are, you could be refused the ability to accompany a family member of yours to a diagnostic test, meanwhile a COVID+ technician could PERFORM that test. This is so frustrating!

Really soak in that title. I could bring my wife into the ER and be told to fuck off until she's discharged due to "COVID safety regulations".... and I could be reminded of those regulations by a visibly COVID+ security guard, registrar, or nurse. My wife could be cared for by a COVID+ technician, nurse, or doctor.

Think about our high-risk groups! A retirement home nurse with symptomatic COVID could show up to care for the dementia ward patients and, by extension, infect the entire ward of patients, and there isn't a single goddamn thing anyone can do about it. What if your mom, grandmother, aunt, etc, is in one of those homes and gets infected and dies? You can't sue the worker; she was just fulfilling her job duties. You can't sue the employer; they followed CDC guidelines perfectly. Are you gonna sue the CDC? Who has the money or the resources to tackle the public health agency of the entire country in court?

At least before the restrictions were loosened, we could say that COVID staying bad was the fault of anti-maskers and bad business owners. But, now, the CDC has a role to play in it. Dr. Fauci himself made the announcements! Every COVID-related death from this point forward can at least partially thank the CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci for why they died. Unconscionable! Fuck Anthony Fauci and every person within the CDC who voted for these loosened regulations for actively turning them from protections to formalities.

This is so stupid. The CDC has really shown where their loyalty ultimately lies. This is going to infect so many more people! We're already at full capacity in my own ER. But, we shouldn't be surprised... when push comes to shove, the money always wins. Now back to work, you sick peasants! No time for coughing and blowing your nose, gotta keep that economy rolling!

Inteleon's Hidden Ability gets changed to Technician

(reposted because I accidentally tagged it as Smogon News instead of Theorymon Thursday whoops lmao)

Basically what the title says. Inteleon is by far the worst of the three Galar starter final evolutions competitively, and I feel that a lot of this comes from the fact that its Hidden Ability is much worse than Cinderace's and Rillaboom's. Aside from Sniper, Technician makes the most sense for Inteleon because it's a secret agent with a lot of cool gadgets and a very technical mindset (haha)

Would this be a good buff for Inteleon? And if not, what buff would you propose?

Just passed my General this morning, only 42 days after earning my Technician license, so I’m pretty new. I’m beginning study towards the Extra ticket and am learning of the extended bands. But I’m not seeing any transceivers on the market (yet) that list these bands among their ability.

Is the ability (Extra privilege) exclusively some sort of modification to HF or VHF/UHF transceivers? I have the Yaesu FT-891 and the FTM-300DR Or will I need to build something from scratch?

If an ability was added that worked like technician but instead of a attack boost, it gave a priority boost, how viable would it be and who would use it best?

Just to clarify, it adds +1 priority to any move with a base damage of 60 or less. This means moves like quick attack becomes +2 priority and moves like aerial ace becomes +1 priority.

I can imagine something using bullet punch to get around a prankster grimsnarl as a niche.

What exactly does the Route Technician ability do?

Been trying to play around with different WR abilities and am curious about route technician. Based on the description I believe it says it gives the receiver the ability to make quicker cuts but I tried it and I never really saw a difference.

Does it work for specific routes? How do I know the ability is activated/in action?
