after vallhalla came out i wanted to go back to pre rpg times and saw that i completely ignored unity and syndicate and after seeing everyone praising unity i started playing it but...it just didnt click for me,
the story and characters felt dull to me it felt like they really wanted to replicate the ezio era, and i just couldnt care about the protagonist either, and after playing a side mission where i had to slowly walk with a bourgeoisie old woman and protect her from attacks for what felt like 15 minutes i just stopped and started playing Syndicate. And it never got boring for me.
The characters and the protagonists were charming the city felt more alive and interesting the story was a bit clichΓ© but it worked, and it felt more fresh, it really didnt feel like the old ac games but in a good way, it was just different enough to spice the game up, the humorous nature of the game worked really well with the setting and frye twins were just really loveable, people say they dont like the combat but, i kinda like it too, it is fast and finishing off up to 3-4 people with flashy animations are really entertaining, the guns were a great addition, when things get messy you can just take out your gun and shoot everyone in the head or you can kill everyone stealthily but one guy and shoot the last guy with your pistol for style. You can create ziplines for air assassinations very smoothly etc.
The only thing unity is better than syndicate in my opinion is the parkour, they removed jumping in syndicate which i have no idea why and even though syndicate looks good the interiors in that game was something else, most of the house being enterable was really good too but thats all that i can think of, does anyone agree with me or if not why do you guys think unity is better? i am open for different ideas and can go back to unity again as i left it unfinished.
So, in the 3.0 patch notes we got this entry:
>* * Effect on trade from most jobs (including Criminals) has been increased.
This was a part of the economic rebalance, where most jobs got significant buffs to compensate for lower pop counts. Trade value (and trade value jobs in particular) was...not great in previous patches, so these changes are a welcome one. Or they would be, if they happened.
Unfortunately it seems that the only trade value job to have any of its variables changed is criminal, which went from -1tv to -10tv. This means that letting crime go wild on your planets is a much worse thing now, but it also happens to shoot Criminal Syndicates in the foot.
Normally, Criminal Syndicates can open branch offices to generate income based on the trade value of other empire's worlds. These branch offices and their buildings also generate crime, which in turn boosts the tv/energy conversion that the branch office gets. Crime also produces criminal jobs, which prior to this were a nuisance for the planet owner but not particularly relevant for the syndicate. That -1 tv being changed to -10, however, means that spawning criminal jobs now hugely reduces the trade value of the planet and thus the income that the branch office generates. Zero is also not the minimum for tv, which means that branch offices will start to lose the sydnicate money when they are successful in estbalishing high crime on a planet, and developing branch offices becomes an excercise in self sabotage.
TLDR: trade jobs worse than before, criminal syndicate basically nonfunctional.
Let me just begin with this: I understand that opinion is a personal preference and u cannot change someone's opinion just like that, but I am here to kind of ask all of u, do we still hate these games so much? I am a lifelong fan of the franchise, and by far my favourite games are the most hated ones. Other fans seem to address technical things and not the things in gameplay or the story. Also, especially Unity and Syndicate were a step back to the original vibe where assassinations mattered and were fun to execute. So many fans want AC to go back to more stealthy gameplay but don't give a real shot to games that did just that. Fans of the franchise let technical difficulties overshadow substancial stuff in these games, especially Unity.
Edit: I love how some people have actually resorted to the "This is the 1000th Unity/Syndicate appreciation post this week". And it is true. But listen. We do this only for the sake of other people trying things that are against their behavior atm. We preach Unity like you should do to human rights too. Preach what you love babes, keep on the Unity appreciation posts!
Ps. Just try to add your own views pleeeeeeaaaasssse!
Hey all, just like with the Core set a week ago, and well, all previous expansions, Vicious Syndicate has released a Set Preview.

Enjoy reading and discussing the article, it's a good one! Though you might want to...skip the first class. For reasons.
During last year I have used all options available in Crypto.com and been helping my friends & family to use them also. Now that we have 50k people here, thought writing small summary for people who want to invest in CRO for a long term. I am currently using all the options below. I want to make my CROs work for me :)
Visa Card:
This is clearly the best choice. Always first get the highest card you can afford before other options.
- Jade/Icy give you 10-12% interest, 3-5% cashback for purchases and Netflix/Spotify/(Amazon). Combined it will be easily over 20% interest for the stake for most users.
- Card is a safe investment. If you get 3500e card and CRO value halves, you will still have same 3500e card. You only get losses if you unstake. If CRO value doubles, you will have 3500e card and 3500e worth of CROs top of that.
Supercharger / Syndicate:
Good option to use after you got your Visa and are saving for the next level. From Supercharger you can withdraw at any time, but in the exchange funds are staked for 6 months.
How to optimally use this would be keeping either 10k or 100k in exchange and have 5k or 25k ready for the Syndicate. Outside Syndicates you can keep those extra CROs in Supercharger. This is quite troublesome option though as you need to trade enough in exchange and login in on specific days to collect the rewards.
If we use 10k as example, you have 10k staked in exchange and 5k in Supercharger waiting for Syndicate. This will give you
- 10% interest for the 10k (1k per year).
- If using last Flow Syndicate as an example and sold Flows immediately after, this would have given about 180 CRO profit. Probably 10 Syndicates per year now, so 1800 CRO profit per year for the 5k.
- Supercharger outside Syndicates would give about 400 CRO extra.
=> Total 3200 CRO profit for 10k+5k stake (21.3%).
=> If you used 100k+25k CROs, you would get 23k profit for 100k+25k stake (18.4%).
Mainnet:
Much easier option than Syndicate/Supercharger. Just delegate the CROs and collect the rewards from time to time. You can redelegate to an another validator once per 28 days though without delays. Good option for long term investment. Only thing you need to remember is that when you undelegate, it will take 28 days before the funds come to your wallet and you can withdraw them.
APR depends on amount of CROs delegated. More CROs total, smaller APR% you will get. I would presume total amount
