Will stoneware or earthenware or clay pots like a dolsot or a chinese clay pot work on a electric stove with coils? I can't find a definitive answer online.
Hi everyone!
r/pottery refused to help and it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else
I bought this stoneware jug at a flea market in south-eastern Germany. It seems to be made in the tradition of Westerwald stoneware, with the typical salt galzing and blue paint. However, these pieces usually follow traditional designs, too. This jug however, has a modern form, I would guess from the 50 to 70s. It's obviously handmade with skill, but the image of the fawn isn't completely centered. It's singed with something that looks like a Z or a Z and a F combined.
Has someone of you ever seen something similar and can tell me something about the artist or studio where this was made and when?
Thank you in advance!
