UPDATE: "What do I do about my Mother in Law?"

Update to original post, found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/JUSTNOMIL/comments/m6zf0w/what_do_i_do_about_my_mother_in_law/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

A catch-up TL;DR- my MIL started drama by wishing me a happy 2nd anniversary on the 3rd anniversary of me and DH's wedding date, which we do not celebrate due to the fact that the entire experience was incredibly traumatic for both me and DH, partially on her account. I confronted her instead of keeping quiet like I always do, and instead of apologizing, it turned into a 3-day fight.

TL;DR for update is at the bottom.

For anyone who missed them last time, here's the original texts between me and MIL:

MIL: Although you guys don't celebrate your anniversary today I still wanted to say happy 2 years <3

Me: Are you fucking kidding me

MIL: Huh?

Me: I can't believe you sent that and now you're acting like you don't even know what you did. You sent that message even though you know we don't celebrate today because it was traumatic and you caused a decent part of that trauma. Today is hard enough without your drama.

*cue insanity*

Now that the flames have died down a bit, I have time to update anyone who is interested.

Things got so, so much worse after I posted on here. My SIL1 took it upon herself to start bullying and harassing me on social media. Despite telling her that this is none of her business, she continued to post screenshots of my three-text "conversation" with MIL, as if that would do anything. I deleted all the posts/comments and then blocked her, my other SIL(2), and my MIL on all social medias.

DH really is dear. He's been making a lot of progress coming out of the fog, but I guess I didn't realize he was still so far in. DH was so upset by all of this, that he had to come home from work and was having panic attacks. I've fought with my MIL and SILs before but this time they were really going at me, and I think this was a breaking point for him. He sent some very direct messages into the group chat we were all using to make bleuswann miserable.

I have now seen a side of SIL1 that I never thought I would see. I've never gotten along with DH's sisters very well. They like to remind me that before "I came along" they were like the 3 Musketeers and always hung out together. I met DH in college, which neit

After MNS's AMA, I got into this show. I've watched it through 3 times now, here's a bunch of stuff I've picked up on (like Easter eggs and whatnot). LOTS OF SPOILERS DO NOT READ UNLESS FULLY UP TO DATE. (some tinfoil suspicions included)

Hello all, glad to have found you. I'm a bit late to the party but here we go. I've created a lengthy list of what I suspect are clues to the creepy puzzle the showrunners are giving us. I love M.Night Shyamalan's old-school, Alfred Hitchcock thing and I've been really enjoying the show's creative use of the various literary devices. I suspect that Servant is to some degree the story of The Divine Comedy. We'll get to that.

OK, do not read any more because here comes all kinds of spoilers and crazytalk. Sorry that my notes aren't beautifully formatted, I just wanted to get this out here before this second season concludes in a couple of weeks. So, only partially in order, here's some of what I've noticed (again, sorry for the mess). Thanks u/ReallyMNight !

CHARACTERS:

Dorothy Turner:

 • When we first see her, she appears to be tucking a baby into bed. In the foreground is a vintage spring rocking horse.
 • Her yet to be named mother died when she was young.
 • She works for 8 News Philadelphia. in Ep 2:00, "Peter Pan always said, the key to flying is to think happy thoughts." "But I had to go to the King of Prussia Wind Tunnel to defy gravity" as the chyron reads "Fly like Peter Pan" - the original novel in 1892 was about the lost boys, who refused to grow up and lived in a fantasy world called Neverland. The reports continues, the scene keeps switching between her on TV and Sean and Julian commiserating over how to get to Leanne who's locked in the attic.
 • Dotty's a derogatory term for a woman who is daft, spacey, kooky. Julian sometimes refers to Dorothy by that name, and she tells Uncle George in Ep Rain that her mother called her Dotty. Her father also refers to her as Dotty. Sean never does.
 • Sean tells Leanne that, "We didn't want to put Dorothy through a wave of sympathy." as why they've concealed Jericho's death. Wut?

Sean Turner:

 • "Why did you stay with her? After what she did?" "Because it was an accident" Leanne is unforgiving and Sean blames himself.
 • Ep Espresso The tagline of the cooking show Gourmet Gauntlet he's taping when Jericho dies is "Your Journey's Over." He's the head judge of Season 2.
 • spoiled, selfish, critical of others "classic male only child"
 • It's also mentioned that the only ones that know about Jericho's death apart from Sean and Dorothy are Julian, their father and "a valet guy I got shit-faced with one night on two bottles of Grenache and a Sirrah." (3 bottles)
 • When Sean leaves for California to tape the sh

My take on Red, Liz, bones and blonde Kat

I'm sure there are posts similar to what I'm going to write but I just have to get it out. This is going to be very long so in short: Red is RR and Liz's father, blonde Kat was a decoy for real Katarina and the bones are not of Liz's father.

RED IS RAYMOND REDDINGTON

The way he can be RR is if he took the identity of RR after his father excommunicated him, he kinda reinvented himself and then joined the Navy as RR. That would explain his history with Cooper, him being roommates with Admiral Richard Abraham, bloody shirt, him knowing everything the real RR would know. He did have surgery but not to change his face, but to reconstruct it because of the fire + we know from S1 finale that he has burnt back. We also know from S1 that he had some work done on his face by Dr. Maltz who made a comment/complimented on the elasticity of his skin.

S6E02:

>Red: Did you know that Cary Grant's original name was Archibald Leach? That he was born into poverty, the son of an alcoholic father and a depressed mother and then reinvented himself as the paragon of WASP virtue and charm? Good for you, Archie. I'm a great fan of reinvention.
>
>Liz: Of keeping your true self hidden.
>
>Red: Or of becoming your true self, even if you have to take on a new identity to achieve it.

Ressler identified Red with fingerprints and tattoos because his DNA profile wasn't on file, it didn't exist back then.

>S3E11 Charade with Gregory Devry:
>
>Liz: Who is this guy? He claims he's Reddington.
>
>Samar: Yes and we can't disprove it with DNA because there's nothing on file from 1990 when Reddington disappeared.

That is the same way they identified Daniel Hutton in S7E04.

S2E09:

>Red: In Mexico there are these fish that have colonized the freshwater caves along Sierra del Abra. They were lost. They found themselves living in complete darkness. But they didn't die. Instead they thrived. They adapted. They lost their pigmentation, their sight, eventually even their eyes. With survival they became hideous. I've rarely thought about what I once was. But I wonder if a ray of light were to make it into the cave, would I be able to see it? Or feel it? Would I gravitate to its warmth? And if I did, would I become less hideous?

He says 'what I once was', not who I once was, meaning what he became: a monster, hideous creature, killer, concierge of crime.

S3E22: Kirk recognized Red's voice over the phone when he expected to ta

How to Ruin a Wedding for your DIL: An Attention Seeking JNMIL's primer

Posted this earlier, but was removed. I removed the stuff about SIL sooo here it goes again:

So this is going to be really long, I apologize. Also, don't steal, unless you take my MIL, then you can have ALL my content!

So my MIL has a little habit of constantly making herself the center of attention in any situation, by any means necessary (usually it's pretty cringey). You can check the bot for her past behavior at what I now refer to as the "Christmas Performance". Of course, no respectable narc JNMIL can let their son's wedding slide by without fully inserting them right in the middle of all the action!

So in leading up to the wedding itself, I should have known that she was fully going to make the day about her. The bridal shower was all about her: MIL interrupting me opening presents to ask if anyone wants her to make them one of her "famous" chocolate martinis; her using my shower to pass out angel ornaments for her husband who had recently passed away so all my friends and family could remember her family every Christmas; my JNSIL showing my husband all of our gifts before I had a chance (literally took them out of the boxes one by one when he got there); more pictures of JNMIL in front of the bride sign, and other decorations than me; refusing to be in the same room while I opened gifts or cut the cake (you know, the one time all eyes were on me) etc. etc.

One last leading up to the wedding story: my mom invited MIL/SIL to go look at wedding dresses with us. I am her only daughter, and she was completely boxed out of her son's weddings so she felt like she was doing the right thing in asking them to come look at dresses with us. It would be a good chance for them to get to know each other and have some fun. She absolutely apologized afterwards. First of all JNSIL kept insisting that I try on these awful dresses that I looked horrendous in. I tried on one, said its not what I'm looking for and had the consultant skip the rest. So after about 20min of me trying on dresses, JNMIL and JNSIL realize this day is not going to be about them and they need to remedy that ASAP. So they start looking for MOG and Bridesmaid dresses around the shop. Then as I am trying on the dress she insisted I try on and I hate and it looks terrible on me, they duck into my fitting room and start trying on bridesmaid dresses and MOG dresses and coming out and showing everyone. My mom is in shock, the consultants are like "I'm so sorry, we've never had this happen before"

When PBDHH flopped... SRK,Juhi & Aziz Mirza took turns crying and consoling each other... Requested their media friends for positive reviews

Bashing or ripping apart a film is something that we do without giving second thoughts, especially when that film doesn't meet our expectations. We, naturally, don't realise that the hard work of more than hundred people constitute that film and that producers can become overnight paupers when their product becomes a flop. Even if that is not the case, the loss of reputation, trolling and also a little bit of financial drain can prove detrimental.

Exactly 20 years before, Shah Rukh Khan presented his first film as a producer, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, on this very day. The songs are remembered even today but as for the film, it failed to entice audiences. This resulted in a poor performance at the box office. While people know that it didn't work, not many are aware the behind the scenes madness and tragedy that unfolded.

Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani is the story of two ruthless and ambitious journalists, working for rival news channels. They could go to any lengths to achieve their end but things change when they fall for each other and get a reality check about the politics around. The film was loved for the performances, the songs of course, and the message. However, it got slammed for lack of impact and for trying to fit in too much. Also, it was a time when people were not quite aware of manipulative media and how they were used by politicians for selfish gains. A small section of moviegoers hence felt that this film was too ahead of its times. It was directed by Aziz Mirza and Juhi Chawla featured opposite SRK. The trio shared a great relationship as they worked together in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Yes Boss.

Anupama Chopra in the book 'King Of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema' shares how the film got made. She mentions Aziz Mirza wanted to make a film with SRK but he did not want to exploit their friendship by paying him less. He hence suggested the actor that he should take a percentage in profits. Shah Rukh Khan however insisted that they should turn producers. Juhi Chawla too came on board and agreed that having their own production house will give them creative freedom. Also, the market then was booming. Not just theatrical but even music, satellite and overseas markets was adding to the moolah. And with Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan also turning producer at the same time, SRK felt that the timing was just right. He, Juhi and Aziz also zeroed in on a name: Dreams. At SRK's suggestion, it was spelled as Dreamz

MY THOUGHTS ON TOM KING’S BATMAN RUN - PART 3 (ISSUES 51-85)

COLD DAYS (Issues 51-53) - "So I came home... and waited something to find me."

A smart and unique arc. After Batman brutally attacks Mr Freeze for killing three women, Bruce Wayne bribes his way onto the jury for Freeze's trial so he can convince the rest of the jury Batman was in the wrong and redeem himself for his attack on Freeze.

I liked how this arc goes into how Bruce feels after the wedding and the consequences of his pain emerging as him abusing his power as Batman. I also like how it goes into how Bruce sees his alter-ego and how the Gotham citizens view him.

Bruce explaining that when Catwoman broke his heart, he felt the same as he did when his parents died: screaming in anguish, and then this anger causing him to step over the line as Batman, was a great way for King to show what can happen when a figure like Bruce/Batman is hurt and angry. Comparing Batman to God in the final arc was a really interesting choice as well. Explaining how the public see Batman as God but Bruce explains he is still a man. Just awesome.

I liked how King used Batman heartache as a reason for him to replace the Rebirth suit with the classic one.

And Lee Weeks' art is some of the best I've probably ever seen, particularly his page layouts.

I would say it would have been more satisfactory if we found out if Freeze did commit the murders. I believe that in a later arc, we find out Bane orchestrated the killings as he knew what Batman would do and what further pain it would cause him. So we do find out eventually, but I remember after the first time I read it, I remember thinking 'So did Freeze do it?' This is an example of this half of the run being one big story. You really need the entire run to get all the answers.

THE BETTER MAN (Issues 54) - "I know you're fine. Just know I'm here if you don't want to be fine."

A sweet issue that shows the past and present of Bruce and Dick's relationship, acting as a prelude to the next arc.

There's not much to say really. It's funny, emotional, and cool. I like how they show Dick comforting Bruce about his post-wedding depression and how Bruce helped Dick with his loss in the past. King's common technique of contrasting stories worked effectively to show Bruce helping Dick in the past, and Dick helping Bruce in the present.

This kind of made me wish we got to see more of Dick and the rest of the Batfamily throughout this run. But I see why King didn't because you want to keep the story on track.

Aunt Rose's wedding tales.

So in another family story I posted recently I talked briefly about Aunt Rose. I spent the last three hours on the phone with her, getting a few more stories of her against entitled mothers or fathers from the many weddings and events she has hosted on the property. I was present for some of these, but not all of them and I took notes from Aunt Rose.

For those who don't want to go and read my other post, Aunt Rose owns a 'beauty farm' that she hosts weddings or events on. There is a massive oak tree that can have lights strung throughout it, a grove of trees that she hangs lanterns from, a barn that's as pretty as a picture and a lodge for event guests.

I'm going to tell you all of the stories she told me over the next few weeks! Rolling right into the first story! TLDR at the bottom. If you read this story on youtube, please just link back, I love to listen!

Cast: Aunt Rose (My Aunt), Sorrel (Rose's son and music master), Cedar (Rose's son and event gopher), Entitled Mom (Aunt of the groom), Mother of the Bride (Sock Stuffer.).

It was in the late 2000's when a bride passed the music list off to Aunt Rose's oldest son - Sorrel. Sorrel was very eager to see this bride was mixing up what she was walking down the isle to. It was not the traditional wedding march but a cover of Evanescence - Bring me to Life. The meaning of it was very important to the bride and groom because they had both felt 'lost in life' until they 'found each other'. The singer of the cover was the bride and groom with her husband's cover band playing.

None of the music they had picked was very traditional but Aunt Rose had taught Sorrel something before he took over the music for the venue, something very important. 'Whatever the customer pays for is what the customer will get. They have a chance to change their minds during the rehearsal and that's it.' Sorrel stuck with that and he honestly loved how different it was.

The Aunt of the groom did not like the music selection. She had gotten word from the bride that not only was this not taking place in a church, no verses read over the couple's union but now she found out that there wouldn't be any traditional music! To top it off, the bride and groom were going on a horseback ride right after the ceremony ended and they'd be gone till just after sunset. She just about lost her mind. She decided it was too indecent of a ceremony for her children to attend and insisted that the bride and groom pay for baby sitting for her childre

This is my Time: Recap of 90 Day Fiancé S08E09

Welcome to your latest 90 Day Fiancé re-crap, where THIRTY MINUTES of fresh content is taffy-pulled into almost two hours, burdening shopkeepers, street artists, and apartment buildings everywhere.

BUT FIRST! Let’s take a moment to revisit this amazing line from Julia:“Fucking cute animals? I hate you.”

With that feeling in mind, Brandon’s parents have just called to order the last meeting of the Rational People’s Club, since their membership will be revoked the minute Brandon’s mom stops crying.

“Honestly, I don’t know how they got membership,” Colt is wearing his lanyard and adjusting his glasses. “They’re really out of control. Someone should call the police. Or find a new Brazilian girlfriend. That was a joke. It’s okay for you to laugh.”

Debbie doesn’t need a lanyard, because she’s clinging to Colt’s. “Do you think there will be a sMother boss fight? What are my chances, Colt?”

“You’ve got this mom,” Colt knows things. “You never even needed backup.”

Both parents order troughs of meat, and dad asks the waitress to make sure there’s not a single goddamn vegetable on that plate or he’s burning that fucking restaurant down to the sign, and then he’s dragging that sign into the fucking desert where he’ll shoot it to death and shit on the embers. The waitress runs, nearly smacking into Brandon as he joins mom and dad on their triad date.

“Did you say triad?” Settle down, Tarik.

Brandon doesn’t bother ordering, because he’s going to have to keep his stomach light if he’s going to outrun his mother. Mom asks if he wants a disposable placemat to color, while dad signals the waitress to bring the kids’ menu. Brandon asks them to pump the brakes, because he’s got some bad news: he’s an adult. That means he needs to set up a love nest for himself and Julia, far, far away from the family’s forced-labor camp.

“No no no no no!” Mom falls to her knees and screams at the sky, prompting the waitress to hustle over with a cold glass of water to throw in her face. “Whyyyyyyyy God and Jesus and dirt worshipper heathen things? Why does my precious pampered baby boy want to waddle out of the tight fist of our love? WINDS! WIIIIIIIINDS!”

The bar patrons scatter, and the waitress scrambles for the bar’s only Thorazine shot.

“Don’t you want a big wedding? Don’t you want to save for a house?” Mom outlines her plans for him to live at home for the next ten years.

Brandon says that part of the problem is the aforementioned cute fucking animals, and the rest is hi

Dance With Me

On some nights, a ghost appears in your bedroom and asks you for a dance.

The average person doesn't believe in ghosts. Even those who do can't always tell the differences between different spirits.

I used to think nothing happy could come from a soul stuck earthbound, wiling away their nights in the bedroom of a little boy, afraid of the dark. Something must've been wrong, sad, cursed, abhorrent.

As the years passed, I learned that was only half the story.

Little Nelly reached a hand out to me the night after my parents removed my nightlight. She was nine, like I was, and whispered, "Dance with me."

There's nothing reserved about the movements of little children, nothing held back. We span, wild and free. I hadn't learned yet to be ashamed of exuberance. Nelly never would. As we twirled, her face grew clearer, unobscured by fog and fading memories. Her eyes sparkled extra bright, a remnant from the fever that took her young.

We danced in the throes of childhood. We danced to the tune of a song I'd forget with age.

William appeared the night I first thought I was in love. Middle school butterflies and awkward hand-holding. He shifted shyly in the corner, before asking hesitantly, "Dance with me?"

Adolescence steals the grace from beneath the toes of youth, and our dance is a glorious blend of clumsy footing and restrained emotion, trying too hard to mimic the moves we'd seen on screens. A car accident took away William's chance to experience his eighth grade formal, so I gave him the honor of his first slow dance.

Cindy wouldn't tell me her story when she appeared in my room the night I first marked tallies on the inside of my arms. In hindsight, it was obvious, but I was blinded by hormonal angst. She bounced lightly on the side of my bed. "Dance with me?"

The music we held each other to was the kind you might listen to at seventeen and we swayed to. My body had ached to be touched by the hands of someone who'd needed the same kindness in life that I was currently lacking. She held my hands and kissed them and told me to hang on. Be strong. Carry on.

We danced in the midst of faint hopes and sharp regrets.

When I was nineteen, I left home for the first time. That's when Lucas appeared in my bedroom. Free of high school judgment, he jumped on my dorm room bed, the springs blessed to give the young man the altitude he craved. "Dance with me," he begged.

College is a labyrinth of finding yourself. Just when you think you might have, it

23/M/🇧🇷 — Just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies, if these wings could fly...

Hello folks, welcome! (yes, Sherlock! I know, it's a very long ad)

I don't know exactly how to start this message, but let's try. I'm a normal guy, maybe with an above average curiosity. I live in a city called Belo Horizonte, it's the capital of the state of Minas Gerais. I love classic art and cities that preserve the traditional architecture of their people. Today there's a term for that, "Dark Academia". I sympathize a lot with this "movement", but I don't follow it to the letter. I'm too eclectic to fit a specific group.

I have already studied some French, Italian, German and Norwegian. Don't be surprised, it was just the basics. I have also studied the Hebrew, Russian and Korean alphabet. I didn't keep them for lack of practice, but they are easy alphabets, I want to return to studying these languages (and many others) in the future. At the moment, the languages I speak are Portuguese, English and Spanish. A secret: sometimes I think about the possibility of creating a conlang.

I still don't know which way to go academically and professionally, despite having many options in my mind. I have a hard time making decisions, depending on the subject. It's bad to feel paralyzed, but it's something that happens sometimes. And the worst part of it is that time doesn't stop, it's a little distressing.

I'm a communicative guy, I like to talk about a lot of subjects because I have several interests, from philosophy to cooking. From sports to video games. I consider myself both an introvert and an extrovert, and I know this can seem like something strange. It varies according to how comfortable I feel. When I’m in an environment where I don’t know anyone, I act very discreetly. But, next to friends, I’m a very charismatic person. If you send me a message, I’ll be talkative with you, after all, we will both be in the mutual interest of getting to know each other and consequently building a friendship, right? There’s no reason to hide in this situation. Besides, I’m also a great listener, I’d love to hear about your day, hear interesting stories that you have lived, hear your dilemmas and etc.

Believing that "tomorrow" will be a better day is not always an easy task, on the contrary. But honestly? I'm an optimistic person most of the time, I try to learn from difficult situations. Overcoming anxiety is a long journey, but I'm taking my steps in the right direction.

If there's one thing that I think is incredible, it's the possibil

The Step Momster makes threats, we call the police.

We had to call the cops on The Step Momster last night to start a paper trail, it came pretty out of the blue since she has ignored our existence except to drunkenly call various people to cry victim that we never involved her in my pregnancy and are now “keeping LO from her”.

Well, our decision to not go anywhere or see anyone yesterday apparently threw TSM over the edge because it upset SIL, who supposedly went crying to her mommy we wouldn’t let her see or hold LO. TSM got drunk and called D(ear)H to scream at him. He told her to fuck off and hung up on her.

I called her and told her that if SIL has an issue with OUR parenting decisions that SIL needed to bring it up with us and she (TSM) needed to stay out of it. TSM started screaming at me (after she had answered the phone trying to sound so sweet, saying “Oh hello dear”). She told me that I needed to stay out of it, it’s about her grandson and doesn’t involve me at all.

I lost it at that point. I told her she wasn’t his grandmother, would never be his grandmother, and that we have not wanted her in our lives for years and to leave us alone. She screamed profanities at me and I’ll be honest, I lost my cool and called her some back before hanging up. I’m not proud that I lost my cool, especially since she escalated after that. However, a small part of both DH and I are glad she escalated because she revealed she had been trying to stalk us to force her seeing LO and was gearing up to start coming by our home.

Now, she didn’t immediately reveal this. After I hung up on her she tried calling DH and he ignored it, then she started texting him what can only be described as drunken word vomit. Some of it was incoherent and there was spelling errors all over. I won’t be providing a screen shot of the actual texts as it’s pages and pages and pages, lots of identifying information I’d have to edit and we’ve started a police report with it so I’m not even sure I should share the actual images with anyone at this moment.

She started off calling DH a coward, saying she’s disgusted and appalled by my behavior, that she doesn’t deserve to be treated this way and someone should kick my ass. I told her she was being abusive to us, when I lost my cool on the phone with her, by calling us to scream and call us names, so now she’s saying I’m accusing her of child abuse and said she will force a family meeting of GMIL, FIL, herself and DH to discuss it.

DH’s only reply so far was “not discussing anything with you,

There are no more inmates left on death row in a secret prison. Only the oldest sin remains. I'll carry it with me forever.

I: LUXURIA | II: AVARITIA | III: INVIDIA | IV: ACEDIA | V: GULA | VI: IRA | VII: SUPERBIA

“I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.”

Doctor King said that when facing a scenario that offered the hardest path ahead. A path that involved tackling the harshest kinds of racial injustices in order to root out the systemic issues that the nation had… still has.

I believe we can root them out together. Through difficult conversations and actionable change.

My name is Madame Nelle Lockwood, I’m the Last Sin Eater. This is the end of my story.

I stood in that space for what felt like minutes. The tulpa’s of older sin’s now rushing at me, Nestor pinned to the ground with a still confused Buck’s foot, Edgar nowhere to be seen as the droves of inmates rushing from all sides, malice in their minds and hands ready to tear us apart.

To say I felt the enormity of the situation impress upon me would be a gross understatement.

I pulled my knife out, my mind still swelling with questions on how my Mother was here, only to fade, on the relation I had with The Warden aka The All Father… what was wrong with Buck… but, I had to push forward with the task at hand; eviscerating as many of them as possible.

It was only when a knife pierced my chest that I felt the world fall silent. My mouth grew hot, and I felt my breathing grow shallow, gasping for air that wasn’t coming. I looked up at Buck and saw the agony in his face, as if his limbs acted without his instruction.

“Buck…” Was all I managed to iterate before the world grew cold and distant.

The last thing I recall

It WAS a trap... And I fell for it

Don't post my stuff. On my mobile so apologies.

Buckle up, this is a long one.

Y'all I messed up. I'm so mad at myself about it too. I knew I should have just left it alone, but that didn't happen. So I posted yesterday about how my JNMIL texted me when we are VLC asking me personal questions and asking if I have a nursing bra. I was wisely told to not respond by you guys and guess who didn't freaking listen?! ME! I asked my friend about it and she made the suggestion to respond basically saying no thanks, but also include my rules about the upcoming birth of my first child that's due any day. So I figured, hmm, well I do need these boundaries established, and since she reached out first, maybe it will be the best time instead of just dropping a bomb on her.

WRONG

So here's what I texted. I thought I did a decent job, but I should have known crybaby Brenda set up a trap per usual. Text: "Thanks, but I prefer to buy clothing and personal items myself and I have already purchased what I need. Also, as we get closer to the birth I want to express some things that are important to us concerning the birth and labor so everyone's on the same page. We ask that nobody announce when I go into labor or the birth and its details until we do so ourselves first. This includes social media. We would like to be able to tell friends and family our news ourselves in our own special way. As recommended by my doctors, we will not be accepting visitors until I have had a chance to recover and everyone is ready for company. Also, pictures of the baby are not to be shared with others without permission and are never to be posted online. Thanks in advance for respecting our parenting choices as we prepare for the arrival of our new addition."

JNMIL's response: "I will respect your wishes to the best of my ability. I didn't ever think I would be a grandma, I really didn't think I'd have daughter in laws. So I don't think you realize how special you are to me. But it seems like you do not want us in your life, but by your rules? I feel like you resent or dislike us. I don't want to be intrusive in your life. But I want more than a minute or two. I'm sad that I'm not gonna see my grandbaby but only on your terms. I'm not mad or upset, I'm just being honest. It breaks my heart because I want you to like me. But it is what it is. Thanks for letting me be honest. God bless."

Ugh reading it back infuriates me. I see every little motive in every line now that I've had some s

What are your top 10 list of the worst couples on 90 day fiance

This is just my personal list and reasoning on why I rated the worst couples on this show. Do wanna see and hear from what others have to say and if you guys have your own list feel free to respond.

 1. Eric and Leida - Leida is absolutely the worst character on the show and the typical fairytale step-mother to Eric's children mainly towards Tasha. Immediately hates Tasha because of how dirty the apartment and her room is. Automatically shows hatred before meeting her and even when getting to meet and know her automatically wants to kick her out. What makes it worse out of those couples is Eric just allows Leida to control him over everything and will allow to think selfishly of herself and her son. Imagine having your new fiance wanting you to accept her child into the picture but she can't do the same back? What makes it worse is when getting to see Leida's ex husband and the father of her child. Danny, the ex-husband heard the story of Leida wanting to kick Tasha out. Even he could not deal with her bullshit as he tried to tell her to work and get along and know Tasha and be the good step-mother. Of course she would not listen to Danny and that explains a lot on why he left her. Also the fact he only wanted to say hi to his son and not to her. Leida is absolutely horrible and Eric is basically the type of man who let's people like her walk all over her. The fact Leida only came to America just to pursue her medical career and not give a shit about Eric shows her true colours as well. Also making threats to pack her stuff and go back to Indonesia if she doesn't get what she wants.
 2. Danielle and Mohammad - Danielle my god she is just so desperate to find a partner in her life. The fact she is going after a young Mohammad from Tunisia explains for itself. I don't know how those 2 became a couple as there was no compatibility with each other and both have their own reasons to be together. Danielle lying to Mohammad about a lot of things such as finances and not paying bills on time. Mohammad not wanting to kiss Danielle on their wedding day. So many red flags between the two. Would not be surprised if it was true Mohammad stayed with Danielle for the green card. Even after their divorce or their fighting during their separation, Danielle did not leave him and decided to harass and defame his character and do anything she can to deport him. Of course, it did not go in her favour. Mohammad trying to be the civil and better person is trying to move on and d

M/37/HL, F/37/LL, we had that chat, I guess that's that. <<< ONE YEAR LATER

Hey r/deadbedrooms, long time no see!

A year ago my life went completely sideways when my then-wife told me she wanted to separate. I was understandably upset, and I wrote a pretty lengthy post in this sub as a result.

>>> here’s a link to that post <<<

It was a pretty cathartic act in itself and writing it really helped me collect my thoughts. I was probably a lot more lost than I sounded at the time. I was really surprised by the number of people that commented on that post - and it really had a positive effect on me.

I promised myself that I’d come back, give an update once the dust had settled, and let lurkers and people stuck in bad relationships know that life on the other side can be good… and here I am exactly a year later [some stuff happened between then and now].

So, the TL:DR version of my previous post is

 • 10 year relationship total
 • Married five years in
 • Kiddo popped out 3 months after the wedding
 • DB scenario building up slowly from before conception, to a more or less complete sex lockdown for two years at the end.
 • In total, I think we managed to have sex about four times throughout the entire marriage / after conception of son.
 • She had several non-terminal but persistent health issues, so there were always a whole bucketload of readily available excuses
 • Emotional lockdown too; behind closed doors she had walled-up after the first couple of years of being a parent; she was more likely to be staring at her phone than looking at me.
 • Publicly though, when she was talking to her friends… we were ‘going to marriage counselling’ and ‘working on it’... and we were. I thought we were.
 • During the last couple years of the marriage my old man passed away [she was no support here at all] - and left a fairly generous wad of money to me and my brothers and sister.
 • Losing people changes you right? I wasn’t unaffected. I got a little more withdrawn, a little quieter. When my dad died, a little bit of me went with him, and never came back out of that hospital room when I left.
 • But... I bounced back a few months from there with a refreshed attitude, and more of a lust for a social life, a desire to find a way to build a life, rather than just let life happen to me.
 • I got busy retraining with a view to changing vocation and improving my financial standing long-term. I lifted and worked on my physi

The Third of July ----- REPOST

Well, I was gonna save reposting this story until Independence Day, but then I re-read it. NOT a post I'd want to read on the 4th of July - kind of a bummer. Kind of an anti-4th post. Put it as far from the 4th as you can. Pearl Harbor Day - there you go. This story is about what it's like to be unexpectedly thrown into the deep end of war - it's longer than I thought it would be, unanticipated, and I'm not sure it makes that much sense.

Here we go:

Preface: Carrying the Colors

I used to live in a small town in western Colorado that did the best, most wholesome Fourth of July you ever saw - hometown parade through Main Street, Huck Finn fishing contests for the kids, firehose fights between volunteer-firefighter teams at noon in the center of town, fireworks display off the mountainside as soon as it got dark. Lots of picnics and hot dogs and hamburgers. Lots of drinking.

Everyone in town participated. I did as little as I could, bailed as early as I could, got the kids off to some neighbor’s celebration as soon as I could, and headed for a bolt-hole. I couldn’t watch the parade without getting physically ill. I really had no idea why. I just wasn’t ready to see that. I felt like I shouldn’t be there, that I shouldn’t be a part of this. Not yet. Not ever, maybe.

Once upon a time, military units used to carry the colors into battle - a big flag, a perfect target. Color-bearer was a dangerous honor in all wars before WWI. Can you imagine how the Color-bearers who survived the Revolutionary and Civil Wars felt about the flag? I can’t. Yet these are the patriots who gave us our modern 4th of July celebrations.

So what the fuck was wrong with me?

I was unhappy to be such a wet blanket at what was clearly a wholesome and fun day in the tradition established by the brave and patriotic men who soldiered before me. I wondered if I should feel unpatriotic. Be clear - I did not feel unpatriotic. I still don’t. I just wondered if I should feel that way. It was disturbing.

Nowadays, we all carry the Colors to far off lands. And when we come back, we feel disconnected from people flying the same flag on Memorial Day, Veterans Day, the 4th of July. Maybe it’s the car salesmen. Maybe it’s the relentless hagiographic depictions of patriotic themes sponsored by Boeing. Maybe we just need a little space. We need to pause. We need to find our way back from all of that flag carrying.

The Jews have the right idea: A Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur - a day

The Red Wedding 2.0: Foreshadowing, Theories, and Parallels (Spoilers Extended)

While not canon, I am a firm believer that there is plenty of evidence for an upcoming Red Wedding 2.0. In this post my goal is/was to gather and research as much as I could about what could "potentially" happen. So I plan to list out several options for location, causalities, etc. and look into them (obviously some are a little more likely than others).

>"She wants her son alive, or the men who killed him dead," said the big man. "She wants to feed the crows, like they did at the Red Wedding. Freys and Boltons, aye. We'll give her those, as many as she likes. All she asks from you is Jaime Lannister." -AFFC, Brienne VIII

Looking into potential options for the details of the upcoming Red Wedding 2.0

NOTE: I think I’m good at gathering quotes/info together, not so good at presenting it in the easiest manner or in a way that ties together super great. I am not trying to argue for much (I will usually note where its something I think or link a post) just present things that could possibly allude to something upcoming in the aforementioned Red Wedding. Some of the things I am noting will contradict each other, but again just presenting options for discussion. Thanks.

#Background GRRM started hinting about the Red Wedding while talking with fans the year before ASOS was released. And while not a direct comparison he has said this about TWOW: >We have more deaths, and we have more betrayals. We have more marriages. EW Interview, TWOW Tease: 26 June 2014

Daven is to wed a Frey girl:

>The price was cheap by any measure. The crown shall grant Riverrun to Ser Emmon Frey once the Blackfish yields. Lancel and Daven must marry Frey girls, Joy is to wed one of Lord Walder's natural sons when she's old enough, and Roose Bolton becomes Warden of the North and takes home Arya Stark." -ASOS, Tyrion VI

and:

>"You were speaking of the Freys you wanted dead. Ryman, Edwyn, Emmon . . ."

>"And Walder Rivers," Daven said, "that whoreson. Hates that he's a bastard, and hates everyone who's not. Ser Perwyn seems a decent fellow, though, might as well spare him. The women too. I'm to marry one, I hear. Your father might have seen fit to consult with me about this marriage, by the bye.

The most loveless awkward rich people wedding I’ve been to

So the groom was my friend who, at the time, was 30 and revealed he was dating his... 20 year old intern... Part one of the tacky...

The girls family were all land owning old aristocratic people and she is easily the coldest most miserable person I’ve ever met. She’s permanently disinterested and unenthusiastic about everything. But after a few months thinks it probably makes sense that she moves in with her Boss Boyfriend. She tells her incredibly pushy stuck up mother that she’s planning the move, and the mum is all “oh why bother with that silly little phase! Cut to the chase and just get married asap!” My idiot friend thinks it’s a great idea because he’s basically fallen in love with their whole old money lifestyle, summer houses in the south of France, iconic family members, and generally what the whole family represent.

So a bunch of us grudgingly do the few hour drive across England to go to their rich friends land where the wedding is taking place. We arrive in nice dresses and heels, our guy friends in suits, hair done, lipstick and suddenly realise that in comparison look like we’ve rolled in off the set of The Only Way Is Essex. These people were so rich and posh they no longer felt the need to wear... shoes... to a wedding... in a field...

Hemp shirts and patchwork dresses and loose fabric and daises in hair and no shoes in sight. Everyone’s called Kitty or Titty or Pandy or Toffee. Voices so posh the regular ear can not decipher it, and can only be heard by dogs and other nobility.

There’s a massive tent in the middle of the field, undecorated, looking like it’s on loan from Fyre Festival. Long unadorned tables like we’re queuing to find out which extra curricular activities to sign up to on Freshers week. Anyway, we go to sit down and get this thing over with, only to find out that ... everyone... has been separated and is being sat with complete and utter strangers.

Like, couples not even allowed to sit at the same table as each other. Our friends 8 month pregnant wife marched off to a table on her own on the other side of whatever medical emergency tent they’ve ushered us in to. Her British Indian husband made to sit with an 18 year old who really wants to talk about her gap year in Kolkata.

Meanwhile I get the pleasure of being sat with a 60 year old who communicates in Hedge Fund similes. And a 25 year old with his arm in a cast, which he broke preparing for Tough Mudder. He is wearing Oakley sunglasses attached to a glasses

Let's Talk About eps1.3_da3m0ns.mp4 (Or: "I Broke Down The Episode So You Don't Have To".)

Hi, it's me again.

You may remember me from that time I made an unnecessarily long post about how much I love 410 Gone, or when I ripped a few season 4 deleted scenes from my Blu-Ray set and uploaded them to Reddit.

I was messing around on the internet one day, as one does, and found myself looking at Mr. Robot episode ratings on IMDb. Now, I don't take these reviews seriously at all. I personally don't understand why people are so adamant about it - does it really matter if 407 doesn't have a 10/10 rating? - but to each their own. Anyways, I noticed that the lowest rated episode in the series happens to be one of my favourite episodes: 104 Daemons.

\"That's because most critics have shitty taste.\"

It's rated even lower than episodes from season 2, which is pretty unpopular among the fandom (Though I personally love it and continuously vouch for it; season 2 is great and I will gladly die on this hill). I'm assuming it has the lowest rating because at the time the show was broadcasting live and no one knew the full story yet, this episode was way out there. It was very abstract and indirect, and a lot of it didn't make much sense. It was confusing to many people and they couldn't decipher what any of the symbolism meant - which is understandable because there is just so much to unpack in this episode and we weren't able to fully unpack it until the series ended and we finally knew that this episode was trying to tell us.

This episode is probably one of the most important in the series - at least to me it is. It's proof that Sam Esmail had the majority of the story planned out from the very beginning. This episode is only the fourth one in the entire series, yet it foreshadowed events that don't unfold until way later in season 4, when the story is coming to an end. This is definitely an episode that you appreciate more on a rewatch because you finally have all the pieces you need to assemble the puzzle. You're able to look back on this episode and fully understand what it's trying to tell you, and then your brain explodes because you realize how much time and effort was put into constructing this wonderfully complicated story.

I'm gonna tr

Tales from the Travelstop : Ramtide's Hobo Tales

Ramtidings, my dear friends! It seems that my most recent TAAAAALE FROM THE TABLETOP has resulted in some interest regarding certain details about the life I used to lead - most notably, my time as a homeless vagabond. People have asked me, dear readers, if there is more to your dutiful lord and master, the eternal GM, than meets the eye. Most certainly there is, and so, I submit to you humbly, as a ReddX exclusive, this compendium, which I have dubbed TAAAAAAALES FROM THE TRAVELSTOP. Let's get into it!
THE BALLAD OF JOE
I had just seen a good friend of mine down in the Cali/Nevada/Arizona tri-state area and had taken my leave, proceeding down the highway to god knows what in god knows where. I caught a ride out to Las Vegas.

I had been to Las Vegas before, and was not very fond of it. Las Vegas is a seedy, sordid adult playground in which I had no business nor desire to remain. I took a look at the map and examined my course and my bearings - the I-15 continued out the Northeast edge of the town due east, and a travel plaza, always a great spot for hitch hiking, was located about 6 miles outside of the city limit. It seemed like a perfect place to go. I spent the day catching busses and riding through the city to the far edge of town. I spent the night sleeping beneath the road by Nellis AFB before I woke up the next morning, and walked out to the truck stop.

When I reached the truck stop, I tried hitch hiking for a bit at the ramp. With no luck and the sun going down, I decided then to retire for the evening. I bought a couple of beers, went under the road once again, and fell asleep. In the morning, I rose bright and early, and walked to the truck stop. I used the restroom, cleaned up, got some breakfast, and started back towards my camp. As I exited, I saw Joe.

Joe was a drifter, much like myself. and he had just arrived at the travel plaza from which I was trying to leave. He was sitting atop his backpack, looking forlorn and dejected, and me, in my usual, curious self, decided to extend an invitation to him.
Ramtide: Hey man, which way are you going?
Joe: I don't know yet.
Ramtide: No worries man. Hey, wanna get a beer and hang out for a bit?
Joe: Uh, sure.

I went inside, grabbed us a couple tallboys, and then we wandered off to where I made camp. As we arrived at the whole in the ground where I had camped, Joe was starting to cry. I asked him what was wrong. He begged me not to kill him. Ooooookaaaaaayyyyyyy...

Ramtide: Joe. It'

Qwella: The Palace Complex: Qemassen

Shut up, shut up, shut up! Qwella marched into the smaller of her home’s two reception rooms, ahead of her sister Himalit.

Couldn’t Hima be quiet for once?

“—and then, when he'd cleaned himself off and sent the slaves to mop up the oil, he had the audacity to ask me for a recommendation. After all that, after he spilled his stinking fucking fish guts all over my deck. It's incompetent is what it is. It's madness.”

“It’s terrible,” Qwella agreed, even though she wasn’t sure she did. “But I—”

“—and I could have lifted that amphora, if I'd wanted. I don't understand these Anata. They're scrawny, and useless, and they come here, to my fleet, bleating for favours when they've insulted me to my face, ignoring my station, making eyes at me with their fucking rat-faces and—”

Qwella hauled off the wool palla wrapped over shoulder and tossed it as hard as she could at the nearest table, where a perfume bottle toppled to the floor. A scattering of other objects followed—all the fine little presents her husband Sabé had procured for her: that odd, hard, Inda pillow; the votive of Adonen from Qelat; an ivory comb from Ajwata; a hundred tiny trinkets from Lorar and beyond. Qwella's Anata slave-girl, Iqara, hurried in her mistress’s wake, collecting every one of them.

Qwella wished they wouldn't do that. Sometimes she wanted to be angry and wallow in it. Sometimes she wanted to make a mess. Slaves should clean at your convenience, shouldn't they?

She held her tongue all the same. She couldn't command Iqara to leave. Qwella had never been able to command anyone. Instead, she slouched into her favourite chair, and dug her fingers into the rim of the cedar table beside her.

Hima still yammered on, but Qwella wasn’t listening. What did Qwella do with herself now? Life had changed drastically in a short time. Did she miss Sabé? She'd cried enough for him. To have cried so much must mean she’d loved him.

“Fetch some wine. The best.” Hima's voice was a dagger piercing Qw

Throwback Write-Up #24: Tricky - Maxinquaye

Artist: Tricky

Album: Maxinquaye

Release Date: 20 February 1995

Listen: Spotify

Apple Music

YouTube

#Introduction

Maxinquaye is the debut album by British rapper and producer Tricky. Having garnered a lot of unexpected positive attention from critics and audiences alike upon its release in early 1995, it later became the cornerstone of the genre now known as trip-hop.

I decided to do this write-up for several reasons, one of them being that I think this genre deserves more attention on this sub and among hip-hop heads in general. Tricky’s sampling skills are up there with the best beatmakers of the 90s and his combination of muttered, almost spoken word rapping and use of female vocals to depict the internal anguish and the reality around him is unquestionably unique. If you’re unfamiliar with the genre, there’s no better place to start, especially if you’re a fan of creative sampling and music that envelops you and takes you to another place.

Furthermore, it is a fascinating story on a personal level. It’s the story of a regular guy continuously falling upwards into rather unwanted success, coming into his own as an artist and coming to terms with fame and attention. It is also an important piece in the puzzle of how trip-hop as a genre came to be. Tricky wasn’t the first artist to combine the signature elements of it, but his distinctive approach certainly stood out among his contemporaries and made him into one of the figures synonymous with trip-hop as a whole. I go pretty in-depth on who Tricky is and how the pieces of the puzzle fell together since the accounts of his life that can be found online are rather disjointed. If you’d rather only read about the musical contents, feel free to skip to the section titled “Brand New You’re Retro”.

One last thing I’d like to note before we begin: Tricky is a pretty enigmatic figure, and a lot of the sources that can be found on the internet contradict each other. That’s why I decided to go to the ultimate one: his 2019 autobiography “Hell Is Round The Corner”. There is a chance, as there always is with this sort of thing, that the narrator is unreliable, but if there’s no way to know th

'Bloody Baelon' Rivers, Hero of the Tallgrass, Bastard of House Targaryen

Discord Name: D042#9426

Name and House: Baelon Rivers

Age: 23

Cultural Group: Valyrian/Andal

Appearance: Possessed of the strong looks of his father, Baelon is the picture of his sire in his youth. Handsome, strong, and tall, Baelon is a Knight to his core. His hair is the more rare gold as his father’s and again his eyes are a shade of violet all too similar to Baelor’s. Though unlike his father, there is something haunted about his gaze. He wears a number of scars proudly, earned in the sands of Dorne and a lifetime of tourney and melee alike, the most noticeable being the ones around the edges of his face and creeping over his jaw onto his cheek.

Gift(s): Duelist

Skill(s): Swords, Shields

Talents: Fishing (x2), History

Starting Title(s): Bastard of House Targaryen, Ser, Bloody Baelon, Hero of the Tallgrass, The Soldier’s Prince

Starting Location: Harrenhal

Alternate Characters:

Biography: Baelon, like his namesake, was born in spring. Unlike his namesake, he was born no prince. His father did not raise him up with joy, nor did he even attend his birth. Baelor Targaryen was leagues away, no doubt with some other woman, whilst Bethany Vance, of the Vances of Atranta, labored in her bed for days. His birthing was not an easy one, but he was a strong child from the start.

He cried for days some said, that rivers of tears strewn down his face, a sign of what his father had cursed him to be, but when his fits subsided, he quickly became a sweet child. Never quite easy, but never a nightmare, he was cherished by Bethany, who though soon Baelor would send for her and take her to wife, and make her son a Rivers no more. She was a third right, and in Baelon’s third year, his father sent for Bethany, and the boy.

His plan to get the queen with child in order to secure a place as Prince Consort had failed, and though the queen had born him a child, Baelon’s half-brother Daemon, she had not taken him to husband. Perhaps seeking to exert some measure of power, or perhaps debating a change of heart he had called for them, and looked upon his son for the first time. He acknowledged him, but little more.

This reunion was brief, as Bethany again fell pregnant and gave Baelor another son, Haegon, yet he still did not wed her. Even with pressure from Baelon’s grandsire, his mother, and reportedly that of the rest of the House

History:

Aemond Targaryen was born into the world in the midst of the year 163, a strong, squalling child, with hair of gold and eyes of blue. Being but the second son, Aegon the Godswrath did not deign to join his wife as she gave birth to the third of their children, and a child whom he would view as little more than a spare. But Lysara Ostaar had expected as much, two years prior Aegon had done the same for the birth of their daughter, Gael, and would do so again when five years later she gave him a final child in their third son, Gaemon. The Godswrath had only cared about one of their children, his precious heir, Daeron.

Even with his mother’s adoration, and the guidance of a dozen different Westerosi exiles, and his uncle Jaehaerys, Aemond never found him satisfied with anything other than the approval of his father, or his elder brother. Though the former still did not deign to give the boy the gift of his regard, perhaps out of indifference, or perhaps for the name of his deceased brother which he had given the boy. The latter though, would come to welco

The False Blade: Chapter One

King Joel Baror was merry with his belly filled with dark wine and still-bloody meat, he was never happier than after eating his favourite foods and drinking the best wines from his vast collection. The monarch of twenty-two years was sauntering his way back to his extravagant bedroom and as he strolled along the hallways of his magnificent grand palace he thought of his shapely wife Leria. Joel hoped that she was still awake as he was feeling rather playful on such a fine summer night; as he entered the upper sector of the palace the guards became more frequent and more heavily armed and armoured. Each man bowed his head as the king passed them by, making him know that they accepted his absolute authority without question, just as he commanded.

The king soon found himself at a split in the hallway, to the left was his son’s room where he assumed the young man would be sleeping at such an hour, and to the right was his own room with his wife inside. He took the path to the right as he chuckled to himself; he hoped that his wife’s pleasured sounds wafting down the hallway would not wake his heir this night. Joel opened the door to his room and spotted his beautiful wife brushing her golden brown hair as she always did before she went to bed. She was wearing her night clothes, a thin linen dress that hid the curves of her body well, much to the king’s dislike.

Joel unbuttoned the silk robe that adorned his wide shoulders as he walked over to his wife and placed it on a chair next to her. He leaned and planted a tender kiss upon her soft neck.

“How are you, my king?” she purred.

“Fed, drunk, and full of love for my queen,” Joel chuckled.

“Full of love? Why, what do you want?” she asked with a grin upon her face.

“I want nothing but the love of my life to lie with me.”

“Mayhap we shall, as long as His Majesty has been good.”

“Am I not always?”

“Yes you are, my love,” she said as she pecked a kiss upon his lips “Yet I want to know why you permitted an audience with Lord Gerard of House Might regarding a marriage, or have I heard wrong?”

“Your spies should not be within our palace, our enemies are without.”

“I was ready to promise Logan to another, I was to speak with Lord Alder about uniting our Houses.”

“You should not have done that, my queen,” the king said “The men and the castle and the lands that come with House Might will serve our kingdom well once Logan takes the throne.”

“I should not have done it? What

After it had been announced that I was the highest income tax payer in the country why was my house raided? : SRK in an old interview [Part 2]

Do you love your India?

Not like Amrish Puri, but yes, I love my India (Smiles). My father was one of the youngest freedom fighters and I feel I deserve this freedom. We have achieved a lot in the last 50 years after losing so much in the 100 years before that. If only we were a little more honest we'd be one of the leading powers of the world. We're already a leading power in showbusiness despite our screw-ups. I just wish we were a little cleaner... nicer... better. There are times when I feel let down but no way will I ever leave India and settle abroad. More than being proud of being a succesful star, I'm proud of being an Indian.

What's happening with Shikhar? Are you doing the film?

I really wouldn't know. Subhashji and I have not met since Pardes was released. I was not in town for the premiere. When I got back, Subhashiji had left the country. We'll get together when he returns. We'll talk of Pardes first and then Shikhar if there's any talk to be done. I'd given him dates for two films — Trimurti and Shikhar. The dates for Shikhar were used for Pardes. Now I no longer have any commitments with Mukta Arts. There was no talk of a third film

You've been raving a lot about Yes Boss but a lot of people who've seen the film are outraged. They feel Rahul was nothing more than a glorified pimp.

If I could throw a woman down from a terrace why can't I play a pimp? Which one amongst us is not a pimp? If you're not Mother Teresa you're living for yourself and I see nothing wrong if a young, educated boy of twenty-five dreams of being rich, successful, of ruling the world. All of us want to be famous, good-looking and a millionaire. I did, I'm sure you do too and so does Rahul. He wants to be rich and he wants a girl and decides he'd rather go for the money. That, I think, was a very honest decision. A decision so many of us take without wanting to admit it. I think if anything, I've glorified honesty in the film, in all my films. I have never played a character who teases a college girl or dances with a bikini-clad woman in the first couple of reels, and then goes on to fight for the country, die a martyr, in the last few reels.

But Rahul was ready to stand back and watch the girl of his dreams being seduced by his lascivious boss. In fact, he even goes to the extent of soliciting girls for him. Doesn't that make him a pimp?

Pimping or prostitution may not be the best of professions and if you're fortunate you don't get caught. It's al

Episode 5, "Karen the Rusical" [POLL]

The queens head back to the werk room. Most of them are stunned into silence that Swish has exited the competition. Micro shakes her head in disbelief.

"I can't believe Swish went home. She was doing so well until snatch game. It's just.... Mind blowing." Pedro whispers, running her hands through her wig.

Starr rolls her eyes. "For some reason my mind remains unblown."

Talking Head, u/Frandiohh, "I feel really guilty that I sent Swish home. I can't help the fact that I'm an amazing lip syncer, and she isn't. But it still doesn't feel fair. Like... Do I really deserve to be here still?"

"So sad. So sad." Maritess frowns. "Anyways, congratulations to the faggot that won snatch game, u/ShashaStan!"

The girls clap and cheer as Shasha smiles. "Thanks guys. It really means a lot to me."

Talking Head, u/ShashaStan, "On AS3 I went home during snatch game. And winning this challenge is such a full circle moment for me. I literally couldn't be happier."

"Well, I guess we should clean the mirror." Pedro sighs, as the girls walk over to the mirror and read Swish's parting words.

The mirror's words read "Congratulations Starr, I know you’re gonna win, let’s just hope you deserve it."

Starr's eyes narrows as she reels back. "Ummmmm what the fuck is that supposed to mean?!"

Micro scoffs. "Swish is just pointing out the obvious, that production has been pushing you and it's obvious they want you to fucking win. Glad someone said it."

"What?!" Starr's voice raises. "I've literally only won one challenge, and I was safe during snatch game! How the fuck is that being pushed?!"

"Well that Ronald McDonald deserved a bottom placement. It was just... Absolute shit. Why the judges saved your ass is beyond me. Because we all know if that had been you versus Swish, she would've sent your ass packing."

"You take that back!!!" Starr yells. Pedro stands in between the two, and holds her arms out.

"Guys can we please stop fighting over a lipstick message? It's not helpful for any of us to blindlessly speculate about production. We just each need to continue doing our best."

Starr takes a deep breath, and walks away. Micro laughs, taking her wig off her head and revealing her glossy natural black curls.

Talking Head: u/Micronesiarain, "Starr's just mad that I called him out on his bullshit track record. I'm the one to beat in this competition, or my Mom's name isn't u/thehippolegend. You got that sweeties?"

Official character biographies

Hi there,

Years ago (I think it was around the run of S3), Prime Video's X-Ray feature made available back stories for each of the main characters. I had a hard time finding them after I heard of it, because they've been removed from the platform. Finally found them on Tumblr, and thought I'd share it on Reddit, if only for repository purposes!

It will also answer the question of another thread a few months ago, which asked how John and Helen had met. I've noticed a few irregularities however: for John, the biography states that he was born in 1917, but in S4E9, official Reich documentation >!during the trial scene in Berlin!< shows that he was born in 1914. And for Helen, the biography claims that her parents were murdered by the GNR soon after the war, but in S1E6, John tells Joe that his mother-in-law only died two years before and the GNR isn't mentioned.

Enjoy!

John Smith

>John Smith was born in Manhattan in 1917, the second son of a prosperous Wall Street Banker. In many ways, John's early life looked picture perfect. Any hint of superiority, however, was tempered by his father, who instilled a deep sense of civic duty and propriety in his sons. The boys were four years apart in age. John looked up to older brother Chris, a star athlete and an A-student, following in suit. In 1927, when John was 11, Chris collapsed and was soon wheelchair bound. In March, 1929, The Wall Street Crash struck, and overnight American banking institutions folded. John's father was financially ruined and promptly took his own life. And so, at 13 years old, John Smith swore to himself that he would never allow himself to break. Even when his beloved brother passed away, two years later, John Smith pressed on. Despite witnessing a New York City that had become decrepit and corrupt, and a failing America that had been gutted once more by the 1933 assassination of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, John was still determined and still a patriot. He earned a degree at Princeton, he joined the New York Mayor's office, implementing programs to get America back to work, and, when war loomed, he signed up for officer training at West Point. where he proved a natural solder and tactician. Graduating to a post within the US Signal Corps. By 1942. John Smith was a 1st Lieutenant. In 1943, he was promoted to Captain and re-deployed to the Pentagon to advise all branches of the military on intelligence gathering. During this time, he met and married Helen M

This is My Time: Recap of 90DF S08E09

This is my Time: Recap of 90DF S08E09
