WINNERS HAVE NOW BEEN DRAWN AND 50 KEYS WERE GIVEN TO LOVELY REDDITORS IN THIS SUB WITH A FURTHER 250 GIVEN AWAY ON STREAM!
I can’t even begin to express how blown away I was by everyone’s kind words and generosity! Truly, thankyou!
The Christmas season is upon us, as such I have about 100 (112 at the time of counting) steam keys that I need to get rid of ranging anywhere from a couple dollars to $90 AUD.
I have decided that since my steam stats indicate Ive only opened something like 4% of my games, its clear I don't need them. Instead I came to the decision that I would give them away at random to try and spread some fun during a time when its needed most.
As such I will be giving away a random Steam key to 10 random users from this sub. All you need to do is comment to enter the giveaway. Depending on the popularity of the post I may increase the amount of keys distributed but it will be 10 at least!
My goal here is to give as many of these away as I can as quite frankly I don't need them and I want to avoid dribbling them out when I know so many people are needing a distraction right now.
In addition I will be hosting a stream on Twitch at 8PM ACST on Friday 18/12 in which all viewers are invited to join a game of marbles where several entrants will win random steam keys! (If you aren't familiar with marbles but are interested I guarantee it is incredibly simple and requires nothing but your presence!
Please join me at Twitch to join in: www.twitch.tv/thestrange_one
Important: I want to be very clear in saying that you are not required or expected to follow/cheer/sub in any way whatsoever. Everyone has the same chance. I would go as far as to say I would advise you to avoid following unless you genuinely like the content or my personality as this isn't me trying to farm follows. I just wanted to do something good in a time its needed most.
This is also my second time running something like this as I've found myself in a pretty fortunate situation during the pandemic and wanted to do what I can to spread some positivity and distractions so if you've seen something similar by me before you know that this is genuine. This will make my total keys given away this year well over 300 which has been incredibly fun to do!
Edit: Massive shout out to the kind souls who have messaged me with extra keys of their own to give away! I’m blown away by how many kind people are... keep reading on reddit ➡
As in igniting f.ex. paper.
For example this one:
The game continues to be a financial hit, making it into the "Platinum" tier of Steam titles this year. I am unsure if the way the games are displayed is the actual order from 1 to 12, but that order would make sense to me looking at the other games present.
It is also recognized as one of the few games to have reached a concurrent player count of over 200,000, with only ten other games having achieved that this year on Steam.
Edit: As has been pointed out in multiple comments, it appears that there's no way to know where D2 ranks in the top 12. Everyone seems to get a random game order.
I spent a lot of the game crafting to make money to buy cars and other items. My game file is at 7.93 mb. It takes almost a minute to load the game. If it crosses 8 mb, my save file corrupts and becomes unloadable. I’m probably going to have to kiss this character goodbye because of this issue.
Crafting makes this issue happen very quickly if you craft way too many items. I used crafting to make money.

I've read through all of your comments and wanted to reply to all of them but unlike my first giveaway, this one got a "little bit more" attention. It was good seeing people appreciating games and their passions in these hard times.
The winner is u/Roseyor
I thank every each one of you for supporting this. This was really hard, to be honest. But I'm happy to help.
So u/Dremis8 is spreading the joy and hype by giving away a Steam copy of the game. They wanted mods to organise it, but please give them all the love.
Just comment on this post about what you’re most excited about regarding the game and we’ll choose somebody at random. The giveaway will end 24 hours after this post has been submitted.
Again, the giveaway is completely by u/Dremis8 . I am but a messenger. Good luck everybody!
Edit: Another choomba has stepped up to burn the city! u/T4rdis1337 is also giving away another Steam copy. The deadline will stay the same, but hoo wee, we're getting into the season of giving! Best of luck, Netrunners!
Edit 2: Congratulations! Looks like you won the raffle. Dremis and T4dis will be in touch with you respectively about receiving your copy of the game.
Edit 3: Neither of the previous winners replied, so we rolled again. Congratulations to u/DustySofa and u/Elda0221! You have 24 hours to reply to Dremis or T4rdis, or we'll have to redo the raffle. Video for proof.
Edit 4: Wooo! Games have been sent out. See you guys in Night City!
If you maximize a video, playback will be interrupted unless your connection is faster than 50mbps because it drops the buffer. Video stutters all the time, poorly adjust to changes in connection speed and often just fail outright to playback.
This video player has been consistently terrible since at least 2010 and I suspect it is completely unchanged since then despite the UI redesign.
Why does steam put so little effort in their storefront presentation is beyond me. I guess as long as they swim in cash, there will be little incentive to actually improve things.
Terraria held record for single player with 486k players
Previous lauch record belonged to fallout 4 with 471k players
As of writing this cyberpunk 2077 has 540k concurrent player thus breaking both records.
Edit :- 655k now, has outward chance on hitting unprecedented 1 million players
Edit 2:- it has hit a million, unbelievable
Hello Everyone! Hopefully everyone's holidays are going well! As the title says I'll be giving away one steam key for Persona 5 Strikers! This is the sequel to Persona 5 (not Royal!) and it is coming to Steam in February of next year. You probably want to know how to enter:
Just write a comment below and I'll pick a winner randomly tomorrow evening 24 hours from now.
Good Luck to everyone!
Edit: and we have a winner, Congrats to u/Fourground1184!
I cannot wait for this mod. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were my return to gaming and hold such nostalgia for me. Also, first user made expansion mod for Fallout allowed on STEAM as a stand alone as long as you own New Vegas.
EDIT - From /u/Phobos95
"Frontier Dev here, our steam launcher will have all the necessary components to run the mod. And it's not necessarily a standalone, you still need to own NV so our launcher can link to it. It requires the FONV to be installed."
"Optimizers are included. If you have steam- I highly recommend using that version for the achievements and also experiencing the Frontier as we developed it, free of other mods that may interfere with it. After you've played all the main quests on steam and/or a clean version though, feel free to mod the hell out of it and break as much as you want."
Sale runs from Dec 22nd 2020 to Jan 5th 2021.
There will be a post each day to focus on Steam's featured deals, and to give people a chance to discuss the many games that will be on sale.
Discounts will remain the same throughout the sale, so you don't need to wait for a featured deal to purchase.
