Just to preface, my dad's entire side of the family is Jewish. I fully understand the persecution and troubles that have faced the Jewish people for thousands of years. Despite this, I do not fully support the state of Israel.
This is not to say that I agree or disagree with the nation's founding, as I am not an expert on the matter and I do not claim to be. Additionally, I recognize that during Israel's short existence, they have been attacked relentlessly from basically all sides. However, the way the country has treated Palestinians is entirely unacceptable. Innocent people are killed each and every day by Israeli forces as if it is nothing. Furthermore, the growing sense of nationalism around the world is alarmingly seen in Israel, as they are a wealthy and powerful nation, especially when compared to those around them.
Ultimately, I feel as if religious states do not really work, and in no way am I excusing the wrongs that have been directed towards the Jewish people over many... keep reading on reddit ➡
I [16M, black] am afraid of getting shot. It’s one of my biggest fucking fears and I hate it and I shouldn’t have to feel that way. I don’t want to be treated like crap because I’m not a fucking criminal. I’ve done everything right, good grades, extracurriculars, never have I gotten in trouble with the law nor school trouble. I’m a good person and I wish I wasn’t portrayed as a bad person. Im afraid to go outside on a run or even just do normal things because I don’t want to die. I hate being followed around in stores like I’m about to steal something or given dirty looks. I just don’t want to be judged based on the assumption of some black people do.
I also want to point out that I support the black lives matter movement but the rioting and burning things down has to fucking stop because this is not the way but I see where their coming from, we’re pissed off because there are systems of oppression built against us and WE ARE DONE PLAYING GAMES. WE AS AMERICA HAVE AND WE EACH HAVE TO P... keep reading on reddit ➡
As an outside observer of the USA I can assure you that a female candidate won't solve any problems. Across the common wealth, female leaders have produced mixed results, Theresa May did not last long and was seemingly ineffective, while Margaret Thatcher crushed many a common worker over seeing economic reform that hurts many to this day.
New Zealand has had a mixed bag, with Jenny Shipley being largely ineffective at everything a side from a knife in the back. Helen Clark a female leader led the average New Zealand family to economic dependency on the government, and has a mixed time as a leader economically. Jacinda Ardern has been fantastic as a face, but also has been a lot weaker on many policy issues than the media would have you know.
Ultimately the problem lies beyond the leader, good, bad or incompetent, rather the problem is the system we love in where the interests of corporations and businesses are put a head of that of workers and individuals.
4 years ago today, the Warriors and Cavs played Game 4 of the 2016 Finals. Here's the post game thread
Steph Curry had 38 points and hit 7 threes
Kyrie Irving dropped 34 points
Lebron narrowly missed out on a triple double, with 25pts/13reb/9ast
After the game, Klay Thompson infamously said that Lebron got his feelings hurt
Hi, I’m state Representative Charles Booker. I am running for U.S Senate in Kentucky because Kentucky needs a movement in order to unseat Mitch McConnell, and in order to orient our politics toward what Kentuckians do best: taking care of one another.
I am the Real Democrat in this race, who has worked alongside teachers, workers, miners, the Black community, young people & students, and even Republicans to make our state a better place. I have the backing of Kentucky’s leaders -- in the form of 16 members of the House of Representatives, and the full power of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, our state’s leading grassroots organization.
I am running not only to unseat Mitch McConnell, which will damn near save the country in itself, but also to take us on a path to building a... keep reading on reddit ➡
As an American I believe that those who brags about the USA being the greatest country in the world are the ones who have never really seen the rest of the world. Don’t get me wrong, I love this country. But I’m tired of patriotic Americans shouting constantly that we are the greatest nation on earth. We are not. I travel extensively for work and I think anyone else who has also seen the world will probably agree - we are quite far from being the greatest. This may be hard for some to swallow, but it’s about time we realized this and started working on making America great again. Even though Trump shouts that line a lot, he’s made America worse and we are now a global joke. Let’s admit that our country needs work instead of being arrogant and proud. Don’t be blinded by patriotism.
EDIT: well this got a lot more attention than I thought it would. Some hateful comments as expected - I apologize if I ruined your morning. Please know that I love this country. And for those asking, where... keep reading on reddit ➡
So, let's make a brief review of some disgusting descriptions and inconsistencies. There are lots of them and makes me sad.
Let's take Wukong as a reference to flame a bit later about him.
This is his normal W description: https://i.imgur.com/VWRGoMa.png
Everything looks fine. Let's hit Shift to see the detailed description, we can now see the type of invisibility he uses and how it scales through every single level! Neat. https://i.imgur.com/H8FMvsT.png
Let's take a look at Gnar now. We try to shift to see detailed info but... Nothing happens. No advanced info for Gnar! If you want to see what will increase wait until you level up, or go to a third party website! https://i.imgur.com/wxDsPuI.png
Also, speaking about Gnar... We all know that he gets tired when he goes back from Mega Gnar form to regular Gnar, right? Well... That isn't written anywhere in the champ abilities or p... keep reading on reddit ➡
Many of us were (unfortunately) watching that fateful Monday night football game in week 7 where Sam Darold revealed to the world that he was “seeing ghosts” on his way to 5 turnovers. As a Jets fan, I have been subjected to “seeing ghost” jokes ever since. But after constant memes at my quarterback’s expense, I began to wonder: What if Darnold really DOES see ghosts?
Before I go any further, I’d just like to say I drew inspiration for this post from u/AngryCentrist and his post in r/nba, so the formatting is similar. Now let’s do some stats!
Hypothesis: Sam Darnold has supernatural abilities allowing him to see ghosts, and when there are more ghosts he performs worse.
Test: Analyze Darnold’s performance in each state and correlate those numbers with the amount of deaths in that state in the previous year.
