I nailed today. I got my kids to school on time without anyone crying, I made soup for the week's lunches, I did laundry, I made ALL the beds, I did my makeup, I got the baby down for 2 naps without fussing (in her crib!), I made dinner on time (everything was hot, and all the kids ate it), I picked up the kids from school on time, I hit my 10k steps, I worked out. I fucking did it all.
And as I'm cleaning up the kitchen while talking to all of my children simultaneously about their day, I wipe up some water on the floor. My husband says "you missed a spot". And I did. There was an even bigger puddle beside me that I didn't see. And just like that everything I did today means nothing. He didn't notice anything else I did today. Not a thank you, not a "dinner is good". Nothing.
Happy international women's Day. I hope you feel seen today.
Edit: thank you to the people of this beautiful community who lifted me up in a moment when I needed it. β€οΈ
Not only that, but LaVine is also tied with MJ for 31, and from there down to 46 are also occupied by MJ.
LaVine is having a great month, and watching the Bulls is fun again for the first time in a while thanks to him, but MJs numbers are always so otherworldly they feel made up.

Introduction:
Itβs been a hell of a year. From the impeachment that took place to a currently ongoing election in Georgia (the state), from the missile strike on a foreign leader to the rise of civil rights protests, from the deaths of people that have inspired to those close that weβve lost, in more ways than one, from the graduates that never got to say goodbye to their friends to the people who are about to lose their homes, this year has been long.
But like all good things, so too will this year come to an end. Whether or not weβve grown, learned, or changed, weβve survived, at least this far. Thereβs a light at the end of this tunnel, after so long, but itβll be here. As a matter of fact, Iβm looking forward to it. I missed exploring without having to worry for my life and the ones around me, seeing faces and getting to interact with them, getting to play, eat, and celebrate all the wonders of life. I hope Iβm not the only one.
This Christmas season, weβre conducting one final [Drawing Thread] of the year, and I hope youβve been looking forward to it. Since weβre anticipating a lot of new people here, make sure you have read the rules that follow to qualify for the subreddit. The premise of this subreddit is that, if a million people donate to a single person, we can make a millionaire! Now, we havenβt had a million people, but perhaps today can be a first!
Also, welcome to anyone and everyone joining in from /r/popular! While this event is done monthly, the most activity consistently takes place throughout the holiday season! If this is your first time and youβve been around Reddit for at least a month, youβre eligible to enter, just make sure you read up on the rules below! For the record, this isnβt a lottery. Entry is free, the winner is funded publicly by the entire community, and the selection process uses blockchain, making it random but verifiable to anyone investigating. This also means weβre always guaranteed to make a winner, that the odds are only as big as the number of people participating, and it could even be you! Anyway, if you decide, make sure you stick around for our monthly threads!
In Case You Missed It:
β’ This is done every month, we will be doing this again starting with January for our 62^nd Drawing

While Apple is a formidable competitor, theyβre second in the race by a large margin: Spotify sits at 144M subscribers and Apple sits around 60M (likely closer to 70M by now). Despite the services being available in roughly the same number of countries (APM:167, Spotify:170), Spotifyβs been able to capture much more subscriber growth thanks to a few aggressive expansions.
Youβve definitely heard of Spotifyβs aggressive podcast expansions, including JRE exclusivity and new originals/exclusives such as Michelle Obamaβs podcast. This expansion led Spotify to surpass Appleβs podcast numbers just barely in 2020, with analysts expecting 41% growth in 2021. Analysts expect that 53.9% of βdigital audio listenersβ will be podcast listeners in 2021. Spotifyβs continuing to expand in this space to meet upstart competitor Clubhouse, by testing paid podcast subscriptions that allow for interactivity. (side note, Iβd be interested to know if theyβre trying to compete with twitch here too)
A newer expansion on Spotifyβs part is their recent foray into audiobooks. It appears that theyβre sticking to public domain works for now to test the waters, but moving forwards, this could create a real challenge to competitors like Audible, a company with an estimated $2.5B in revenue in 2020 and no real competitors.
Spotifyβs been aggressively pursuing developing markets, which has a negative impact on financials in the short term but could lead to greater profitability in the future. The reason is that they charge lower rates in developing markets in order to build a subscriber base and a presence.
Onto some quick financial stats. (figures in EUR)
Spotifyβs 2020 revenue clocks in at 7.3B, and a 47.7B mkt cap, which works out to a P/S ratio of 6.53.
Personally, I like to value companies in the context of competitors β¦ which is sort of hard to do for spotify. Iβd argue Netflix is the most comparable (software, digital media, subscriber model), and their P/S ratio sits at 8.96. Twitterβs a bit of a stretch, but their P/S ratio sits at 13.5: Adobe, another stretch but closer imo as itβs subscription-based software, sits at 15.9.
Spotifyβs debt/equity ratio is on a downward trend, sitting at 1.26. Itβs got a forwards CAGR of 22%.
The biggest red flag I see on their balance sheet has to do with their **cost of revenue: itβs been increasing almost in lock-s

My spot is the one closest to the elevator. 2 weeks ago the apartment manager came to talk to me and asked if I would be willing to give up my spot since a disabled woman was moving in. I said sure β I would be happy to switch spaces. He said I misunderstood β he was asking me to give up a space in the garage entirely. He explained she used a van with a powered ramp β that she would need 2 spaces to be able to use it. I told him I would not give up my space. I pointed out to him that the parking spot was part of my lease.
Last week I came home and there was a large van with disabled plates parked next to my spot. I pulled in, parking as far from it as I could. The next day I get a call from a woman about 7:30am β she said that she was the owner of the van needed me to move my car. I wasnβt happy β I had still been asleep, but I went down to move my car. She did the same thing the next 3 days. The next morning (a Saturday) she called me at 5:30am β and I told her she had to be kidding. I went down and told her that I donβt wake up normally until 8:30am and I would appreciate it if she didnβt call before then. She told me that she had plans and not to be a jackass. I reminded her that I was doing her a favor by coming down.
That evening (5:30pm) when I got home the van was parked partially in my space so that I couldnβt use it. I had her number so I called. When she picked up she said something snarky like βisnβt it annoying to have to wait on someone.β I told her the difference was I could have her towed and if she wasnβt down here in 5 minutes I would. She told me I wouldnβt dare and hung up on me. I waited the 5 minutes and called the tow company. It took the company about 30 minutes to get there and tow the car from my space. She never came down.
She calls at 6:30pm. I picked up and she started screaming. I just hung up on her. She called back, still screaming. I hung up again. About 30 minutes later I get a knock on the door and she and the apartment manager is there. She asked me what hell I was thinking having her van towed. I told her that is what I am supposed to do if my space is blocked and I did warn her first. The apartment manager said we needed to come to a compromise. I said that I did not need to compromise. According to my lease I am entitled to a parking spot. I never agreed to be woken up early every day and I certainly ever agreed to give up my spot entirely.

Just wondering where people stand on the fact that 95% of this game is just rushing the same loot spots or boss spawns, and that is it.
Yes you don't "have" to play that way, but also you do, because you need that loot for hideout, tasks, etc.
Why:
Her winrate is higher than ever this season (currently sitting at 49.5% compared to 48.21% (11.1), 47.96% (11.2), 49.19% (11.3), 45.63% (11.4)).
Her banrate has gone down from 50% to 9% so Samira mains can actually play her.
Following up on the second point, she doesn't feel as frustrating to play against anymore while still having a lot of solo carry potential, skill expression, and great scaling.
Opinions?
Neighbors placed old furniture in the street spot they shoveled out to reserve their spot. Our town sent out notice to residents that those items will be thrown out. Currently waiting for the town to throw out nieghbors old dresser.
Why YSK: Might save your life to know that the ice above you covering the water appears white from underneath, and the hole you broke through looks dark. So, look for a dark spot when swimming up.
Also good to know: Once you found it, turn your back to the ledge, put your elbows over the ledge and make swimming movements with your legs, as if you were swimming on your back. Like this you should be able to slide over the edge on top of the ice. Keep lying on your back, pushing yourself away from the place you broke through, then turn on your belly and crawl or roll to safety, without using knees or elbows.
Edit: I meant of course crawl or roll, not rob, to not confuse you further.
Edit 2: To all people calling bullshit: This is public advice from the danish authorities, source is here:
https://www.badesikkerhed.dk/en/adults/ice-safety/
I believe itβs because when you scuba dive under meter thick ice, it might appear dark, but thatβs probably not the ice you typically break through. Personally, I have not had the pleasure yet, so canβt be sure.
