By simple standards of ancient Euclidean geometry (over 2000 years old):
In more complex analytic geometry (less than 400 years old), where shapes aren't drawn but defined by equations, inequalities or their systems:
One might think now: "Hey, there is nothing special about those newer definitions. I like Euclidean stuff better!". Actually there is. Those analytically defined shapes can be only what they are:
A Dyson ring, I can understand. It will be in orbit around the star and that will keep it in place.
A sphere, however, will collapse at the poles. There is no centrifugal force acting on the poles since they are stationary, so what will prevent them from collapsing into the star? In fact, anything just north or south of the equator of the Sphere will have to orbit in a different plane, otherwise it'll be moving too slowly and this will exert extreme forces on the structure such that it will collapse.
I used the search function but this was only also said in 1 comment and has no own thread about it so I went ahead and did it myself.
We all assume that those dots are supposed to be the Asteroid Belt but that can't be. All the lines that the other Planets etc. are on, curve towards the sun to indicate a Orbit. If we also go on even further, the last Sphere is HUGE, like Jupiter on the wall. If it were Pluto, it would need to be way smaller than that and to top that, afaik, Pluto does NOT have a gigantic Asteroid Belt that Orbits him, which is what the dotted wall indicates, since it's the only Line that curves BACK, i. e. AWAY from the Sun.
This can't be a asteroid belt as it would need to curve towards the sun, not away from it which means it's orbiting whatever that gigantic thing is that comes from the very right.
I guess i should disclose that i'm a bernie supporter from the get-go, but i've always been a feminist and now more recently a radical feminist (came with my detransition lol)
But i really think that Warren's campaign failing, shows how people are now rejecting the platitudes and lies that mainstream media tells, one of which often being about tra talking points.
I now and will always support the human rights for every individual. No matter what. That includes supporting and advocating for the safety and basic rights of women and girls to live in spaces without the threat of rape, harassment, or abuse.
Politics aren't perfect, because no human is, but i think more people are looking for substance. They want to support the goal of genuine basic human rights and not the "right" to invade women's spaces and allow possible rapists and domestic abuser to enter womens shelters, for example.
Bernie is succeeding because of this. He doesn't talk about trans people other than in the "yeah... keep reading on reddit ➡
Has Microsoft / Sega said anything about PSO2es being a thing in the North American version? I feel like that's going vastly unmentioned and it was a convenient addition to the game when I couldn't be at home to play!
Does PSO2 have any kind of draconian ruling in terms of player levels? IE: Friend A doesn't play for a week and has lower level ARKS missions, and I'm 30 levels ahead and want to help them. Will it screw them out of experience? Is there a level sync/level binding feature to keep with buds even if ahead?
Just curious...and neither of these were answered in the FAQ's and the like. Thanks!
Music of the Spheres is probably close (I hope so), so I'd like to know, how would you like the next album to sound?
I will start by saying that after the sound of Everyday Life, it is almost a fact that the next album will be mainstream, so the first thing you should have is:
Pop: This is more than obvious, Pop has become something indispensable for Coldplay since Mylo Xyloto, so this should be the sound of the next album
Some Sad or Calm Ballad: This is something that should not be missing in a Coldplay album, in Mylo Xyloto we had Us Against the World and UFO, A Head Full of Dreams had Everglow and Fun and Everyday Life had Daddy, so a ballad to calm the rhythm of the album would be amazing
Songs in the style of "Aliens" and "E-Lo": Aliens is interesting and incredible with a different sound and is basically an opera, E-Lo on the other hand is too sticky and something never seen before
A Spatial Sound: If Music of the Spheres is what we think, all songs must hav... keep reading on reddit ➡
After Everyday Life, I just stopped paying attention at the rumors because i thought that the band would have needed at least another 3 years to product something, considering they’ve always been pretty slow (and i accept that). However I’ve seen many threads about this Music of The Spheres thing, theories, images and much more. Can someone explain to me what’s happening? Is it an album, an EP, or anything else?
'Consider it dun'
The trick I learned was to build deep core convectors around every dome to keep the residents warm through the cold spell. I also waited to uncover the sphere until I had 100% teraformed, and done all research.
I recently ran a one-shot game for new'ish players; one of them had played a lot of Pathfinder, and the other three had only either played very little or simply watched Critical Role. In the dungeon they eventually explored, they crossed a bridge and were faced with the challenge of going either left or right immediately after the bridge. At that intersection, on the stone wall, I placed a Sphere of Annihilation and described it as a demonic face with a wide, gaping mouth and crazed eyes that look in different directions. The inside of the mouth is a magical impenetrable blackness.
In order to progress, the players simply had to walk left or right. There was no trickery. One of the players, thinking that the obvious safe paths were traps, thought that the demon face was actually the cleverly-hidden safe passage. The cleric (played by a more cautious person) threw a pebble with Light on it into the mouth and naturally it disappeared immediately. Undeterred, the eager player climbed i... keep reading on reddit ➡
I think I'm beginning to go insane. I've used over 40 Charge TMs on my 2018 Lucario and I still haven't gotten Aura Sphere. I've started questioning whether or not this thing is even in the game! Does anyone know the probability of getting Aura Sphere? Is it less than 1/5? Does my Lucario have to be from 2019/2020? I've never had this much trouble getting a move before. How many times has everyone else tried before getting it? Please, I need answers!
I'm in a Wrath of the Righteous Game with some friends and we're gonna hit our first mythic tier soon. I play a Goblin Air Kineticist, aiming for a sniper build and was trying to figure out how Mythic would work with it since a lot of the normal path abilities focus on attack actions, which Kineticists don't take. When I mentioned this to my DM he linked me the Spheres of Power Mythic Kineticist page and I've found a lot of really nice options to take- the only problem being that some of them seem -too- nice? For example the Mythic version of Snake Infusion, which allows you to do damage to every enemy hit along the path- combine this with air's reach and I'd have 240 feet worth of space to hit for full damage. This sounds really unbalanced, but this is my first mythic campaign so I'm not sure what is actually expected here. If anyone has any experience using these I'd greatly appreciate your feedback

Shower thought: The scout ship Shaenor was researching portions of the Sphere data that Discovery collected 150 years ago and that’s what severed the cubes link to the collective. Thoughts?
We know all of the data was probably transferred to the red angel suit and brought to the future, but there were a lot of issues with transferring the data and even collecting it to begin with, so maybe what seemed like an inconsequential amount of it fell through the cracks and is still being analyzed by various intelligence agencies.
Most of us seem to be open to speculation that the Shaenor was a Zhat Vash ship intentionally assimilated to disrupt the cube’s connection or a normal Romulan ship/crew that was either equipped with Borg sabotaging tech OR information that even the Borg were afraid of assimilating.
Presumably the sphere would have observed whatever dark secret the Zhat Vash are “protecting” and we know it had incredible knowledge of A.I.
And I wonder what a sentient android would... keep reading on reddit ➡
Newton’s shell theorem using the inverse square law says no, though I’m not sure if it’s the same for Einsteinian general relativity
I'm pretty sure it's called *'s Cube (or Sphere) and has a Wikipedia page...
It's something that either has an infinite amount of detail in gears and stuff so that you can't comprehend how it works. Or it defies the laws of physics so bad you go insane. It's very lovecraftian, like an SCP (scp-wiki.net).
