Fascist UK hands US all territory in North and South America, America has not completed the Destroyers for Bases focus. What’s going on?

It MIGHT be tied to the Monroe doctrine since that’s the last focus they completed before the transfer... unless the UK has a focus for the trade on their side?

EDIT: tagged over to US... they have a war goal against France despite the neutrality act. I am throughly confused

Giants in South America Protecting Villages

In the comment section of my latest post about a 15ft. warrior-class Fae Guard, I re-told the stories of Soldiers encountering Giants during the conflicts of South America in the 1970’s.

An American shaman in training saw 2 horrible giant warriors who ate the babies of the villagers they protected. They lived in caves and fought the Sandinistas during the conflicts. The giants were under control of the shamans, and had to be fed live babies every 3 months. They were in a trance like state until released by the Shamans. The shaman in control said that when fully awakened, everything would die. They had matching warrior tattoos of their culture and were armed spears that were 8 feet long with an arrowhead 1.6 feet in length, and 8 inches wide. It would take 2 men to lift this weapon, and they couldn’t even wield it. The Giants could take out whole platoons of troops who fought with modern weapons. Anyone opposing the Giants would die. They had 2 giants to protect 2000 people and the mil

I'm looking to move to Latin or South America eventually. I'm not sure if it'd be permanent or I'd travel around multiple countries in those areas. Either way if anyone could help me know the visas available in those countries, anyone who has experience via travelling/moving there or is in a resident there it'd be useful. I understand a lot of visas depend on jobs, so for additional information I'd be a freelancer or work remotely. If any further information is required or wish to help me feel free to message me or comment below, thank you for reading.

After the End Fan Fork Dev Diary 48 - South America History and Release Date

Good tidings, all!

Well, we've delayed this long enough. It's time to talk about the revamped history and lore of South America. Before we start, I need to profusely thank /u/Atimo3 for almost singlehandedly writing all of this. Seriously, if you plan to thank me in the comments, do not. Please thank /u/Atimo3 instead.

South American History - The Caudillo's Children

Let's start by taking a look at the new political map.

Looks pretty similar at first...

Although the political setupitself has changed relatively little, the history of this area has changed immensely. Let's start at the beginning with the history of the Patria Grande religious head title, La Patria Grande.

Is it true that there's a North American vs South American dispute over how the Americas were peopled? What's the prevailing hypothesis for how this happened?

I watched a video by a Brazilian scientist ytber about the peopling of the Americas; he says that we used to think that the first humans got here by walking from Siberia to Alaska through ice-free land, but now, he says, while North American scientists insist on the "Beringian theory", South Americans say that humans got here by boat, either via the Aleut Islands or via Polynesia, and earlier than we thought. He also mentions the Pedra Furada sites, which supposedly have evidence for 40,000 yo human occupation, and also a Brazilian professor who believes the first American humans were Australo-Melanesians. So.. how true is that?

Why does the contiguous North American landmass consist of a minute number of countries despite being colonised by a greater number of empires than South America?

South America to my understanding was largely colonised by the Spanish via the Treaty of Tordesillas, but yet consists of multiple nations notwithstanding Brazil and French Guiana who are all Spanish speaking yet are sovereign.

Contiguous North America was colonised by a greater number of European empires yet has resulted in only 3 nations being in existence.

Surely wouldn't the presence of multiple colonies who are linguistically different lead to a greater number of countries on the North American continent?

Essentially why does contiguous North America consist of 3 nations?

Is this a good plan for two weeks in South America?

I spent 3 months backpacking in NZ, Aus & SE Asia last year & planned to do the same for a month in South America this year, but a recent career change means I can’t take off that much time anymore so I’ve had to cut it down to two weeks. I’m aware this is barley enough time to really even see one country but I want to spread it out across two and at least get a taste of South America. Right now I’m planning to spend a week in Rio De Janiero then fly to Cuzco and spend a week there. I’m after beaches, amazing landscapes, ancient ruins (Machu Picchu), colonial cities, famous landmarks and I want to visit the Amazon, those two places together seem to check those boxes. Is this a good plan or should I look elsewhere?

I’m flying from London in September and my budget for the two weeks is Β£2000.

Just to name one example, but the treatment of people are so hypocritical to what yardstick they hold against other people!

As a South African I can say that we are still working on our issues, but at least we are healing.

Feels like America is going in the exact opposite direction as to what we are growing towards.

No system is perfect, but we all expect more from America (most probably too much I recon).

Peace

If you had the opportunity to travel again, then what are the 3 countries of each continent (Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America) that you would love to go to?

Personally, I’d pick the following:

Asia-South Korea, Georgia, and Japan

Since Asia is so varied, here are the honorable mentions: Taiwan (East Asia), Israel (West Asia), Bhutan (South Asia), Thailand (SEA), and Kazakhstan (Central Asia)

Africa-Tunisia, South Africa, and Seychelles

Europe-United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Spain

Europe's my most favorite continent that I would want to go to, so here are some honorable mentions: Estonia, Romania, Germany, Denmark, Liechtenstein, and Croatia

North America-U.S.A (Oregon, New York, and Hawaii) , Canada, and Jamaica

Oceania-New Zealand (preferably, South Island), Australia, and Fiji

South America-Peru, Ecuador, and Chile

How about you?
