My pick is Gehenna from All Hope Is Gone
I was just wondering what are people's favorite slipknot song? Mine is either Devil in i or unsainted
Here are some bands that, in my opinion, you might like if you like Slipknot. I only made a selection of bands that musically sound similar, not those with similar lyrics.
What other bands do you recommend?
Hereβs a direct quote from Shawn βIs it SLIPKNOT? No, it's not SLIPKNOT. Is it four members of SLIPKNOT? Yes. It's four members of SLIPKNOTβ
So Iβm not sure why thereβs any confusion as to when Slipknot is going to announce itβs release. They wonβt. They didnβt announce any Stone Sour releases. They didnβt announce CMFT and they wonβt announce Look Outside Your Window because itβs not a Slipknot album. The album is owned by the 4 members who created it, not Slipknot. So again why does everyone expect Slipknot to announce its release?
The individual members (Shawn, Corey, Jim and Sid) will make the announcement but donβt expect any announcement from the band.
For context, I'm a metalhead. I listen to other genres too, but mainly metal. I don't really have any other friends that listen to the exact same stuff as I do.
Today, I was on a walk alone. I saw this person and he had a Slipknot hoodie on. I didn't talk to him or anything, I just saw the hoodie and it made me feel good. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe because I never really see other people wearing metal merch.
I know that he might not actually listen to the band but I still thought it was cool to see.
Just appreciating the little things in life.
I fee like if I saw this when I was better mental health wise, it would make me happy. Currently, my mental health state isn't great and I may be emotionally numb. The numbness is sometimes better or worse.
Hope you enjoyed my random ramble. Enjoy your day!
Mine is the on from Eyeless, "Don't give a shit, cause its shit that you gave me." But I want to hear your favorite lyrics! It can be any Slipknot song form any album too.
Many people and maggots alike will say their favourite album is either self-titled or Iowa, but I really feel like "We Are Not Your Kind" (2019) is their best. It has a wide variety of sounds and a lot of songs have a mix of heavy, throat gashing screams and melodic, clean vocals. I can honestly listen to the entire album from start to finish without skipping any songs. I even like the little songs inbetween that's not really considered songs, like "Insert Coin" and "Death Because of Death". I know many people will say Slipknot's earlier stuff were better, but after listening to Iowa and self-titled all the way through a few times, there were still songs that I couldn't bear and had to skip. Furthermore, a lot of the earlier songs don't have as recognisable riffs or drum beats like their newer stuff. All the songs just kinda blend into one another with no clear indication, other than the vocals, that it's a new song you're listening. A lot of my favourite Slipknot songs have very recognisable riffs and beats, like "The Blister Exists", "Nero Forte" and "The Devil in I", to name a few, but I couldn't think of one riff or beat that makes me recognise any of their self-titled or Iowa songs - to me it is purely recognisable through the vocals. Thus, my opinion stands, "We Are Not Your Kind" is truly a masterpiece to me and I have grown very fond of every song on the album.
She claims that violent music is making my anxiety worse. It actually does the complete opposite for me. After she "banned" me from listening to it, she took my phone and tv. She looks through my youtube history and my spotify. Am I in the wrong for wanting my favorite albums back?
