we've all seen how things are going online, and it seems likely that this board will soon be canned for wrongthink - evidently the admins can't tolerate even one subreddit that isn't about marvel films. Despite our general retardation the standard of discourse here is pretty high compared to the rest of the net, and I think it might be worth trying to pick up in some other place when we eventually get the boot.
So, it's time for suggestions. Is there any point in trying to regroup and if so, where? What other platforms lend themselves to this style of semi-longform, discursive posting? Where will we be free from the grasp of silicon valley soyboys? Does anyone want to try doing something different and more in-depth (I've been thinking about starting an email newsletter for instance). Let's see if we can think up something worthwhile (not discord lol)
edit: also apparently there are ways to archive the posts here (see this). I don't know if it's worth it since 95% of what's posted here is twitter screenshots and other garbage, but consider saving some of your favourite/most useful posts (recommendation threads!)
edit 2: u/bkawcazn has made a forum for us - very cool!
Recent Tweet I came across on Twitter:
> Harden was asked to come off the bench, he came off the bench.
> Was asked to slash and play off ball, he did that.
> Was asked to only shoot 3βs & layups. He did that.
> Was asked to be a PnR PG, he did that.
> Was asked to play better D, he did that.
> Was asked to ISO, he did that.
Thoughts?
It feels right to me. Harden came within the brink of beating the greatest team of all time - one that generally swept through the rest of the NBA. For whatever reason, he doesn't get any recognition for coming so close.

Apparently, if you haven't seen, hirez is adding a new game mode called "Slash". The goal here (I assume) is to mix the best of both game modes into one game mode. Presumably, siege and clash will both be removed, which I disagree with completely. I feel it's hirezs' responsibility to come out and say whether or not these game modes will be removed. I play siege mostly, clash is fine and I respect the game mode, but I feel hirez is missing the point here. People that play siege don't want to play clash, and likewise, people that play clash don't want to play siege. They are opposite game modes that, in my opinion, shouldn't be mixed together.
I know many players that play siege, who enjoy the game mode greatly. I feel siege is the only experience even close to a 2v2 game mode (early laning phase) I don't believe these game modes are splitting the playerbase, or making matchmaking worse as many people try and say. At the end of the day I think hirez should come out and completely state thier intentions. A whole new game mode? Awesome! But removing 2 game modes that people enjoy seems rather counter intuitive.
Sorry for the formatting as I am on mobile. Let me know how y'all feel on this.
The component active Crescent crits minions below half health for 150% AD which is extremely useful as a replacement for tiamat. However for some reason the mythic version does not crit and only does 110% ad on a 20 second cd which is much worse for farming. I'm not saying the dash needs to be buffed but the dash does feel extremely weak considering you barely move and can't go through walls.
Crescent does half the wave's heath instantly on a 15 second cooldown making it a great first rush component. It is better than tiamat because you can use it on champions whereas tiamat does not affect the target you are attacking. After completing the component, it is actually better to switch towards building a different item as the rest of stridebreaker's build path is fairly weak, especially the new kindlegem. Remember that the mythic passive does not kick in until you get the first item after completing the mythic so you can get the bonus at the same time whether you build the mythic as a first or second item.
