Wore a skirt to my first day of this school year and I feel so liberated because of it.
For context, I'm a boy who has been wearing the same thing every day, a red hoodie, blue jeans, black gloves, boots, and mask. But for my first day of school I wore a skirt because I absolutely despise gender stereotypes. And I feel kind of refreshed and more confident.
First time going in skirt to school 🥺🥰
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). Dumbledore's Army: All the girls are wearing skirts except Ginny (3rd from left) who is wearing pants; probably a hand-me-down from her brothers. (Good going costume department)
AITA for not helping a colleague wearing skirt to retrieve something on ladder?
The new girl(17) in the office is in charged of managing the warehouse at the back. At first she was timid and kept asking for my help so I(32M) showed her how to climb a ladder and retrieve things safely. Honestly those aren't rocket science as long as you don't have acrophobia you are fine.
I soon realized that this has become a routine and she would ask me at least once a week to climb ladder and retrieve "heavy things" for her. I told her before that it was her job and if she really couldn't do it she should speak to her superiors, but she could only promise that she would do it next time, only to ask for my help again after a while.
As the temperature rises she now comes in heeled shoes and skirts, which was not supported for our working environment. There is no specific dress code for office staffs but we were encouraged to wear covered shoes and long pants for safety reasons.
I was busy doing some slides when she approached me again to help her retrieve something on the hi

Hey mom, 2 weeks ago I showed you the bodice of my wedding dress I was making, and you wanted updates. Well now we have a skirt on it! Still a long way to go but I'm glad I've decided to share my updates with my online moms instead of my bio one!
I've always been too embarrassed to be feminine, but I finally got a skirt and I love it! I think it'll be awhile until I can wear it in public though!
My son is “hiding” from me. That is my skirt that I am wearing.
I figured I would post this here since I actually found the link to this skirt while lurking on this subreddit a couple weeks ago lmao ^^ thanks for all the laughs and for guiding me towards my new favourite statement piece for the summer!!

As a stoic practice, being male, I wore a skirt to school everyday for three weeks
I went through a long process of reasoning before I decided that this was a virtuous thing to do. Looking back now I also realize it was a very stoic thing to do.
First, within myself I recognized a fear of femininity and "womanliness." However, this misogyny is an irrational external impression. Why am I afraid of femininity? Why am I afraid of doing something that can be seen as "female"? Why would I let a piece of cloth threaten my masculinity and sense of identity. If my identity was this fragile then does not it deserve to be shattered?
I realized that if I were to wear a skirt it would help me work through my fear of femininity. It may sound strange but it helped humanize women for me. For a long time, I had a subconscious idea that women are somehow "different" than me or "weaker" or more "vulnerable." I wanted to rid myself of these harmful external impressions. Wearing a skirt made me realize how useless it was to associate feminine clothing with weakness. Women are humans j

Why aren’t skirts on boys considered normal wtf?!?!
After getting my first skirt and chilling in it all day I’ve came to the conclusion: “WHY TF AREN’T MORE BOYS TOLD THEY CAN WEAR THEM”
they’re so damn comfy, airy, make me feel cute and last but not least the best part: TWIRL
It’s sad that alot of people would ridicule someone for wearing a skirt when they’re so damn comfy and cute 🤧
My sister found my skirt
Alright, sooo... My parents are very conservative and would not be very open to feminine boys, being gay, etc...
I currently have made 1 skirt (out of a bed sheet) and 2 crop tops (out of old shirts) that I have made. Anyways, I was playing Minecraft on my PC and my sister walked in my room, we talked for a bit and said we should watch Little Women in a little bit and I said sure but I would have to download it first. She said that's ok because she's going to take a shower anyway.
As she was walking out of my room, she saw my skirt on the thing you put your clothes on, srry I can't remember what it's called but it's like a closet that is in the open. I had one of my crop tops on there too but she didn't actually see that. She looked at it closer and saw that it was a skirt and started kinda teasing me and saying "what's this?" I didn't answer her because I was too nervous, I kinda just took my skirt back and told her to get out of my room. She asked me if mom knows and I said no and

Call me crazy, but maybe you shouldn't try to skirt the rules in the first place...
Those tight pencil skirts are a little bit defrauding
just because they wear skirts doesn’t mean they’re always bottoms 🤦🏾♀️
So I took off her shirt. Then she said, "Take off my skirt." I took off her skirt. "Take off my shoes." I took off her shoes. "Now take off my bra and panties." and so I took them off.
Then she looked at me and said, "I don't want to catch you wearing my things ever again."
I'm so so sorry but Joseph and skirts just....*fit*

Got my first skirt and thigh highs today, regretting not getting them sooner 🥺👉👈
First time in a skirt. It felt amazing!
Mtf very new egg. Pre pre everything but wearing skirts while family is asleep. Could I pass eventually?
I was really proud of my outfit because the skirt is actually a pashmina. I lack creativity when it comes to fashion so I outdid myself for the year lol (I temporarily took my mask off for the photo - it’s on my left arm)
What’s your opinion on the “let’s normalize guys wearing skirts” thing going on?
Alright on insta all the girls at my school have been posting “let’s normalize guys wearing skirts” I haven’t met any guy yet who actually agrees with it and I want to know what the people here think
In the process of making this meme, I learned it’s in my mailbox. Can’t wait to have my first skirt tho

Women whose thighs rub together, what do you wear under your dresses/skirts?
Hi ladies! I'm on the hunt for the perfect under garment to wear under dresses to avoid chafing in the summer time. I like bike shorts, but the couple pairs I own are a bit too thick, and not very breathable. Does anyone have any favorites? Thanks for your help!

Skirts should be accepted also as male dress, everywhere
It makes so much sense for men to wear skirts, it would feel so much freer down there. Would be nice to wear short skirts on hot summer days while the manly parts can breath properly. On top of that PEEING would be so much easier.
Not only short skirts, maxi skirts would look great I think. I would totally go with maxi skirts.
I wish some male celebrity would start wearing skirts and that it becomes a trend and will catch on more and more.
Hongjoong asked the stylist to wear more skirts because he thinks it looks pretty while dancing
This man is so......he really said in a vlive that they he saw a performance where he wore skirts and he thought it was very unique and pretty while dancing and asked the stylist to make more skirts for him that would match the color scheme of the outfits on different days. He really said fuck toxic masculinity .He's such a fashion king. This man is really something amazing, wow.

Remember when Alex made a poll about an open skirt inventory screen but immediately disregarded the majority (who don't want it) as "offended" and says since fictional violence is okay, the sexualisation of a teen should be okay too? Tbh this is just an aesthetic, I would prefer a boring inventory.
My 17yr old son has started cooking. Poached eggs yesterday. Omelettes this AM and tonight skirt steak street tacos. He finished the steak in the instapot.

Is anyone else annoyed by women tripping over their skirts?
I'm reading a book by a male author who is usually very good at writing women, but I recently read a passage about a woman who is walking through under brush and she keeps getting tripped up by her skirts getting caught on branches. This really annoyed me. The character wears floor length dresses all the time and just spent months trekking across the wilderness in a dress. She's a smart character and I can't help but wonder why she doesn't just tie up her skirts and keep them out of the way.
I finds male and female authors who don't wear dresses often seem to think that they are incredibly restrictive. I wear dresses almost everyday. Usually I wear knee length dresses, but I wear floor length maxi dresses often enough. I find them more comfortable and feel I have greater freedom of movement than when I'm wearing pants. It's so irritating to me when a character who is used to moving in a dress acts like wearing pants is this sudden great freedom. If a person is familiar with wearing a

Questions About Fundie Women and Pants/Skirts
Okay, long story short: my childhood friend of over 20 years was raised in a "normal" Midwestern household. She is the only one of her four sisters to join the Fundie train. The rest all hold jobs and work; she does not. My friend met a guy at her Bible College, got married while still in school, started getting pregnant a year after graduation. Six kids later in 9 years, all she does is complain and hate her life. Her husband is controlling. I don't see her because I'm not Christian enough despite being raised in a Methodist church and attending a Lutheran college.
When we were still Facebook friends, I asked her on her social media why she doesn't let her daughters who are out making messes outside and hiking/camping wear pants. They would wear leggings underneath. Her husband chimed in and said it was their choice. He didn't provide a real fundie explanation of this viewpoint.
I see some Fundie Women in this subreddit wearing them. Others are strictly longer skirts or dresses.

AITA for telling a woman that I'd rather look like a granny in my skirt than dress like a prostitute?
Today, while walking home from work, I decided to stop by the blackberry patch that grew next to the sidewalk on the way to the apartment building I live in to pick some blackberries. I was wearing a long skirt that covered most of my legs, a tank top, and my hair was in a bun, making me look a bit like I used a time machine from the 1960's to travel to our current year.
While I was picking the berries, two women in their 20's walked past me. Both of them were wearing t-shirts that revealed their stomachs, very short shorts and lots of makeup. One of them looked at me with contempt, and said something along the lines of "How can someone wear a skirt like THAT? She looks like an old hag in it!" to her friend, loud enough for me to hear, to which, without much thinking (I went through enough bullying in my life and I don't want to tolerate a single bit of it anymore), I replied that "I'd rather look like a granny than a prostitute that just came back from the highway" (in my country, m

Finished this skirt last night! It is my first ever clothing item project and I'm so happy with it v.redd.it/sj0ptngz49951
My daughter's skirt was getting a lot of attention as I walked her to the school gates, which made me very uncomfortable.
To be honest, I thought it suited me.
Found my dress before COVID when we were planning a much larger wedding. Now it’ll be a 15-person micro-wedding outside on a mountain. I’m trying not to have dress regret, but is this dress too much for a more casual wedding? It’s a very full A-line skirt with a slight train.
Rage about women's pockets post. Those shorts had pockets so shallow I couldn't keep my keys in it, but there's plenty of space! I bought cloth bags and sewed them instead of pockets. And the bag like that also inside to the belt of the skirt. Who can sew properly, can do better, but this helped me.
I know Upskirt photos are illegal, but how about Up Skirts?
