i was depressed for a while and didn't take care of my skin now i have dead skin on my body that i don't know how to remove. any suggestions on how to get it off? It makes me a little insecure because it looks like I don’t shower but I do
This has been going on for some time now, I dont know what it is, but sometimes it itches like really bad, like to the point where I scratch my skin so bad it starts to bed any thoughts on what it might be?
I started itching about 7 years ago. Basically one day I wasn't itching and then it was like I'd fallen into nettles for 4 weeks before dying down to a low constant itch on my legs, top of my feet, arms, face, chest and scalp. I don't get rashes though, just flaking skin on my face.
But I also found I just cannot focus anymore unless I get very heavily into a task. My mind fuzzes and I just sort of phase out of problem solving. I think when I concentrate I notice the itching, so I've just eventually stopped concentrating to avoid it.
Has anyone has this issue and overcome it?
so for the past month or so i been getting these random very temporary burst of very itchy rashes the photo dosent show how bad it was. it reduces within 20 min or so the first time it happened was on my belly and itchiness lasted 20 min but stayed on body for a week those took long to go away next few times on forearm but disappears almost completely , happens on bed late at night but tried rubbing my skin specifically on sheet and pillows and nothing happens washed my sheet previously and continue to happen its possible that its food allergy cause i do eat at night but dont think i ate the same food when it happens and feel like its more internal because i didnt rub my forearm on anything specific for 30 min other than my sheets and lastly use the same detergent for longest time and this is very recent anyways i didnt rub anything on my forearm the rash sooth on its own within a short period of time but would like for the reoccurrence to stop any advice would be good

I have a small presentation Friday for work and have bad acne that’s gotten worse over the past few days. I have older marks and new pimples deep in my skin forming. I just took a bath and I’m not sure if I should use lotion on my face. I also have black heads 😡
What I’ve tried in the past: -Salicylic acid toner -benzocaine peroxide cream -lotion -many face washes. The most recent is a moisturizing kind. Previously used a clay type face wash with witch hazel. Made Achebe worse.
I’ve tried make-up to cover it up but I’m not good with makeup and it makes it look worse because my skin is dry so it ends up with a weird texture in my face. Kind of like cracked dry desert sand.
I’ve been wearing no make-up and using the moisturizing face wash in the shower and the acne is getting worse.
My plan is to do the homemade face stuff with the eggs and lemon to hide the blac... keep reading on reddit ➡
Thr skin on my hands is ultra dry and its cracking and peeling off. But its always dry and it never fully peels off. What's going on?
I notice that once I start using products for my face. I usually get even more pimples instead of less.
I think I actually am allergic to some kind of ingrediënt in those products. Does anyone here have experience with this?
I have this weird condition which only applies to my index finger. Every few weeks-months, it starts to get really dry and crack, to the point where it bleeds. I'm not sure exactly what it is, or if it's a fungus of some sort.
I was thinking of asking here, and maybe get some tips for lotions I can use.
Thanks in advance!
Hello, I’m new to this sub and wanted to see if anyone out there had a good recommendation for preventing aging and keeping skin young/healthy looking? I’m in my mid twenties. Thanks!
From working in medicine and having struggles with acne and talking to so many people who do nothing for their perfect skin.... I genuinely believe that skin is like 95% genes. I'm especially curious about Asians who don't do anything fancy for their skin, since people talk all the time about Asian skincare when it's likely just due to genes mostly.
I exfoliate and moisturize a couple times a week and don’t wear makeup pretty much ever anymore (even if I do it’s only eye makeup and lipstick, no foundation or powder.
My skin is somehow both super dry and oily idk how. What can I do to get a smoother texture and complexion?
I am an 18 Male, and ever sine I was 10 I had a spot of skin in my knee which used to change in color, sometimrs it's black, red or skin color and also changes in shape slightly, from big to small back and forth, take about 1-2 months to change in its appearance, what is it? Should I be worried?
I'd never had bad skin, then I turned 30, and my facial skin changed over the course of a week.
My cheeks are red and blotchy, they dry out out constantly and develop pimples.
Ive no idea why. Id been getting stressed in a new job, but thats since passed.
In addition, ive developed stomachs issues, and am waiting on results back regarding why.
I am a male, If thats important.

I want a healthy natural lotion for my skin.
it has been like this for 6~ months. by skin under my lip i mean the skin in between my bottom lip and my chin. whenever i clean my face, it always burns really bad right in that spot (even with gentle things like moisturizer.) the rest of the skin on my face can take a beating when it comes to things like rubbing alcohol for acne, harsh scrubs etc but the skin right under my lip suffers at the slightest bit of irritation (or even application of things meant to soothe it!) i'm not comfortable with posting a photo but it wouldn't be much help anyway, it looks the exact same as the rest of my face except right after i wash it, and even then it's only a little red since it gets irritated. when i touch it any other time during the day, it's a lot smoother than the rest of my face, if that has anything to do with it.
thanks to anyone who can help!
I have clear skin, besides every now and then I have the usual teenager acne but this morning i woke up with like colorless bumps on my left temple, I cant post a pic since it wont let me but if anyone knows whats wrong help me. Hi. I have dry skin, whats the best way to increase the body's ability to increase skin sebum? Thanks
Hi everyone, wondering if anyone has any advice.
I seem to have very translucent skin - the veins on my chest, arms, thighs, pelvis area are very visible. These aren't varicose veins or spider veins or veins you can get rid of. These are the normal veins in our body but for some reason my skin doesn't cover them up. I feel very embarrassed about my body because of them.
Does anyone have the same problem and any solutions?
Not looking for advice to reframe my body image/motivational posts :) would love practical solutions/tips. I've already tried fake tanning, Sally Hansen, body makeup. Veins still visible through these
In the past few weeks tips of my fingers have turned dry and scale like. This portion is sensitive and gets extremely dry and painful (if any ointment is not applied).
I’ve already tried a few creams but nothing worked so far (including urea-based cream).
So I woke up and noticed about 3 days ago that my skin’s texture’s different & SO oily. Bumps are everywhere (looks like tiny pimples) I would put in a video/ picture but won’t let me. Help???
Hello people of r/skin

26y/o, Male. I've always had a perfect skin, even tone, smooth, balanced, clean and elastic.
I've been traveling in Australia for 8 months now... I first travelled in cities for the first 5 months, and then went in the bushes and remote towns.
My skin routine is the same, but I'm experiencing more wrinkles, acne, redness, dryness, roughness, enlarged pores, eye bags, dark circles, spots, you name it.
My skin type is naturally oily but never had any problems with it.
My skin routine : Sunscreen daily. Peeling 2x/week. Facial washing daily. Moisturizing after washing.
Is it true you don't need to use oils on an oily skin? There was a time where I used Argan oil with shea butter and rosehip oil daily and my skin was alright.
Is there any difference between expensive creams and cheap creams or is it all branding?
Will using oils ruin my skin in the long term if my skin is oily?
How do I smooth it out back to how it was?
There are so many products on the m
My wife made shave my beard because the skin under was itchy and flakey. The beard is gone and it’s worse, plus I look like shit without my beard. So I got flakes, redness, and dry skin snowing down on to my shirt. I’ve tried everything I know. When I hard the beard I tried oils, lotions, softeners, butters, etc. without it I’ve tried every lotion under the sun, including anti fungus stuff. Any advice? Please. I want my beard back.
Since I moved out, my skin started becoming itchy and after scratching, big bumpy scratches show up as if it's allergic reaction that stay for 10-20min on my skin. What is it and why did i suddenly start having it? https://m.imgur.com/gallery/Uqt1ecF
Hey guys, I wanna try and improve my skin(care routine). I want to get some products from the ordinary, but I am not sure where to start.
I was thinking about my daily routine to be something like:
And then every 2-3 days an exfoliant with 2% BHA.
I also read good stuff about the red peel from the ordinary, so I like to try and do that every week to battle filaments.
Does this seem like a good routine and list of products? My skin gets quite greasy, has visible pores, filaments and few blemishes.
So in November I had an accident with an ethanol fire and my hands and face and ear were seriously burned.
I am almost completely healed now but I'd love some skincare product recommendations for preventing scarring and aiding with the healing process because I don't need to apply any of the antibiotic creams anymore and I'm just doing pure aloe vera and wondering what else I should be doing.
I have some very mild dark spots caused by acne scars and have read that raw potato juice helps whiten and even out skin tone, has anybody tried it? I rather use something natural first before investing in a $500 + cream that probably won't work
It’s been like this for 4 days now. I don’t drink alcohol/do drugs and didn’t cry either.
Could it be due to coconut oil?
I've been doing research and trying to find my skin tone, but I'm having difficulty. I'm pretty pale and I burn easily without sunscreen but I have both green and blue veins. They are separate and some are pretty clearly green while others are a blue-ish purple color. I also have blue eyes with gold flecks and dark blonde hair.
Hi, I'm a 26 year old man who never previously cared about skin or face. Now I'm getting pimples and dry skin a lot and want to know the daily basic routine I should use and if any specific product I should use. I generally just wash my face with soap.
What's your magical night time skin care routine that works wonders? I have a dry forehead oily nose and pimple prone hairline and I can't find anything that works for all of my face so if you can link some products that would help me that would be very appreciated
I have years of sunburn from when I was a kid playing outside and running track and cross country. I’m only 24 😪. The skin around my eyes is fine because of wearing sunglasses but it’s like this chronic redness. Now I always wear sun screen but looking if I can reverse or repair! Any treatments or home ideas would be appreciated!
