I’m still disappointed.

Hello HWS! And Happy Father's Day!
Edit 1: So I've had a few people ask about shipping worldwide. Since I didn't specify otherwise and being a Father's Day giveaway basically, I will be accepting worldwide entries for this giveaway. I will cover any shipping costs still.
Edit 2: redditraffler is choosing a winner and mods will be notified soon
Welcome to Giveaway Sunday #8! These giveaways shall continue until the COVID-19 pandemic has averted (as my wallet permits). Today's item is a set of Ripjaws V RAM as described above and is need of a new home for one lucky person. Thanks to Newegg, I was able to get this set of RAM for a good price and received it on Monday. I tested it to make sure it works fine but it has no use other than that.
This giveaway will run until 10pm EST on June 22th (~24 hours) and is to follow the guidelines established in this post [https://www.redd... keep reading on reddit ➡
I am pretty sure a lot of you experinced this and i am not the only one. On every team in every game there seem to be 1 or 2 players who frag out every game, hitting mostly headshots going 30/10/5 while the rest of the team seem to be getting destroyed with scores like 5/17/1.
Don't get me wrong, i am probably average at this game but i seem to have very unbalanced matches, and its not fun at all for both sides.
Having to frag every round because my teammates are playing their first shooter ever is not fun. And you are also moslty playing against one enemy who is decent at the game while his teammates are trash too...
Not only is playing like this frustrating because you have to perform all the time you also develop really bad habits from playing against lower skilled oponents all the time.
I won a lot of my unrated matches the last days but it doesnt even fell deserved from time to time, just because i have another good player on my team while every enemy is 2/7/1 after 10 rounds... keep reading on reddit ➡
Let me start by saying that of course self-esteem problems and poor social skills can coexist. But social skills are just that, they're skills. They need to be learned and practised. Kids don't all learn at the same rate, and it can be hard for them to clearly express the nature of the interpersonal problems they're having. Heck, adults struggle with that. My point is that sometimes when kids are struggling socially, they may need some coaching in their social skills in addition to a pep talk.
When I was a kid, I struggled socially because I talked way too much and wouldn't really let the other kids participate when we played together. When I asked adults why other kids didn't like me, they told me to just be myself, so the problem persisted. I don't know what the best ways are to assess social skills in children, but I think this is something to be aware of when we talk to kids.
Personally I'm sick of heavy-reliant RNG quests or just too easy quests, I've been expecting the quests to graduately become harder and harder, but intead the system cycled the same quests over and over and over time I started to loose interest
which is why, at first the final "bragging rights" quest for the Skill Elite Challenge seemed to me "over the top", however, I was surprised with how much fun I've had with it-
I wish Niantic will continue offer us some quirky quests as this one from time to time, they don't have to offer anything rewarding, just an excuse to play and discover new aspects of the game (less FOMO-ish)

Now that we have seen the addition of SBMM and it’s subsequent removal after 3 seasons, here’s my take on the experience.
I’m a relatively low skill crucible player. I struggled to make it to Heroic in comp to get Komodo and my Savior title. I made it there, but only barely, and only because of being persistent about the reset Glory gains from playing 3 games a week. Recluse and Mountaintop are decidedly out of my reach for the time being.
I played 2 seasons of Crucible in Y2, doing anything in my power to even stay afloat. DRB, Telesto, anything that could even give me a slight edge. In Season of Opulence, I made an effort to complete the Last Word quest that requires maintaining a 1.0KAD until the meter is full. I couldn’t even do that. My lifetime KD in Crucible was 0.42 at the end of the season.
Shadowkeep and SBMM hit, and I jumped into Crucible to try TLW again. All of a sudden, I was matched into games that I could compete in again. I could have primary gunfights and actual... keep reading on reddit ➡
I don't know why you answered an unknown number on the phone. Weird choice, but it worked in your favor: you get to add one new skill to 5e. What is it, what ability score does it use, and what classes need it the most?
Event is going live in New Zealand!
We're a little short-staffed this week, so we'd appreciate your patience if the main post takes a little longer than usual to reflect information in the comments. A lot of these pieces will be verified by the Silph Research Group, so throughout the post we'll use the formatting:

In addition to his standard power set, he's capable of any specialized type of bending exhibited by any bender across ATLA or LOK.
-He can bloodbend at any time of day like Amon -He can metal bend -He can lava bend -He can shoot explosions from his head like combustion man -He can generate lightning -He can heal if he has access to water -He can fly like Zaheer
Can upgraded Aang go toe to toe with the MCU's heavy hitters?
Round 1 - Aang will not kill and will only use blood bending as a last resort.
Round 2 - Kyoshi takes Aang's place and gets all the same upgrades. She is in character (aka bloodlusted).
Late again, mainly my fault on that one as I went to a party Friday and forgot about the post. Til next time I actually get it on Friday.
redditraffler is doing its' thing and will select a winner shortly and this time I'll actually type out who it was once the mods clear me.

Been playing a little bit since I was a teenager, but I've been playing guitar almost daily now for about 12 years. I've practiced theory and various techniques, and i feel I master it pretty well. I've also played in several bands and have had many live performances.. My issue however is that I feel that when I practice with my band, or play with other people, I get set back five years in practice value.. Suddenly I'm not able to sweep, play fast, clean and with creativity. My fretboard suddenly becomes new to me.. I mean, I can still play, but I feel like I'm set back five years.. Same goes if I am about to try a new guitar I am not used to, in a guitar shop or home at other people houses.. Am I nervous? I certainly don't FEEL nervous.. Sometimes when I play in front of people in an environment I'm not used to, I often find myself thinking "Oh man, they should have heard me at home five hours ago.. I was absolutely KILLING IT!!!".. As if I am losing my essence when I'm thrown in to a... keep reading on reddit ➡
I have been wanting to enlist for the 75th Rangers ever since I’ve been 11 years old. It’s my dream to don the Tan Beret and make my dad proud of me so that he’ll have no reason to be disappointed in me.
My mom on the other hand, has been using me ever since I was old enough to draw. I have been drawing since I was 3 and I enjoy it. Keep that in mind, because I’m going to tell you of all the things she’s done.
The first time I’ve ever been used by her, was when I was 7, she tried to get me into modeling, I was a mix of Asian and Scottish, and she believed that if I were mixed, they would be more likely to take me.
She mostly had this idea because she saw a French and Taiwanese couple make hundreds of thousands by putting their sons into modeling. Thankfully for me I overslept for the photoshoot which made my mom really angry and upset because she didn’t get to claim the cash I would’ve made for her to buy another expensive handbag.
An important thing here is that my m... keep reading on reddit ➡
How do you expect me to cook and eat an entire meal between matches now? This is a horrible change.
Weapon damage needs to not be baked into every skill and spell for every class like in Diablo 3. It homogenizes the feel of the classes and trivializes what could be, and should be, the most important itemization decision: "what weapon should I use, and what type of class am I?". Casters having a different metric to increasing damage, like +skills, makes the play styles and itemization feel different from each other with playing different classes and builds, such as casters or a melee fighter. Weapons should also have swing speeds or even different swing ranges, kind of like how Dark Souls differentiates weapons. This makes every weapon feel different, and trying out a slow 2-hander vs a fast 1-hander or a pair of daggers feels good. D2 had this as well. I shouldn't be running around with a giant mace (unless it's like a +skills mace that was made for casters) spamming Fireballs as a Sorceress b/c the mace has the most "attack damage" and that increases my Fireball damage. It's not fla... keep reading on reddit ➡
I started trying to improve my “game” as a 17 year old ugly high schooler. Fast forward 7 years and I have an active dating and social life. Here’s how I did it.
I started out reading “seduction” books and dated a couple of girls that were complete messes. The lines I used from the books only worked because their self esteem was so low they accepted any musky positive interaction they had from a man.
Then I started realizing that I had a lot of fucked up inner demons. I saw a therapist, I finally acknowledged I was obsessed with women and that was turning all the healthy girls off, and I realized I needed to learn how to actually relate to people.
I started reading ACTUALLY HELPFUL BOOKS. I read Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie and Vanessa Van Edwards.
I took responsibly for my health and focused on eating right and working out.
I started caring about what women go through. I began asking myself if those damned crazy feminists I always hated might have had some legitimate points (spoile... keep reading on reddit ➡
I posted this as a comment in another thread, but I wanted to make a new post in hopes that devs see it and know how upset many of us are.
I know that SBMM is to protect newbs and keep them playing the game. But what they don't realize is that by incorporating such an extreme SBMM system, you drive away your hardcore fans that have played since launch. These are the players that buy the battle passes and bundles in the store. I'm not great by any means. 1.1 k/d. Maybe 30 wins since launch. All my friends are similar. The past week or 2 has made us not even want to play the game. When we encounter MULTIPLE teams that have their loadouts within a minute of dropping and are beaming you relentlessly from 200 meters away. We have went from getting 8-10 kills per game and maybe 1 win every couple days to getting squad wiped within the first few minutes with barely any kills as a team.
This extreme SBMM will also change how people have to play. For example, my team and I HATE camping and w... keep reading on reddit ➡
