In a heated battle with a friend and would like Reddit to help settle this.
Mantis shrimp: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_shrimp
You pick your 10 college athletes. Here’s some info:
-The athletes get 1 week to prepare and learn how to scuba dive.
-the mantis shrimp gets 1 week with Rocky Balboa as a sparring partner.
Sorry if this has been asked before... but for some reason it just makes me so mad that if I wanted shrimp fettuccine some places leave the tails on. Like wtf I don’t want to dig through fettuccine sauce to take the tail off. How much more man power is it to take the tails off for all shrimp dishes that don’t warrant it?
I think it’s hypocritical to eat shrimps and lobster but think eating insects is gross. Shrimps are like little sea beetles. Crabs and lobsters are basically just giant sea cockroaches eating all the nasty shit on the bottom of the ocean. Yet people dip them in butter or cocktail sauce and slurp them down cold.
Give someone a martini glass full of cocktail sauce with some delicious beetles on the rim and see what happens. Bugs are basically the same thing as these crustaceans but are treated with total disdain, even though edible bugs are some of the most sustainable, healthy, and eco-friendly protein sources. They even taste the same when breaded, fried, and slathered in some mayo-based sauce.
