Now, Iβm not one to be a reactionary, like so many pro players nowadays, but after using the charge shotgun for a couple hours, I was finally able to get a grasp on the ins and outs of this weapon, and itβs not pretty. Let me explain.
THE PROBLEM
The charge shotgun is a weapon that is by design, flawed for fortnite. In any other BR, the charge shotgun would do just fine, but Fortniteβs core mechanic, (building) causes a huge problem. Fortniteβs meta involves making quick edits and taking quick peek shots at opponents. The charge mechanic fully throws this idea away, forcing you to have to hold your shoot button to even have a chance at dealing damage. This means that quick edits are entirely out of the picture, and you have to shoot without doing anything else. From my experience, this replaces boxfighting with a horribly boring game of cat and mouse, each player waiting for their opponent to edit so they can pre-fire, because realistically, thatβs all you can do. You canβt shoot people from long range, because theyβll just box up. You canβt psycho into peopleβs boxes, because theyβll shoot you before your gun is charged up. Therein lies the problem. The charge shotgun fills a niche that doesnβt exist. unlike guns like the combat, pump, and heavy, thereβs no situation that it would ever be beneficial to use it in.
HOW CAN WE FIX IT?
Option oneβ vault it. I find it so infuriating that the only way epic knows how to shake the guns up is to change the shotguns. The pump and tac should be untouchable, in my opinion. Theyβre too crucial to fortniteβs meta to be fucked around with. βIf it ainβt broke, donβt fix it,β is a philosophy epic has a really hard time with for some unknown reason.
Option twoβ keep it and bring back the pump. Sure, itβll clutter the loot pool, but itβs better than nothing.
Option threeβ Change the charge mechanic entirely. My favorite idea is to only have the gun charge when aiming down sights, kind of like the Peacekeeper in Apex Legends. This way, you can still take peek shots in boxfights but still have the option to charge it for higher damage. They could even change it so it functions like the peacekeeper entirely, with the range and damage potential becoming higher as the crosshairs shrink. This is my favorite option, and it could keep the gun balanced. A good compromise for epic.
I just want whats best for the game and Iβm so tired of seeing dumb shit like this every season. If anyone has any other ideas, comment them

Many people would be familiar with Rock Paper Shotgun. In its heyday it had the best writing about PC games on the internet and took a genuinely independent approach to covering PC gaming, often focusing on the personal relationship between games and gamers or aspects of the gaming industry not being examined by mainstream gaming sites.
Sadly, the site isn't what it was. Virtually all of the best writers have moved on and (perhaps not coincidentally) the content has gone off a cliff. Today the a decent chunk of the content is advertorials pushing hardware deals (with referral links), although these masquerade as hardware 'news'. There is also a hell of a lot of filler content that didn't used to be there, such as endless news stories about minor updates to games - stuff that used to be the domain of sites like Kotaku, while RPS wrote interesting long form stuff about the experience of gaming. They have also been doing hardware reviews for a couple of years that generally don't take any sort of systematic approach to reviewing performance and are something done much better on many hardware-specific sites.
Given Rock Paper Shotgun's decline into mediocrity, can anyone recommend an alternative? That is, a PC-only, or PC-focused gaming site focused on good writing about the experience of playing games, and one that isn't another cookie-cutter site churning out the same press releases as news and hyping the same major release games?
i canβt even begin to explain how mad i am because like 4 times iβve died off of spawn because my grey tac does 68 to the head and the other guy somehow finds a p90 and beams me into another dimension good lord this gun is dogshit
Everyone's going on about cheesing strength skill, but what about cheesing traders? There is no fucking way to spend 750k on Jaeger LL1 in any reasonable timeframe without just buying 150 axion cobra mounts and selling them to mechanic or some shit, he doesn't even buy them back. I know you can cheese it easily, but you shouldn't have to cheese it at all
thank you for coming to my ted talk
20-year-old Sharon Pope Dejesus and her younger sister, 18-year-old Lillian Pope, were last seen alive on the evening of December 13th, 1973.
Sharon lived in Gary, Indiana and Lillian lived in nearby Portage, but their places of employment were very near each other, and often times they would wait for one another after work.
On the night of the 13th, Lillian met Sharon after Sharon finished her shift at Calvin's Grill, a drive-in restaurant, located at 4701 E. Dunes Highway in Gary, Indiana.
Coworkers of Sharons reported to police that the two sisters left the restaurant to go to 12-20 Bowl, which was within walking distance of the restaurant.
They were last seen walking down Dunes Highway towards the bowling alley.
The following morning, a highway worker in Lake Station, Indiana doing routine checks on a sewage lift station, discovered the sisters laying side by side near the gravel road that led to the secluded area. The area was wooded, and a common place for people to illegally dump their trash.
Sharon was found lying in the fetal position, while Lillian was found face down on the ground just inches from Sharon. Police believe they were killed elsewhere and later dumped in the location they were found.
Both Sharon and Lillian had been shot at close range with a shotgun in the back of the head. Both of the women were beaten in the head and face, but Sharon had been beaten βbeyond recognition.β
The girls were found fully clothed, wearing matching red hoodies, black boots, and stocking caps. They were not sexually assaulted. Sharonβs purse was found next to her body containing cash, so neither robbery nor sexual assault appeared to be a motive.
Perhaps the most disturbing of all, both of the sisters were pregnant. Lillian was due to have her first child in less than a month. Attempts were made to save the baby who was at full term, but to no avail. Sharon was 6 months pregnant with her third child.
Sharons two children lived part time with her estranged husband, Douglas de Jesus, until she was murdered. Police questioned him, but never named him as a suspect. A short time later, he abandoned his two children and moved away. Sadly, in 1998 Sharonβs oldest son was shot in the neck and died. Her older son eventually moved away.
There were a total of 14 siblings in the Pope family, including Sharon and Lillian. From what I understand, their mother and father, Marilynn and Donald, were extremely abusive, and most of them ended up spread ac

I have 600+ hours of siege and thereβs many things things that only noobs do. Some have actual reason behind them others I think donβt have reason. Some of my R6 friends say that reflex on shotguns are nooby and bad but I donβt really see why so I came here to ask people who have more experience than me and my friends.
This loadout is all about speed. The greatest benefit using this over felwinter is the ADS and slide speed. It basically forced me to do a melee after every shot though, which is something one should do even with felwinters but it put it down my muscle memory with this loadout.
Does it work in comp? Well kinda, not high level comp but this loadout enhances so much your speed that if played correctly your positioning on the map is always top notch around the map.
I also snapped a monte carlo onto it too for more projectile melees... because why not???
Ok, so after they vaulted the combat, you had two very strong options for a shotgun: green-blue pump and grey-gold tac. Pumps were very strong in season x, with the blue version being able to hit for 200. Tacs were also really strong, with the gold version being able to hit for 195.
Itβs slightly more consistent because of shot package. Thatβs it. This isnβt the βFelwinterβs Reachβ of D1. Not even close. It consistently kills at 7-8 meters which is exactly what god rolled Astral Horizons and Mindbenderβs do.
This weapon being released is simply a balancing act so that ALL players can have a viable shotgun for the crucible without the mindless grinding some of us have done for godrolled versions of other shotguns.
So before you start crying that this weapon is βbrokenβ, check yourself. Itβs just another good shotgun. There might be an uptick in use since itβs new, but that doesnβt mean itβs the best or needs to get βnErFeDβ.
Edit: Clarity.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 05, 2020
The Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association (CSAAA) and the Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA) demand the immediate withdrawal of the flawed Order in Council. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister Bill Blair looked Canadian gun owners in the eye last Friday and said they would not take guns suitable for hunting away from us.
Minister Blair is either too inept to comprehend the scope of his regulationsβ¦or he lied to the Government and Canadians.
In the legal opinion of our firearms legal team β headed by Edward Burlew L.L.B., one of the foremost experts in Canadian firearms law β Blair banned almost every modern 12-gauge and 10-gauge shotgun in Canada with removable chokes because they exceed the maximum bore diameter of 20 mm as defined in SOR/2020-96.
It is estimated there 1.5 β 2 million of these common hunting firearms in Canada.
As well, many large bore hunting rifles β some more than 100 years old and valued at more than $100,000 have become prohibited. None of these firearms are semi-automatic or βmilitary style.β They encompass common bolt-action rifles such as the .460 Weatherby, break-open single and double rifles. These firearms are captured because the powerful cartridges they shoot β designed to humanely dispatch the largest game animals. PURE hunting rifles.
Canadaβs firearms industry body, the CSAAA, is advising retailers to top sales of βlarge hunting calibre, non semi-automatic rifles such as the Weatherby Mark V .460 as these rifles exceed the 10,000 Joules energy restriction.
Remington β 870 Express 12 Gauge Shotgun
Weatherby Mark V .460 hunting rifle Additionally, CSAAA advises retailers to cease sales of many 12-gauge or larger shotguns with removable chokes.β
Despite open hunting seasons across much of Canada, lawful firearms owners should refrain from using 12-gauge or larger shotguns with removable chokes or large calibre rifles capable or exceeding the governmentβs energy ceiling.
Those firearms are PROHIBITED and may not be used or transports for any reason.
Intentional likes or incompetent mistakes? You decide.
The Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association (CSAAA) and the Canadian shooting Sports Association (CSSA) demand the immediate withdrawal of the Governmentsβs flawed Order in Council and the immideate removal of Minister Blair from the Public Safety file.
