Friend got too drunk at the reception, ruined the after party.

We got married in Las Vegas and planned on heading to the strip or Fremont street after the reception.

On the shuttle bus, we realized a friend of ours got way too hammered. He actually fell off of the bus and had to have a group of our guests, including the groom, carry him to the hotel lobby.

He shit his pants while passed out on the hotel lobby couch, so we had our EMT friend checking to make sure he was breathing, etc. The entire group was hanging out in the lobby, and a couple of the guests went to shower him off in their room.

The rest of us went up to our hotel room (bride and groomโ€™s room) and were going to take a shot to get the night restarted, and suddenly the drunk guy and his gf come into our hotel. The drunk guy, passed out in the bride and groomโ€™s bed. ๐Ÿคข The gf said an Uber wouldnโ€™t take him, so they had no choice. I, the bride, was disgusted and tried to get him out but he already desecrated the sheets.

I didnโ€™t want to ruin everyoneโ€™s mood, so I got us all together and we headed out to the strip. After the whole shitty ordeal, everyone was pretty tired, so we headed back to our rooms and called it a night.

Our room smelt god awful and finally an Uber took him and he and his gf left to their clean room at a different hotel. We had to request new sheets, air out the room, and I still felt gross having to lay in our bed. The guestโ€™s room where he showered was covered in shit too, so there was no other option.

All in all, the drunk guy thinks itโ€™s funny and hasnโ€™t apologized. My now husband is still pissed days later. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Weโ€™re hoping the honeymoon gives us better memories.

2022 Tesla, NIO and LUCID -what to expect

Source: TheStreetTesla

After a rocky 2020 for the entire auto industry, electric vehicle sales rebounded in 2021 amid high demand for vehicles and a shortage of actual cars to buy. Tesla, to be fair, never really suffered the way many traditional automakers did. The EV-maker led by CEO Elon Musk found ways to keep vehicle deliveries at steady, record levels even as chip shortages caused some automakers to cut production goals.

Part of that, of course, comes because Tesla's overall volume -- while steadily growing -- remains much smaller than the higher-volume traditional automakers. But, it's a tribute to the company's innovation that it managed to grow despite a global chip shortage that impacted the entire auto industry.

EV rivals NIO and Lucid are in a much earlier phase of their journeys, but all three companies have major plans for 2022.

What Will Tesla Do in 2022 (and Beyond) ?

In the coming year Tesla will expand its capacity as new factories come online. The EV leader now has four factories online -- Fremont, Shanghai, Austin, and Berlin. CFO Zach Kirkhorn laid out where the company stands and where it's going in his remarks during the company's Q3 earnings call with investors.

"Over the last 12 months, we've done about 430,000 cars of production. And based upon everything that we know in the factory, where the bottlenecks are, what the potential is, we're targeting to increase that another 50%," he said. "I think that will be a difficult goal but that's the goal that the internal team has, and they're going to continue to push on that."

Tesla has ambitious plans to grow how many vehicles it can produce, according to its CFO.

"You know, we're trying to get to 5,000 cars a week as soon as we can," he said. "And then we'll continue to push beyond that, potentially even getting to 10,000 cars per week at those factories. And then we'll add Cybertruck here in Austin and continue to grow from there. So, you know, our goal is to get to millions of cars per year over the next couple of years and then ultimately, in the long term, be able to achieve 20 million cars per year."

Investors were already nervous after Walmart (WMT) raised the earnings alarm on Tuesday, but those fears were compounded yesterday as Target (TGT) upped the threat level by a few notches. Shares of the discount chain slumped 25% as Q1 results came in far from the bullseye, hammering the entire retail sector from Costco (COST) and Dollar Tree (DLTR) to merchandise haulers like Saia (SAIA) and Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL). Things then spiraled into a broad market selloff, with the Dow Jones plunging almost 1,200 points, and the S&P 500 and tech-heavy Nasdaq tumbling 4% and 4.7%, respectively.

What happened? The big earnings miss (and halving of profits) at Target was driven by a shift away from higher-margin goods such as kitchen appliances and TVs to basics like food and toiletries. Margins felt pressure from the consumer pullback as shoppers got selective about spending on goods. In fact, operating margins were reported to be 5.3% during the quarter, falling heavily from the 9.8% seen in same period last year and below the company's long-term goal of 8%.

Elevated fuel and freight costs also dented profits, with expenditures on those items now forecast to be "$1B higher this year" than Target management had previously estimated. Not expecting the swift change in consumer sentiment, the company further stocked up on too many discretionary categories, leading to a higher level of markdowns as quarterly inventory grew 43% Y/Y. "We did not anticipate the rapid shifts we've seen over the last 60 days," CEO Brian Cornell declared, adding that Target would "have some of the same challenges in the second quarter" as it continues to set prices based on "value and affordability."

Inflation nation: "Retailers are starting to reveal the impact of eroding consumer purchasing power," explained Paul Christopher, head of global market strategy at Wells Fargo Investment Institute, which has predicted a recession around year-end into early 2023. "The consumer's ability to spend is eroding at a faster pace than it was a month or two ago. We think that pace is going to accelerate further." (163 comments)

Blood in the streets

The market selloff (or bubble) is showing no sign of abating (or deflating) as U.S. stock index futures continue to stumble. Contracts linked to the Dow (DJI) and S&P 500 (SP500) fell another 1.6% overnight, while the Nasdaq (COMP.IND) slid an additional 2%. Worries are particularly intensifying with the S&P 500 benchmark index on the

West Coast Hitch (Part 4)

The plan was to get up to Seattle next so I caught a bus to the edge of the city and set myself up on the side of the road where I waited a couple hours until someone pulled over. My ride was another home run, as he was going to Seattle as well. He was an interesting guy who happened to be a geologist and I was told all about the history of Mt St Helens and the other volcanoes in the area. As we approached the Seattle area I got my first view of that monster in the clouds, Mt Rainier and was gut punched by awe. It felt too big, too imposing, it took up too much of the sky. I couldnโ€™t believe no one had ever sat me down and explained to me what an unbelievably massive formation it was and that I should prepare myself for a first viewing. I felt cheated somehow by my lack of expectation. I could hardly take my eye off of that wall in the sky as we pulled into town.

I immediately liked Seattle. Something about the setting, the energy and the overall vibe caught me quickly. Perched on the shore of the glistening Pugent Sound, adorned with shiny seaside skyscrapers and always lorded over by that soaring sentinel in the distance, it felt like a special place. I checked into a party hostel near Pikeโ€™s Place and then set off for a day of exploring.

First stop was an easy walk through the historic district, Pioneer Square, where I noticed a tour group descending a staircase that went below the street level. I followed them down and discovered the underground world beneath the streets. The guide didnโ€™t notice his stowaway so I quietly followed behind the group as we wound our way through the subterranean passageways. I learned about how the city had built raised streets in the late 1800s above the muddy roads of yore and over time the original ground floors of the buildings became basements and then eventually were lost to time. Some enterprising gentlemen rediscovered the underground city in the 60s and started bringing tours down there. It was a fascinating journey as we wound our way past old store facades and when we finally made our way back to the surface I slipped away from the group without anyone knowing I had secretly joined them.

I strolled through the small Chinatown nearby and bought a Chrysanthemum tea then had a look at the stadiums across the street before heading up to Capital Hill to get a look at where the nightlife would later no doubt take me. After a beer at a dive bar I charged ahead for the long walk to Fremont, which was billed as a

$MN.V The soon to be supplier for all of North Amerika

This is not Financial advise.

The Future of Manganese and who is going to supply it.

TL;DR : Manganese is a multi purpose metal. It is used in the mass production of Glass, treating metals and as of recent Batteries (think EV Batteries). As of now, pretty much all of the Manganese used in production in North America is coming out of China and South Afrika. There are no mass producers of Manganese in NA. This might change fairly soon though, because the Company Manganese X Energy has recently aquired 12.000 hectares of Land in Canada, near the American border, which is estimated to have 194 Million tonnes of Manganese underneath. As you can guess they are planning on constructing a mining facillity and become the main producer for Manganese in North Amerika.

Manganese X Energy

Currently they are a pre-profit Company and a publicly traded Pennystock, but that is about to change. The first drilling samples are supposed to get shipped out at or around the 25th of Octobre of 2021, as you can read for yourself in this Article: https://www.minenportal.de/artikel/449567--Manganese-X-Energy-Continues-to-Improve-Battery-Hill-Processing-for-Scalable-and-Cost-Effective-Production-of-High-Grade-Battery-Material-Critical-fo~.html

MNโ€™s Battery Hill property is approximately 6 km long on a north-south axis and approximately 1.7 km wide, east-west. The property is located beside the hamlet of Jacksonville and 5 km northwest of Woodstock, New Brunswick. Fairly local in Comparison to China and South Afrika.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_manganese_production

And looking at the Numbers of production rate Mnaganese X Energy is likely to outshine the competition.

"Brian Way (2012) reports that the area โ€œhosts a series of banded iron formations that collectively constitute one of the largest manganese resources in North America, approximately 194,000,000 tonnesโ€. (Direct Quote from : https://www.manganesexenergycorp.com/projects/battery-hill-project/)

On top of that there is a decent likelyhood of there being a link to Tesla : The key is in the Dahn name. MN (Manganese X Energy) has a Board Me

Surprises/Observations on First Weekend of lifted CDC Mask Rules

Interesting times indeed. Just got back home and here some notes:

Got to experience a fully โ€œAmericanโ€ Vegas (no or vanishingly few foreign tourists). Nearly everyone was REALLY young, both on Fremont Street and the Strip where I stayed (mostly spent between the Flamingo and Treasure Island). Plenty of different races of course, but everyone seemed to be from the US. Still it was PACKED WITH PEANUTS on the strip, especially at night moving along the escalators and raised walkways. Everyone seemed to be getting along. I saw and felt no aggression or harassment of any kind, really. It was packed, people were drunk, but very little belligerence. Kind of made me proud actually.

An OVERPOWERING weed and weed vape smell is now the official scent of the Vegas Strip and Fremont Street Experience. It gets in your hair and clings to your clothes.

Not sure if this would be normal, but I saw a lot of skin showing- many younger women in tiny cocktail dresses, super tight very short evening wear, short-shorts and halters... almost like an โ€œIโ€™m here, everyone is doing it, Iโ€™m gonna go for it since I canโ€™t get away with it at homeโ€ vibe (I was all for it and didnโ€™t see anyone getting harassed or even any special notice payed. Maybe this is how it always is but it struck me more obvious as there were no older people to counterbalance).

I got a RideRTC pass and took public transit all over- got to see some of the more sketchy neighborhoods, homeless camps, old motels that looked condemned and covered in graffiti but were occupied. Even then the vibe was still friendly with grizzled locals giving out advice and well-worn chestnuts like โ€œCome on Vacation, leave on Probation, forced to return on a Violation!โ€ However, compared to my San Francisco the homeless were much, much less visible overall. (The single heated confrontation I saw was a guy insisting the bus was $2, and not the $6 or $8 for 24-hour pass that was posted everywhere. He got thrown off.)

Did notice a lot of young people joyriding Rascal Scooters all over, even thru casinos. Again, normal? I assumed because there were few older people who actually needed them, they were available for this kind of use.

Casino staff wore masks, nobody else did. Iโ€™ve been fully vaccinated for a month now but I wore mine in Walgreens and CVS and in ride-shares, but not really anywhere else. My Deuce bus drivers didnโ€™t wear them so I followed their lead. Every casino had one or two tables with the plexiglass still up after th

Planning to put an offer between 1.25M to 1.3M for this SFH in Union city. We like the house and are only worried about K-5 school for now. Our son just turned 1 this august so we are looking to stay here for 10 years and beyond as long as middle school rating improves.

Am i overpaying ? Is it worth to pay this much in Union city or is Fremont better option for this budget?

RIDE: THE COMPLETE DUE DILIGENCE - Updated 6/2/21

RIDE: THE COMPLETE DUE DILIGENCE - UPDATED!

https://i.redd.it/ynbllt3l5iq61.jpg

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION, ORIGIN, AND BACKGROUND

Starting in 2015, a company called Workhorse began developing electric trucks. By 2018, Workhorse had built and sold 1,000 electric delivery trucks to UPS. Around then, Workhorse received an order of 500 electric pickup trucks from Duke Energy. The company had a crossroads decision of whether to develop large delivery trucks or smaller pickup trucks. The company decided to focus on large delivery trucks. Then CEO, Steve Burns, decided to open a new company in late 2018 to focus on the pickup trucks. For a brief period, he was CEO of both companies until he stepped down from Workhorse in Feb 2019.

Meanwhile, prior to 2019, the Lordstown, Ohio manufacturing plant was owned by GM and produced cars such as the Chevy Cruze, Cobalt, and Cavalier. It is a 6.2M sqft plant and at its height, produced 1 million cars per year. As those vehicles did not sell well, GM decided late 2018 to shut down the plant. Ohio is a very important political battleground state, and former President Trump promised to keep manufacturing open in Ohio; he threatened GM if they did not find a way to keep the plant open.

GM's solution was to sell the plant to an EV company, Workhorse, however the deal was delayed by the united auto worker's union. Eventually in Nov of 2019, the plant was sold to Steve Burn's pickup truck company.

The plant was purchased for $40M as a loan underwritten by GM. In addition, GM invested $75M into the pickup truck company which now took the name: Lordstown Motor Company, which will be abbreviated as LMC for the rest of this write-up. Workhorse owns 10% of LMC, but in exchange, LMC has the right to use all technology developed while Steve Burns was at Workhorse.

By June of 2020, LMC unveiled its working prototype pickup truck: the Endurance. The Endurance is unique from other electric vehicles because it uses hub motors as the drive system reducing the number of moving parts which is believed to increase reliability. These hub motors were created by the company Elaphe. LMC has exclusive rights to the pick-up truck size version of these hub motors in North America and produces the motors in their factory.

Then in October of 2020, LMC completed a reverse merger. This merger raised $675M for LMC which now trades under the symbol RIDE.

Y'all will probably appreciate this

I figured I should post this story after reading a comment on the Fremont CO post.

I'm in Western WA, in a more or less rural area. Like the Walmart is 15 minutes away and there's a city bus stop down the street, but it's the last one on the line and my neighbors are separated from my property by a pretty dense set of woods. Now we get our usual suspects of woodland creatures. Owls, coyotes, the peacock that got away from it's owner. I've grown accustomed to and enjoy the night time sounds of the woods. I always open the window if I hear an owl hooting.

Earlier in the day the local army post was doing heavy firing drills. I mean they were sending everything they had down range, and where only a couple miles from where it all impacts. So all day it was boom, boom crack crack crack.

That night I'm on the phone with my girlfriend, sitting on the back deck while my mom and dogs are inside. I have her on speaker, and I'm talking fairly loudly. It's been quiet, everyone is inside and it's quiet. Then I hear it, and my heart stops. It sounded both animal and completely unnatural, like tin sheet metal is being ripped like a piece of paper, and yet guttural like the roar of a cougar. Its quick though, lasting only a second, not too terribly loud at the moment either. I stop talking, and look right in the direction. I say to my GF be quiet. A few seconds go by and it's happens again. And again. And again. Rapid successions of it, each time getting louder till it feels like it's surrounding me. Finally I reply with my own roar. My caveman instincts kicked in and I yelled. I grabbed a weak flashlight I had, and was yelling "Fuck off! Fuck off!" With the light I could see two small pairs of eyes. I run inside and grab a much more powerful flashlight that reveals the eyes to be racoons. Two absolutely terrified racoons. They'd climbed a tree like how they do when my dogs chase them, and they were shaking. Something had chased them. Now I mentioned the shelling from the fort earlier, and this t h i n g came from that direction. I will link the comment I mentioned as well and they had mentioned Nisqually, again same direction. My person theory is that the noise was too much and it decided to flee the other direction, and I don't blame it. I'm usually a big fan of big booms but that day it was honestly excessive. I haven't heard it since, and any noises my neighbors have made or any of the local animals sound nothing close to it. But shit, it sends chills down my spi

Then in October of 2020, LMC completed a reverse merger
