Seaplanes Thailand - this might be a stretch but, you canβt win if you donβt play!
My fiancΓ© and I own a successful flight school in the USA and we visited Thailand in feb 2020 before covid came to destroy.
We were surprised that Thailand does not have a general aviation community, and itβs almost nearly impossible for travelers or expats to rent aircraft to fly around. We both consider Thailand our ideal place to move, as we love both the country, people and culture.
We talk about opening up a seaplane base which would make traveling to all the multiple islands quicker, comfortable and scenic! Not to mention create jobs!!
Iβm looking for any and all connections out there within the Thailand tourism community who might see this dream as possible as we do, and I am inviting anyone who might have connections, ideas or the opportunities to bring something like this to life! βοΈπβοΈ
Is there an issue with seaplanes or am I just missing something? I was trying a Pan Am run from 1930 onward using TAP v2.14 and couldn't use the Boeing Clipper or Consolidated Catalina, etc.
Came across this game at random and have enjoyed trying it out.
Anyone have a PIREP? https://lakehavasuseaplanes.com/
My bucket list includes a Commercial SES Add-On. Seems a little expensive (>$400/hr for a 172+CFI), but maybe it's awesome.
Any tips on building one? I wanna build it with props if it was possible
I remember loving this game as a child, but I canβt seem to find it anymore. In this game, you fly a red seaplane for the postal service as a blue-haired boy. You are supposed to deliver packages all over a steampunk-esque fantasy island. Later on in the game you also visit other places like crystal caves and Chinese looking mountains. At one point the city is attacked by giant flying warships, and there is fire everywhere. I also remember that the blue-haired boy had a mentor resembling John Hammond from Jurassic Park? Maybe someoneβs got any ideas?
