Long story short, my dog got ahold of a cooked bone. A big ol’ ham bone. She obliterated it. After some Googling, I found that you should immediately give them bread.
I shoved bread down her gullet until she looked like she was pregnant. My vet commended the move and said with how much bone she ate and how much had splintered, the bread saved her life. And if not her life, it saved me from having to pay $3k+ for surgeries. A $3 loaf of bread saved my dog’s life. Crazy to think about.
Why YSK: From my understanding, the bread “absorbs” the bone and keeps it from puncturing anything by essentially padding it. They may still need surgery to remove any big or sharp pieces, but it’s better than needing additional surgery for a puncture.
You of course should still bring your dog to the vet asap, but all she ended up needing was some x-rays and pain meds. A shitty situation ended better than it could have.
Edit: THIS ONLY APPLIES TO COOKED BONES
Edit 2: Also bird bones are never good.
As the titles says, just ordered a 3090 vision from newegg thanks to a stockdrop notification. The thing is, I am mainly only a gamer. I was wanting a 3080 but by the time I get those notifications they're out of stock, and with the price hikes even some of the 3070s are $800! What do you guys think? Should I cancel the order and be a bit more patient or bite the bullet? On a side note, I typically upgrade/build a new pc every 5 years.
Edit: It's lookin' like a keeper! Thanks for the replys :)
Which means if it goes over, your save file will get corrupted. This essentially means you can't craft, collect, and do everything in the game like any other open world RPG. The devs recommend not collecting a bunch of items and pretty much not crafting a ton. Beat the story and start over. This is bullshit and should be brought to their attention by a ton of people so they can sort this out ASAP. They said they MIGHT raise the size higher.
What the fuck?????

Not just zoom, most other softwares/apps have this “push to talk” feature. This will make sure that you explicitly press and hold a button of sorts to unmute yourself - reducing the chances of leaving yourself unmuted without your knowledge.
Hi! I’m Adam Moelis. I'm the co-founder of Yotta Savings, a 100% free app that uses behavioral psychology to help people save money by making saving exciting. For every $25 deposited into an FDIC-insured Yotta Savings account, users get a recurring ticket into our weekly random number drawings with chances to win prizes ranging from $0.10 to the $10 million jackpot. Even if you don't win a prize, you still get paid over 2x the national average on your savings. A Freakonomics podcast has described prize-linked savings accounts as a "no-lose lottery".
As a personal finance and behavioral psychology nerd (Nudge, Thinking Fast and Slow, etc.), I was excited by the idea of building a product that could help people, but that also had business potential. I stumbled across a pair of statistics; 40% of Americans can’t come up with $400 for an emergency & the average household spends over $640 every year on the lottery. Yotta Savings was the product of my reconciling of those two stats.
As part of building Yotta Savings, I spent a ton of time studying how lotteries and scratch tickets across the country work, consulting with behind-the-scenes state lottery employees, and working with PhDs on understanding the psychology behind why people play the lottery despite it being such a sub-optimal financial decision.
Ask me anything about lottery odds, the psychology behind why people play the lottery, or about how a no-lose lottery works.
Update: Wow, I’m blown away by all of your questions, comments, and suggestions for me. I’m pretty exhausted so I’m going to go ahead and wrap this up at 8PM ET. Thanks to everyone for asking questions!
Basically if you craft too many things. Seems to be effecting people with a lot of hours who have been crafting loads of shit to make money, but how's this for a response from CD projekt : https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016743298-Cyberpunk-2077-Saved-data-is-damaged-and-cannot-be-loaded-?product=gog
"The save file size limit might be increased in one of the future patches, but the corrupted files will remain that way."
Basically what the title says, I’ve bought botw digital 2 years ago and I absolutely love it and want to buy a physical copy one day. If I insert the game cartridge what will happen? Will it delete my previous files? Sorry if you’ve had this question a million times I just want to make sure. Thanks
Edit: wow some great bean discourse in the comments! I’m going to point out two valid qualifications to this post people bring up.
The landlords will just think you're lazy and never bothered to replace the old ones.
Edit: It's more of a convenience thing than a money thing for me. I always forget to buy bulbs when I'm out and about.
