Saint Nicholas Owen built Priest holes in England during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I , they were designed to hide Catholic priests from persecution under the English crown
When they found out and captured him and they tortured , they attached a chain to his hernia and ripped it out when they noticed it was bulging after all the torture.
Would you say it's wrong to pray to him since he was essentially martyred by Anglicans and clearly had an opposition to them?
On a side note he is from Oxford where i think someone mentioned the Anglo Catholic movement is from though !
Also i know Saint Thomas More was definitely not a fan of the Church of England

Hello fellow travelers! I want to share with you a series of connected dreams and experiences that really amazed me. When I was young I wanted to do AP so bad, and with the years the urge decreased. Recently I've been dating this girl, who is some kind of natural in regards of AP, doing it involuntary since she was a child. We talk a lot about spirituality, and her impressions of the astral plane matched tremendously with my experiences (I'm into high magick so I had my share of experiencing) and readings. One day she told me that some people told her in her "dreams" that when she was young she catched "Saint Nicholas", as it was some kind of desease. We researched, but the old Saint Nicholas from Bari, the face of Santa Claus, didn't really make much sense. A few days later I had a dream where I was heading to "Saint Nicholas" (there's a town near of where I live called that way). The next day I started doing AP almost with no effort (the vibrations, the buzz, everything came to me). Doing more research we found that St Nicholas was, in fact, Nicholas from Tolentino, a spanish priest who lived in the year 1200 and was the patreon "of the souls stuck in purgatory". Watching some paintings and reading some stories, it became clear that St. Nicholas could do AP, as we can see here
I wanted to share this with you people, as it's a story that still amazes me!
