One of the most frustrating things that happen when you play sage is everybody thinks your a healing SLAVE. It doesnt matter if someone get shot in the toenail for 3 damage, they gota BEG sage for a heal for at least half the round until you realize that Sage muted you 15 mins ago and plus already used the heal… And then , because sage sometimes waste heal on USELESS player like: Rana, and Pheonoix (who BEGING half the game even thogh they Can heal them selves, ) you got people like Cifar, Oman, and brime stone(whos Got to much games on his ipad Anyway) takeing a full prime vandle magazine To the face, and crawling out of Mid and paralized from the waist down, who gota wait another 45 seconds for sage to Heal them.
Well… I have a solution for this: Let sage give out BAND AIDS to people! They should cost maybe $7.89 for a full pack and your alowed to use it when someones crying for a heal after baiting half the team and takeing 4 chip damage in the process. Then, sage can save the heal for the actual crippled teammates
Heres what bandaid ability would look like:
As you can see, the Rana gets bandaid while Sage still got her heal saved up!
Last month I accomplished a lifelong goal of buying a home all on my own. I have been living in a frankly shitty apartment for four years while I've saved up for my down payment, so the house has been an incredible upgrade.
I have a friend Gwyn who is very witchy/spiritual/superstitious. Personally, I am very certain that there is no such thing as the supernatural, which she is aware of, but I give her plenty of space to do her thing and I don't rain on her parade.
Gwyn came to visit me for the first time in the new house over the weekend and I was giving her the tour and everything, like you do. She tells me that the house is amazing (yay!) and she is going to do a quick cleanse for me by burning some sage (huh?)
She explains that she burns sage to spiritually/energetically cleanse a space. I say okay, that is fine but this is my space and I don't really need or want a cleansing ritual performed. She says "Well if you don't believe in it and it's not real to you then what difference does it make if I do something for myself to feel comfortable." I say "Because I just don't want it" and basically ask her to get comfortable here the same way that she does with any other space where she isn't allowed to burn sage.
Now she is upset because according to her, I should not care about anything that would not affect me as a non-believer. To me that comes too close to the "it's just a splash of water" argument for baptizing babies against a parent's will, and I just think that since I respect her beliefs as far as her own stuff is concerned, she can respect my space by not insisting on performing rituals there. Part of me knows that I could just prevent an argument by acquiescing, so I'm not sure if I'm being an asshole here.
More and more people are playing Sage or at least accepting the fact that she is coming back into the meta, but for some reason nobody wants to play smokes. I don't have a huge problem playing Brimstone/Omen but most of the time I feel like I'm supporting players who are not doing their job since they are insta locking duelists..
Hello! I hope you're all as well as can be during this stressful time/cycle. First--This is NOT a troll post. I usually stay on the Black/URM admission subs because of some of the hostility (towards URMs) I’ve seen here but decided the benefits of posting in here for future Black/URM/Reverse Splitter applicants would outweigh any vitriol I'll inevitably get in my messages/these comments. And, that there are enough good people here to make it worth it. I don't plan on using this Reddit much now that my cycle is almost over, so I'm willing to die on this hill.
For future reference, the date is March 22nd. I'm a URM (AA) who only applied to HYS this cycle. I applied relatively late (January) and those were the only schools I was comfortable taking out significant debt for. I decided if I didn't get into any of them during my mini-cycle, I'd just retake the LSAT, drill games, hopefully secure a 165+, and blanket the T-14 next year. Ideally with admission as a reapplicant or with significant $ elsewhere in the T-14. My stats are 4.x/15low (1 take)
7 Sage gave me a 0% chance at each school I applied to. You read that right. 0%.

A: Yale, Harvard
Received the call from Dean Ingber around a week and a half ago. And my interviewer from Harvard called me today (KJ1 Feb 18th).
I think I could've been admitted to at least a couple of more T-14s had I applied--potentially with decent scholarship money.
I recognize how fortunate I am to be in this position, especially in this extremely competitive cycle. I'm incredibly, incredibly grateful, to say the least. Some folks here will trivialize my acceptances and say I only got in because I'm URM, and that's fine. URM/nURM applicants with stellar stats alike have been getting denied from these schools all cycle, but I don't have the time nor the energy to argue. I just thought there might be applicants in the shadows who are on here & don't have stellar LSAT scores/stats who might really be inspired by this post in the future. I also don't think this sub has a good grasp on how unpredictable URM cycles really can be. I received advice here to retake & reapply when I posted in January, but thankfully my professor and a few other posters on here told me to shoot my shot.
I'll gladly disclose my softs/background through PM if anybody is interested, but they were nothing Tier 1 (not a rhodes scholar/family aren't alum/donors). I was engaged in service work t... keep reading on reddit ➡

So here is my take on Omen. Viper, and Sage lore.
Omen (Fred) and Viper (Dr. Sabine) could've worked togther before the "thing" happened and caused Omen to be what he is now.
Omen and Viper are pretty close. To which Viper calls Omen an "old friend".
What if Fred (Omen) is actually a shy, akward, nerdy before the first light (or before "the thing" that happened that made him a "shadow") and maybe Viper is really really protective of him because her personality is quite strong. This is based on the knitting Omen and well.. the bitchy Viper. lol
We know that Sabine (Viper) used to heal others
5.Viper got secrets while Omen have truths. (based on their VC) "Don't die here, Sabine. I need your secrets."- omen "I wonder what's inside of their Omen. What truth is he keeping from ours?"- viper to enemy omen
Viper has secrets right?
Turns out that the word Viper does not only pertain to the snake BUT ALSO to a person who cannot be trusted or a spiteful back stabbing person. This can imply that in the past, Viper could've betrayed someone. (Perhaps she betrayed her old self who curse people and joined Kingdom, thus turning againts her oath as a doctor who saves lives and uses the knowledge to kill instead.)
VIPER HATES SAGE AND HERE IS A POSSIBLE REASON WHY
"This is what I trained for!" -Sage (she trained to be a soldier?? a healer?? or both. I believe she trained AFTER she failed VIper and OMen that's why she is pretty strict with herself? Like she commands almost everyone.
"I wasn't strong enough before... but now, now I am strong enough for us all!" and after training and getting her confidence she acknowledges that she can contribute a lot to the Valorant Protocol even to the point that she is Second in Command (Brimstone is the Leader)
"Sage, you're the only one who can keep us alive. Don't fail us now like you failed me then." -Viper to Ally Sage
[Last Kill] "That's payback Sage."-Viper to Enemy Sage
Speaking of the Valorant Protocol, note that Brimstone, Viper and Omen are the first 3 agents who joined the Protocol. I guess Viper and Omen joined for Omen's "healing" and for Viper to avenge the loss of everything in her life. "Let's take from them, what they took... keep reading on reddit ➡

Starting Loyalty: 2
Looks like Strixhaven is starting off fast with Kasmina returning as a Quandrix colored Planewalker. Her reverse Bolas effect seems interesting for superfriends which I'm sure she'll fit right into.
Replying to the quality shitpost posted earlier today, the bandaid idea is good and all, but if you think about it, you can ping your ultimate status ("My ultimate is not ready/My ultimate is almost ready/My ultimate is ready"), so when Sage taps her Heal key when its on cd Sage should say something similar ("My heal is almost ready" or something). Yes, you can press Alt and see if Sage's heal is on cd or not, but that neat trick doesnt help you if you are the one playing Sage and your 4 bronze teammates doesnt know about it.
Thanks for coming to my Sage Talk
For the love of all the witches out there, please stop spreading misinformation about the status of white sage. White sage is not endangered. It's not on any watch lists. Trafficking anything illegally is a crime - that's not specific to white sage. No one here is saying illegal harvesting is okay.
This issue came up because of panic blog posts several years ago. It's misinformation and keeps getting spread through social media. There are plenty of companies doing conservation efforts so native white sage can be left alone. There are also plenty of companies that are growing it themselves and harvesting it for sale to other companies and the public.
Here's legitimate government sources showing it's not endangered or on watch lists.

Check the items you get from the Cloistered Scholar and Sage background, or the component items from the Scholar's Pack, and you'll find something interesting- a 'small knife', called out explicitly in Cloistered Scholar as a penknife. So... why do these equipment lists, which are mostly filled with stationery equipment like paper and ink and quills, contain knives small enough to not count as daggers?
Simple. You use the penknife to cut your pen. ...Out of a feather.
When people actually used quills to write, none of them ever wrote with a feather freshly plucked from a bird or something silly like that. No, quillmaking was an involved process that any scribe tended to be familiar with, since quills weren't exactly as durable as modern pens. (Link to a video on how it's done here.)
If the tip of your quill were broken, or it got gunked up with some bad ink, your response was to obtain a new quill. And that meant cutting it. With your penknife. (Edit: Or, alternatively, as pointed out by people in the comments- thank you- you just cut a new tip on the previous quill, and save yourself the time needed to dry the feather.)
As an aside, the Scholar's Pack doesn't give you a quill to go with your penknife- it instead gives you an 'ink pen'. Now, the most period-appropriate response may be to just say 'a quill is an ink pen' and have it be a quill, but that 'ink pen' could also be a dip pen, which was the immediate successor to the quill- although that brings to mind the question of 'wait, why do you have a penknife again?' After all, wood and metal are far more durable than a feather.
Then again, if you ever lose your pen or it gets damaged, I suppose it's always handy to have a way to obtain a temporary replacement quill.
