My dad always did this to me and it made me never want to leave my room and walk by him. Making seemingly small comments like, “look who finally came out of their cave” can be taken as being shamed for staying in their room which makes them leave their room less often to avoid the shaming.
My sister and her boyfriend recently broke up because she’s pregnant and keeping it and he wants her to get an abortion. Apparently she doesn’t want to stay in his house anymore or he kicked her out(not entirely clear which), because she’s asking to stay with me.
Well I have a 2 bedroom apartment and my girlfriend and I sleep in separate rooms, so there’s no bedroom for her to stay in. I told her she would have to sleep on the couch and she said that would be “unacceptable” like she was making a hotel reservation.
I told her to fuck off and find another place to stay then and she got pissed and said she couldn’t believe that I wouldn’t sleep with my girlfriend for my own sister. That sentence is making me laugh now but I still told her to find somewhere else to go. My parents are now getting pissed at me because she has no where to go.
Edit: she’s like 2 months pregnant, the sofa isn’t going to kill her
Long time Reddit reader, first time making an account because i am currently stuck in my girlfriends room while she and her family are having dinner downstairs. I haven't eaten since morning nor showered and I need to take a shit.
Back story to this morning, since the lockdown for covid 19 happened, I haven't seen my girlfriend for over month plus. Our government recently relaxed the quarantine so we are allowed to go out but not loiter. Woke up to my girlfriend's call around 11am saying that her parents went out to get something. I thought okay I'll come over, return her a camera I borrowed and maybe we can sit in my car around her neighbourhood and hangout awhile. It was a little rushed as her parents just left her house as I left mine. I'm about 20 min away from her place. She assured me her parents will be out for at least 1 and a half hours as they need to get lunch. I drove as fast as I could and picked her up from the front of the house and we drove to park nearby to hangout. A... keep reading on reddit ➡
It's been a long night/morning and my main advice is: when babysitting/taking care of someone else's dog, do exactly what they say.
My best friend went out of town to assist his dad back home and asked my fiancée and I to take care of his pitbull, Bruno. Bruno is a chilled dog but extremely playful. He gets along well with our little labrador AT (pronounced 'ay-tee' not at) and they're always playing around. Bruno usually sleeps outside when he's with my friend so he cautioned us to do the same overnight and gave us a chain to use on him since he likes wander.
So last night my fiancée woke me up saying that Bruno is whining outside. We go outside to check on him and he didn't look to be in pain physically but he didn't seem to enjoy the chain around his neck. Since we're avid dog lovers and too soft, we decided to take the chain off(1st fuck up). While I was still taking the chain off the hook, I assume he saw AT staring from the sliding door because he immediately jolted up and spr... keep reading on reddit ➡

Okay so first off I want to thank everyone who gave me genuine advice. I saw some people saying that he could’ve mistaken my sister’s trainer bra for a sports bra, I don’t see how that makes it any less inappropriate. Also my sister’s trainer bra is like 3 times smaller than my bras. But anyways I told my mom that I found my underwear under my brothers bed, I didn’t tell her about her and my sister’s bras. She decided to wait for my dad to get back from work, so we waited until he got home. Once he did my mom told him about my underwear and they both went to my brother’s room to talk to him. My dad was calm but my mom was really mad. She demanded to see the box so my brother showed them the stuff. I could tell my mom was in disbelief. My mom saw my crusty thong and my little sister’s trainer bra and started screaming at him.... keep reading on reddit ➡
My daughter in law, Katy, is currently 37 weeks pregnant with my first grandchild, a baby girl. I really love Katy, her and my son have been together about 6 years now and I have a good relationship with her, but we’ve recently come to a head on this discussion.
Due to COVID, the hospital Katy plans on delivering her baby in has a one birthing partner limit, and instead of choosing my son, she chose her mother. My son claims that they had a discussion about it and he was okay with it, but I think it’s completely inconsiderate of Katy to deprive my son of this incredible experience. Sure, her mother is her support system, but so is my son. Katy is also an extremely insecure girl, and has said she doesn’t want my son seeing her in that much pain and discomfort, which having 3 babies myself I do understand, but I do not think it’s good enough reason to not let my son see his baby being born, it’s his baby just as much as hers.
They come round to my house for dinner once a week, usual... keep reading on reddit ➡

"...a TOE TRUCK!!??"
Happened a few years back. I was a summer camp counselor for a camp of about 60 kids and before every meal, we sang a sort-of prayer song. One of the songs was "Rub-A-Dub-Dub". It goes like this, "Rub-a-dub-dub, thanks for the grub, yaaaaaay God".
Every night before dinner, a few counselors run up to the front of the room, choose a song and then lead the group into song. I ran up with a few co-counselors, ready to lead the group into "Rub-A-Dub-Dub". Instead of just saying, "Alright we're singing Rub-A-Dub-Dub tonight", I try to come up with something cute and fun to let camp know what song we're doing. Instead of something cute, I yell, "ALLLLRIIGGHHTTYY EVERYBODY LET'S RUB ONE OUT".
Everyone goes silent. The other counselors sitting with their campers just stare at me open-mouthed. I have NO idea what I've done wrong. I look at the counselors next to me who don't know what to do and we awkwardly lead the group into the dinner song. As soon as we're done I run over to my phone and... keep reading on reddit ➡
I don’t know if this is the right subreddit to post this on but I’m going to post it anyways
So almost a year ago one of my bras went missing. I didn’t give it much thought and eventually forgot about it. Well, over the course of this year another bra, three panties, a thong and a bikini top have gone missing. I started to get worried someone had broken into our house. I forgot about my missing underwear and for a couple of months nothing else disappeared. That was until a few weeks ago when my mom mentioned to me that she couldn’t find two of her bras. Fast forward to two days ago and I’m in my brothers room looking for batteries for my tv remote. He has this large cardboard box under his bed where he keeps random stuff so I figured he could have some batteries there. As you can probably guess, I did not find batteries but instead found a bunch of women’s underwear. I immediately recognized my red bra that went missing almost a year ago, as well as my black bra that disappeared a fe... keep reading on reddit ➡
My son and his wife are expecting their first child next month, and of course my wife and I couldn’t be happier about it. This weekend my son was helping me with some yard work (6 ft apart) and we started talking about the delivery. I asked if he was nervous, and he said “I am nervous for her, but kind of relived I’ll be in the waiting room.” I was dumbfounded and he said that when he and his wife discussed it, she expressed that she would “highly prefer” having just her mother in the room, but that she “of course” wouldn’t stop him if he felt strongly about being there instead, since due to the virus she can only have one person in the room with her. He insisted he was “indifferent” about witnessing the birth and wanted to respect his wife’s preference.
I explained that this is not ok, he needs to be there! He got frustrated with me and said that his wife is a “private person”, that she’s very close to her mother, and that she says she’ll be “best comforted by someone who’s already d... keep reading on reddit ➡

I’m 21m and my sister is 18f. The day my sister turned 18, she moved out with some friends and they all share a small apartment together just a mile away from us. I however stayed because my college was close to home and i wouldn’t waste much on living expenses.
I started giving my parents money for rent, electricity and water, and I buy my own stuff that i need like laundry detergent, groceries, etc.
Four months ago, my sister came out and told us she was two months pregnant. My parents were obviously disappointed but they hid that from her and offered to help in any way with the baby. And they’ve been doing pretty much everything. They’ve gone out and bought baby clothes, toys, a bassinet, bottles, blankets, everything.
Now because my sister lives with other roommates, she said she can’t have the baby there with her and her boyfriend and convinced my parents to let the baby live here since she’s less than a five minute drive away from us. My parents agreed with no argument even... keep reading on reddit ➡
I was doing my homework like the good boy i am while he busted inside while holding a plate with 5 tiny pieces of grilled meat. "EAT EM FAST" he said. I, without a question, put them all in my mouth and proceeded to eat them. He than gestures to his pocket (he had a fabric flap with velcro that covers the pocket opening). I though he had more meat there. He did not. He said "you can wipe your fingers on this". I proceed to wipe my fingers then he leaves, right after he told me "don't tell anyone". Someone would think that's weird but it's pretty normal for my papa to do this, he is indeed a goofball. This is 100% real btw.
Edit: as a clarification, he was in a hurry, the rest of the meat was still on the grill and he also made a joke by asking me to not tell anyone.
So my mom and step dad have been dating for a long time, like at least 7 years at this point and got married about 10-11 months ago. Me, my mom, my step dad and 3 step brothers all lived in an apartment for a bit. The youngest 2 shared a room and me and the oldest shared a room. I split time with my mom and dad, I am at my dad's for about 1 week at a time so its mainly always been at my mom's rather than at his. About 5 months ago they bought a 4 bedroom house, how they were going to do it was that they get their room, me and the oldest share a room and the younger 2 share a room while the spare room becomes a play area where a TV was going to be put in.
I was NOT happy about having to share a room, cause I frankly don't like him and why do I need to share a room when there is another room literally wide open. They wouldn't budge when I asked nicely, and I straight up told my mom that I will live with dad full time if she makes me share a room cause then at least there I would g... keep reading on reddit ➡
ICYMI, my MIL came over to my house while I was at work last week. We don’t get along and husband and I were previously NC. Apparently that is no longer the case for him. The children told me MIL open my bedroom door. To stop her from ever doing this again I installed a WiFi door lock. You have to have the app to unlock the door. There’s a keypad but the code is 6 digits long and since husband just lets MIL do whatever she damn well pleases he can’t have the code. It’s not that I don’t trust him, but I know she’ll find some way to weasel the code out of him. Lo and behold, she came over to the house yesterday while I was at work. First thing the kids say is “my mom put a door lock on her door so you can’t go in there anymore” and she asks how I know she went in there. The kids told her that they told me. She proceeds to tell the kids she is disappointed in them and that they should have kept that a secret from me. She also told them I’m a psycho for installing the door lock. I told the... keep reading on reddit ➡
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a little girl and I’m absolutely ecstatic. I was told at 19 that I was infertile so to have this miracle come along is just an absolute blessing and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been with my husband, the father, for just over 3 years.
The issue comes with his mother. She is possibly the most overbearing woman I have ever met. I’m almost positive that in her mind her son is still 12 years old. I got on with her great at the beginning of our relationship but after we moved in together she was at our house literally every single night, and wouldn’t leave until about 10pm. She also talks to me as though I’m just an incubator for her sons child, sometimes she’ll just talk to my stomach without even acknowledging me which feels so dehumanising. She and my husband are very close, but I feel as though I have no time alone with him because she is constantly there.
I honestly don’t want her in the delivery room when I give birth but my husba... keep reading on reddit ➡
What are your expectations for the song?
Okay this happened a while back (around a year ago) and has recently been brought up in a conversation with my friend, him insisting I was an ass hole for it.
Background: my friend (m 20) asked me (f 20) if he could throw a party with his friends at our house. We decided at that time to live together since it was easier for us both financially and we worked in the same place and occasionally had shifts together so we'd drive to work together.
He mentioned that friends of his friends would also be coming, I was very reluctant at first since A) I wasn't a big party person, which I later decided I'd spend the day at a friend's and come back later, then B) that someone would go into my room.
I had a lot of valuables in my room, including very valuable paintings I made. (I make and sell paintings for some side cash) so obviously didn't want anyone there, but even besides the paintings I just simply don't like people in my room, a private space, when I'm not there.
So he suggested I lock... keep reading on reddit ➡
