First of all I want to say that im not calling for the resin system to be removed but if it isn't sped up than Mihoyo needs to implement some relevant non resin end content. Resin can be the main method of progressing effeciently but why does the end game as a whole need to be shallow just for it?
Some ideas I had that could be interesting
Monthly chest/puzzle respawns (half loot, no gems)
Increase mora/xp from kills, making it a good use of someones time to play the open map
Dungeon loader 15-20 minutes long randomly generated
Adding more areas but giving us nothing to do at them afterwards almost feels like a huge missed oppertunity. Non resin content should exist and not just for the sake of rewards but to experience more of the game for the many of us end game players.
The Resin economy is planned out well in advance. Most every Gacha game does this and the few that don't like GFL don't have a Resin equivalent.
MiHiYo has a specific expected progression rate, and a specific amount of Resin they want people to have. Too much Resin and we progress too fast and thus aren't perpetually on the loot treadmill. Too little Resin and we drop off the game because there's not enough to do. The goal of the developers is to keep us playing and to keep us grinding to upgrade characters. Whales no longer having reason to buy resin refreshes is lost money.
Many of the original players are hitting AR50 and many whales are at AR55. At this point Resin income from AR stops almost entirely. The battlepass change is meant to compensate for the Resin those whales would be getting from AR. Pretty much every Gacha game out there hands out more and more stamina as more and more content is added and players burn through the free resources. This isn't the company listening, merely them implementing a change so that their intended progression rate is maintained. That's why it feels so slim. It's just numbers tuning to keep the value where they want it for whales.

Edit 1: So it's 60 resin upon purchase then 40 every day for 30 days.
In comparison, Welkins is 300 genesis crystals upon purchase and 90 primogems every day. Which is enough to let you do 1 resin refresh (60 resin) per day (not counting the primogems you get from doing commissions).

TL;DR at bottom
After hitting WL6 at AR45, being able to spend my saved up Fragile Resin felt amazing. I had around 30 Fragile Resin piled and it took me around a week to plow through almost my entire stash (saving a few for in preparation of the new Dragonspine relics, shoulda saved more tbh), but after running low and eventually running out of Fragile Resin, the game forces you to become increasingly strategic with how you spend your naturally generated origin resin because of the limited resources needed from leylines, bosses and domains.
But being at AR 50 now, Fragile Resin comes so far a few between that I feel bad even thinking about using them when I get rewarded only 2 for achieving an Adventure Rank, which takes around a couple of weeks now. Refreshing Resin via Primogems is out of the question for so many players that want to save up for characters they want, while refreshing resin by means of Fragile Resin is almost sad for how few are earned through a player's natural playtime at higher Adventure Ranks.
This is why I suggest putting a Fragile Resin in the rewards of completing Daily Commissions, so players can store for the days when they need them, or use them that day to get some extra playtime for domain and boss rewards.
There are a few more points I could really get into that have been pointed out here already, like how Weekly Bosses should not be limited AND cost Resin to obtain rewards, it should be one or the other, and of course, multiple posts saying the resin generation rate should be changed to 1 Resin per 5 minutes(as MANY other gacha stamina gauges do), and I whole-heartedly agree.
TL;DR- A Fragile Resin should be added to the Daily Commission rewards so players can enjoy playing the game a bit more comfortably. This would be a huge quality of life thing for all players, and of course the other resin suggestions(1 Resin per 5 minutes/No cost Weekly Bosses) are very much wanted by us as a whole. I just wanted throw in my suggestion into the "Resin-Problem-Solving" post collection. Thanks for reading!

That 180 resin a week towards bosses could be used elsewhere especially considering this leyline event coming up. Won’t have enough resin to go around
Have been playing since launch, i've only got one dvalin plume which my jean and diluc desperately needs cuz they're my main. They're still sitting with 6/6/6 talents. Diluc has one though.

Prototype drops feel like rumors at this point. Weren't they supposed to be the savior of F2P players for weapons ? Adventure exp ? i mean im AR52 so i dont even care about it.
Ascension materials are bullshit too, im just getting 4 fragment per boss and from random elements i might not even need. Worlds bosses drop better ascension materials when it comes down to.
Weekly bosses are already gated by being weekly, plus we need to spend a shit ton of resin for it. Making it gated by 2 things already.
All i want is at least exchanging talent materials between same bosses. For past 8 weeks i didnt get anything that i have a single use for. Well, except for stones maybe.
I'll start this off by saying I'd consider myself a whale. Not the spend thousands each week type of whale but I've dropped money to pull every limited 5 star that I've wanted so far.
The only gacha game I've had experience with before Genshin, was Fire Emblem Heroes. Now, I've heard this isn't a great example of the genre but there's one key thing about it that I think is super important for a game that revolves around making players pull for new characters. That is that in Fire Emblem Heroes when I pulled a new character it never took me more than a day to have them leveled up.
Now in Genshin we have the Resin System as well as the less important Artifact luck. These 2 things mean that no matter how much I'd like to grind, spend my own time to level up characters, in the end, I'm time-gated and have to pick and choose the characters I'll have built.
Despite being a whale, I like to have fun in my games. Back in Fire Emblem Heroes, I would spend a lot of resources and time building units that were considered sub-par. Since I pulled for strong 5 stars I had the freedom to mess around and try out lesser-used units. I've done this a bit in Genshin as well, with the new Cryo Artifacts I built a lvl 90 Kaeya which was probably the most fun I've had in a while. But after building him and testing him out, I was just left with a bittersweet feeling knowing I didn't spend that resin on one of the previous 5 stars i pulled for that I haven't had the resources to build like Klee or Childe. I'd love to build characters like Noelle or Sucrose which i both have at C6 but I've been spending my resin for 2 weeks now trying to get good artifacts for Ganyu.
And to bring it all back to the event, now I'm being told that if I didn't have these 4 different units leveled up, that I'm going to have to sweat my ass off for non-maximum rewards is like a kick in the ass. Today's Geo Hypostasis really drove that home because it seems like it's gated behind shield units of which I don't have any leveled. I don't usually like to rant and have mostly just accepted that Genshin is the way it is. But my usual playstyle for Gacha games is to certainly level up every 5 star I pull and after that level up a bunch of lower character. And to see this event, which seems to favor that playstyle, while Genshin Impact has actively made it impossible to play that way just feels like they're spitting in my face.

I went all in and pulled Ganyu. Yay, happy, right? Well then I started trying to bring her up to par with my team and world level. I don't mind having to farm the things I need to make her strong, but I can't even do that, because EVERYTHING you need is gated behind resin. I've even been doing some gem refills for resin and it's still bad. I even finished every single quest currently in the game looking for more mora and books, and it's not enough.
I know I'm beating a dead horse here, and the community has lots of ideas as to how to remedy this. But I was just wondering if others end up feeling more frustrated than happy about pulling new characters. Its making me reconsider how I use my resources regarding banner pulls.
Drop rates for artifacts, mora and exp in the open world are a joke - even at AR52.
Resin from 24h of waiting is gone in 10 minutes.
Mining isn't exactly an entertaining mechanic.
Abyss stages are a 1-time thing each cycle.
Getting rid off resin would fix these issues, but that's not what I want to focus on. What I want to focus on is how great a Borderlands style arena mode would be, which keeps throwing waves of enemies at you - and rewards you accordingly. I enjoy combat in Genshin Impact, but in the open world challenging combat is sparse and Abyss is plagued by gimmiks that aren't always fun - and Abyss doesn't help you with getting resources to level new characters or improve those you're already using.
I really wished for an arena mode with repeatable rewards, experience, mora - maybe random artifacts and leveling up materials. Something that allows you to enjoy combat, test new teams and builds.
As much as I want to love Genshin Impact, each day that I log in, I feel like mihoyo is pointing a big middle finger at me once resin is out. I'd love to experiment with different characters, builds and artifact setups, Genshin Impact can really be a bummer.
I know it doesn't fix the resin issue and its sorta ptw but man these extra fragile resins are a godsend. I feel like it's a step in the right direction. I know mihoyo praise isn't popular here but I just had to give them props especially after almost creating a resin monthly pass. Hopefully in 1.4 they increase the condensed resin limit.
