For quarter 1, my IB Sports Science teacher wrote: β"Conscientious student. Does not complete assigned work." What the fuck? I donβt know. Her own statement negates itself... I had a fucking surgery so??

Does anyone have a general learning skills comment for how a student did with e-learning this year? I can't seem to put my thoughts into words.
Hi, so our school has asked teachers to write report card comments for this term.
Problem is, the school has decided to carry on with the online teaching-learning, and I havenβt seen the students for one whole term. Other than their academic areas, I have only limited idea about the studentsβ progresses on areas such as social, emotional, physical, etc.
Things get confusing for me since I was told NOT to write anything academic related on the comments, whereas it was the only area I have better understanding of.
If you were me, what would you write for the report card comment?
I hate writing report card comments. Some kids are easier to write than others, but for some I can't find anything more than "at least they showed up".
Hi,
I found my elementary and middle school report card and wanted to ask if any of these comments sound familiar:
P.S: Sorry for the long list!
Just wanted to know if any of these sound familiar in-terms of your own report card comments.
Thanks:)
Iβm looking for a report card comment bank for k-12. Can anyone help out by chance?
Greetings friendly folk of reddit.TL;DR: I am a teacher and want to imput high medium or low for various subject strands and have a final comment automatically populate from comments elsewhere in the spreadsheet and based on the marks I had imput, and have the final comment automatically select and replace the gender pronouns based on a given gender and student name.
-I am using the most recent version of excel and am definitely a beginner. I doubt this would take long for an experienced user, but all of my attempts have failed and I think it is easier to explain my issue here.-I will need to do this during reporting periods as a teacher. Our current program takes absolutely forever to do anything and I cannot populate data for multiple students at once. This will help create a foundation from which to edit.
I want to be able to enter student information such as name, gender, and either H for high, M for medium, or L for low into the various columns for a subject. I want to be able to enter a name for their best project. Once this is done I want to be able to enter a variety of comments into a separate area (in the case of this spreadsheet I used columns O to R) and have it auto populate their final comment (in this case column M). The problem is that I would like to be able to enter <he/she> or <his/her> or etc into my comments in the columns PQR and have the final subject comment to automatically replace to the right word based on the gender in column B.
If I am able to get rid of columns I to L, that would be great, but the current code I use to populate column M (for their final comment) is =H2 &" " & I2&" "&J2&" "&K2&" "& L2
It is the replacement of <Name> to their actual name and the <he/she> based on gender information that I am not able to do with my limited knowledge of excel. All previous attempts have failed. Thank you.
Hello! Do you guys have any go to websites or resources to write report card comments? New teacher here, who has spent way too much time writing comments last trimester.
Thanks!
I'm just curious, because I've never quite had this issue before this admin, how highly scrutinized are your progress report and report card comments?
I teach elementary, and we are required to turn our comments in early for both progress reports and report cards so that a coach can review them. They are very highly scrutinized and there are a couple of times in the past two years (that's 14 rounds of this so far) where I haven't had to make corrections, but the vast majority of teachers have to change things to admin's liking every single time.
Our principal is a notorious micro-manager, but the extent to which we are wrung out about comments seems ridiculous. First we are asked to show this, this, and this so that it's documented, as well as what we are doing to help the student in those areas, but we can also be told that the things we include should probably be taken out and just mentioned in a conference. It's inconsistent and frustrating. It feels like we're not trusted to determine what needs to be said about students and their performance.
Does anyone else face this level of scrutiny over comments?
