Is it just me or has there been an increase in fast food restaurants and drive thru’s where the card machine asks you if you’d like to give a tip? Of course, my broke ass is going to give one, but I feel like it’s not the same tipping environment that we’re all used to, such as a haircut, or sit-down meal.
Do I still let her go on summer camp field trip to theme park tomorrow?
She’s always such a super sweet girl and we have a very playful relationship (I tend to overcompensate for her mom’s lack of interaction), but it’s never vulgar like that.
I was trying to help her fix her doll’s earring (was slightly asymmetrical!) and said she’d just have to make do for now. She then blatantly mouthed the expletive, then lied about it. Needless to say, I pulled out of the drive thru at first chance, and she’s having leftovers for dinner. I scolded her quite a bit on the way home, and told her no field trip.
I’m never sure where to draw the line. I don’t want to be a hardass. I also don’t want to spoil her and raise a disrespectful young brat. Her mom is virtually useless with coparenting, and has never been available or accessible (interested or capable) for any type of important conversations about child-rearing.
Only child. Parents not together. Could use an outsiders perspective on this….
I've witnessed multiple accidents and near misses happening at this 3 way traffic light area. I am wondering if anyone has noticed this too?
The cause for some of it could be because of careless drivers and most times it may have been the cause of a malfunctioned traffic light algorithm.
Not sure if this issue has already been raised and If I were to do it I don't think I'd be able to as I don't have a solid proof / evidence captured during the multiple times I've witnessed it.
I'm just writing this to let everyone know to be extra extra careful around this area. Thanks. :)
What other things do guests do that irritate you to no end? 🤣
Looking for a hand wash not drive thru machinery
If for example their rewards points doesn’t match up to the number on file, they yell in walgreens. Another example was that I didn’t check for her prescriptions and she yelled at me and told me I dont have eyes. Other people say we are not going to loop around. People over the phone yell at me if they don’t get their medication. And for the drive thru the line should not be smaller, they yell me show and attitude.
What do you think I should do? Is it really the job for me or does it happen to everyone at one point in their professional career?
Okay, so I was having a bad day. Went to starbies where the wonderful ladies drew a smiley face on my cup and called me pretty. Highlight of my day. Went to KFC to get my dad food. They had my card for a significant amount of time. Like 5-7 minutes while my food was cooking. Didn’t think anything of it. I got off a 12 hour shift, look like shit, and smell like the blue collar woman that I am. Apparently, the kfc guys working thought my rats nest of hair, Edward Cullen (but sweat not diamonds) glistening forehead, and current body odor of a 14 year old boy who sticks his head under the sink to shower after gym class was inherently attractive. Guy gives me my card, smiles, and says have a good day, i took x item off of your receipt because of the wait. I’m thinking to myself “wow. These fast food workers are such a godsend today”
You must be thinking that that’s all? Unfortunately, this is where horny infects a teenage boy and he decides his balls are gonna drop today.
So im driving home, and i get a snapchat add, new followers on instagram, and a DM.
KFC bro took PICTURES OF MY CARD (with my name on them) and searched me up to shoot his shot like devin booker(he failed miserably). I told him i am in a WONDERFUL relationship, and respectfully, im gonna end the convo & show my bf the thread because I don’t ever want him to feel like he can’t trust me, even though he never has. he says the ol “just cuz u got a goalie doesn’t mean you can’t score” shit, & I block him. Before the blocking, he carries on about how we could be friends & I’m really cute. I shut the shit down multiple times. Turns out, the dm I had was him, the snapchat add was where we had this conversation, and the new followers are his fellow coworkers. I can handle that just fine. I deal with catcalling & pickup attempts a lot since I am at college.
However, the pics of my card thing is really irking me. I’m cancelling it asap & getting a new card. I’m going in later or calling the manager since there was nobody else there other than me and the dude plus his similarly aged male coworkers whom all seemed to be talking about me.
Fuck you KFC. Love my Starbucks ladies <3
My newest Jack in the Box was within walking distance so I couldn’t justify driving to it just to drive back 5 minutes later when walking would’ve taken less time, my only recourse was to go eat at a location that has outdoor seating but that area got taken over by druggies the moment it starts getting late each day so it wasn’t a full time solution… fast forward to now and I’ve found out there is a location on the next town over thats doing dine in again! imma go there first thing tomorrow 😤
Stopped into the McDonald’s on High near Weber around 10:30 last night. Pulled up to drive thru speaker and guy says “which service?” or similar. I start my order and he cuts me off, saying “if you’re not food delivery we can’t help you” and after a little back and forth I find that this asshat is serious and I had to leave foodless. Fck you Mickey Dicks you’ve seen my last order you giant asshles.
So I work at Dunkin’. It’s the Fourth of July and I was asked to work a 6pm-11:45pm shift today.
At night there’s only two people who are working, so usually we’re both busy cleaning, stocking, making coffees, and taking orders. Well while I was taking a man’s order at the drive-thru today out POS system signed me out. My coworker was doing dishes so I was making coffees by myself and then rushing to the window to collect payments.
The man asked for a medium iced with cream and stevia with toasted almond flavor shot. Not hard at all, but then the system shut off. I quickly input his order so I could charge him but it switched places with the order of a man behind him who ordered a similar drink, just an extra ¢10. I didn’t notice, and charged the first man for the second man’s order. He asked for his receipt and he drove off.
I give the man behind him his order and out of the corner of my eye I see the same first man on the tv above my head. So I thought I messed up his drink. No big deal, it happens.
He told me he was up charged and wanted a full refund. The only tricky part is I need my manager’s system numbers to give a refund. So I had to call my manager with the man at the window, blowing smoke from his cigarette in my face. I got the numbers, input his order and did the return, somehow, I don’t know how, it still left off the extra ¢10 he was charged. After I made sure he got his payment back on his card, he told me his coffee was wrong, too, it wasn’t almond falvored and that I needed to fix it. No problem, I already messed up and want to be in his good graces, better remake the drink.
I pour the coffee out and immediately I’m hit with the smell of almond, so the guy completely lied about his drink being wrong. But I remake it exactly how he asked, I give it to him, ask him if he wants/needs anything else, and up until this point I didn’t know he didn’t get his ¢10. I thought he got a full refund. So he looks me dead in the eye and tells me he’s going to call the cops. That I’m robbing him. (And technically I was, I just didn’t know it!) So I say I can’t give him another electronic refund because it’s only ¢10, but I gave him the ¢10 out of my tip because I obviously needed to make this customer happy.
He seemed okay after that, coffee and ¢10 in hand, and then he asks for my name, while looking at the bottom of the receipt where the review QR code is. At this point I’m scared to make him more angry, or that I’ll get in trouble with my bos... keep reading on reddit ➡
