Just posting to raise awareness since it seems like a lot of people are still wondering why PB had its damage reduced.
Edit: I'm glad I could start a bit of a discussion here, but please, remember to be kind to Cozmo. I'm sure the Community Managers are doing the best they can, and saying things like "why did you lie about the Cosmodrome" isn't exactly going to make Destiny 2 any better.
Disclaimer: I am not a tax expert. This is just my retarded brain trying to think through this idea. Iβm also not the first to propose this idea. Just remember I canβt read so I didnβt see those other posts.
For those that have made mountains of sweet, sweet tendies from the GME ππ, I am wondering if the income tax increase that many of us will realize this year can be reduced by also helping our Tendiemaker directly. This is more specific to Itemized tax filers. If you file Standard, this will only benefit up to $300, which would still be a big deal if tons of us did this up to $300. Itemized filers can deduct up to 60% of their AGI.
Edit: it was brought up that the $300 deduction only applies if the cash donation is given directly to the charity. Iβm not verifying it, but it sounds plausible enough.
Edit 2: As u/whitemarshian points out, a better alternative to this strategy could be to donate the shares directly to a donor advised fund. I had not considered this strategy, but this also sounds like good shit. Maybe someone could expand upon this thought and put together another post exploring this?
SUPER EDIT: As u/MichaelVicksPitbull points out, buying gift cards will show up on the balance sheet as Unearned Revenue. This increase in liabilities would be offset by the increase in cash from purchasing the gift cards, so there isnβt really a net advantage for GMEβs financials until the gift card is redeemed. This would be an unlikely benefit for Q4.
So here it is. Everyone fortunate enough to be aboard this moon shot heads over to their local GME before 1/31, and we collectively buy what amounts to hopefully millions of dollars in GME gift cards. We take those gift cards and donate them to The Ronald McDonald House or a local Childrenβs Hospital (St. Judeβs is well known, but I would suggest keeping your donations local to help your community) for them to buy electronics for their patients and patient families. My wife works for a Childrenβs Hospital, and there are many βentertainment areasβ packed with electronics throughout the hospital where sick children get a chance to escape the fight and reality of being sick. This is also an extraordinary relief for young family members of patients and parents as they can be occupied while their sibling or child undergoes tests or procedures or whatever.
We would be giving revenue a huge shot in the arm whenever the gift cards are redeemed, give GME tons of cash to end Q4, and by donating the gift cards t
... keep reading on reddit β‘All the above mention companies are reporting a reduction in short interest in GME but do the numbers work out? I understand volume on Friday was ~50M, but could the majority of that volume really be shorts covering?
I understand short interest is all estimation until the real report comes out on the 9th, but for all the companies to report this individually seems like it might have some weight.
Thanks again in advance.
Disclosure: Not a financial advisor, also long GME.
This update is honestly one of the single best decisions bsg has ever made. I have been running my normal mid range 50-65 recoil weapons and it's actually a night and day difference. I can full auto people at range and semi auto way easier without my camera flying everywhere which used to make 60 recoil feel like 100. This change has genuinely revived my enjoyment. It means I no longer have to run a meta low recoil build to have a gun feel good to shoot.
P.s. anyone who didn't like the mcx due to its recoil. With the update it feels butter smooth to use.
First, let me say that I am an intensivist and an investor. I have treated a lot of ICU patients with COVID since this pandemic began. Full disclosure, I own RLF and BRPA and firmly believe VIP/Zyesami works.
Today, phase 2/3b IV trial results were released. It is clear that the market failed to understand the gravity of these results. A market sell off occurred because people thought the trial was a failure because survival at 28days was not statistically significant and because the results failed to address the primary end point of resolution of acute respiratory failure.
You see, the patients who are admitted to the ICU with severe respiratory failure, requiring NIPPV, HFNC or mechanical ventilation are often in concomitant multisystem organ failure with multiple comorbidities of advanced age, poorly controlled diabetes, ESRD, heart failure and obesity.
These patients are critically ill and admitted with acute respiratory failure. They are kept on high flow O2 and NIPPV (BIPAP/CPAP) for as long as possible to decrease ventilator associated barotrauma which has been demonstrated to worsen overall survival in COVID induced RDS.
When patients land on the vent, they are worse now than they ever were a year ago when the pandemic first began. This is because, in the beginning, we were afraid NIPPV would aerosolize COVID and cause a larger spread of the disease. As such, now, patients are kept on HFNC and NIPPV longer than ever. Thatβs why ICUs are full and remain full. These patients have a tenuous respiratory status and can decompensate at a momentβs notice.
The average length of stay for an ICU COVID admission is 25 days. Decreasing ICU length of stay for HFNC and NIPPV patients by half is huge. I cannot say this enough. The average ICU stay costs $5000 a day. Improvement of ICU hospitalization by 15 days vs. 26 days is an average payor (private insurance/Medicare) cost of 75k vs 130k. Thatβs a savings of 55k per COVID patient.

The fact that Zyesami is safe, furthermore, cannot be overlooked. Let us compare these results to the current standard of care. In the NEJM article, Remdesivir for the Treatment of Covid-19 β Final Report, the median time to recovery was shorted by only 1 day with overall disease cour
... keep reading on reddit β‘It's really worrisome seeing some of younger generations from anarchist community willing to cast drug users aside whenever they answer to the question of what to do with drug users, dealers or smugglers, etc... with the blunt answer of "rehabilitation", "ban them all" or "remove them from the community" without even listening why the problems are there in the first place. What's even the difference between these 'solutions' and the ones enforced by the State? This society want people with addiction removed from their sight. Our existence is to stay invisible from the society. It's better if we die with a needle in our arm, just another statistic.
Sorry for the rant. Were there major writings on addiction, drug, harm reduction and alienation of why people do drug? Modern or historic writing would be great. Thanks.
Hi All,
Wanted to check in and see if anyone has advice on tax reduction strategies they have found useful. Am approaching 1M/year in income as a self-employed solo practitioner, and gonna get killed on taxes obviously. So far I do 57k to the SEP, but other than that, not much else. Am considering a defined benefit plan as my paralegal will be eligible this year for that. Also, considering buying an apartment building or commercial building to do a cost segregation study to accelerate depreciation and offset taxes?
Anything you guys use that you think might be helpful?
Thanks!
Yes I understand you need to get high as quickly as possible but there's a few things you need to know before that...
No, we cannot tell you what to buy. You need to decide yourself.
Yes, you need a fucking scale. No, 0,1 g accuracy is not enough.
No, we cannot tell you what powder it is based on color.
100 mg is different than 100 g.
No, a depressant doesn't make you depressed.
There are no chemicals without any side effects that you can take for work. Except clonazolam.
Yes, there is dopamine left in your brain even if you can't concentrate.
10 mg is not an allergy test.
Yes, you can take psychedelics casually without becoming a shaman and moving to Peru.
Stop taking advice from random strangers like me.
before i start, let me say that i love kratom. i use it daily, i believe others should utilize it more as well but that doesnβt mean iβm not going to try and promote the responsible use of kratom like any decent person would do.
i (and countless others iβve talked to) have had posts and comments removed from r/kratom or have even been banned simply for advocating for responsible kratom use.
i actually recall the description of the subreddit stating that itβs a place to SHARE TIPS. is simply stating that there can be side effects and trying to warn others to be responsible so that they donβt ruin this plant for themselves really that horrible?
do the mods there realize that they are directly hurting the image of kratom by pretending itβs 100% non-addictive and literally censoring harm reduction? do they realize they are potentially keeping people in the dark about vital information regarding kratom? do they even care?? because it really seems like they donβt.
just because they donβt want to hear it doesnβt mean they should suppress the truth because by doing so, theyβre harming innocent users of this plant who fall victim to the ideology spread there about kratom being 100% safe for everyone to use all the time. (yes i know itβs safe in comparison to many drugs, that doesnβt mean itβs safe for everyone to use daily at high doses or that it canβt result in dependence)
TL;DR: the mods on r/kratom censor anyone who mentions any of the possible negatives of kratom or anyone who tries to help others use it responsibly. there is a culture there of promoting addictive and unsafe behaviors and censoring any logical dissidents.

At first I thought this was going to be a nightmare to test for various reasons, but a few surprises actually made this one of the easiest things I've ever tested.
Armor reduces a percentage of an enemy's ranged damage rather than reducing the damage taken by a constant number.
The damage reduction percentage increases per armor linearly and varies depending on the enemy's level.
Melee weapons completely ignore armor.
Status effects from enemy attacks or quickhacks also ignore armor.
Even with infinite armor you still take 1 damage per hit from guns.
Level difference is a factor for how much damage you take. With armor not changing, fighting enemies at level 30 and then increasing your level to 50 reduces the damage you take.
The surprise I mentioned: All enemy attacks (melee, ranged, quickhacks) do a fixed amount of damage rather than a range of damage like we do with our ranged weapons.
This is an example of how I formatted my recordings AFTER I tested that the damage was consistently the same value every time. Testing the first part I recorded something around a hundred shots and cut it off early after realizing the numbers were all the same:

... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey r/learnmachinelearning! I hope you all are all doing well.
Recently I created SeaLion, a machine learning library designed to help newcomers learn ml in a way that's more about understanding the algorithm than its class functions. The librarie is well-tested and has 70+ stars on GitHub.
In order to supplement the library I wanted to write some examples of what these algorithms could be used for. I did this in a series of 12 jupyter notebooks. I think that they are incredibly helpful as they apply ml algorithms to real world datasets like breast cancer, iris, titanic, spam classification, moons MNIST, etc. They also compare and contrast a lot of the algorithms so you can see first hand which is best to use.
You can find them over here : GitHub Examples
A list of all of what the notebooks are on can be found in the screenshot below :
Code examples of SeaLion to explain ML algorithms
Please feel free to use them.
Also if you want to learn more about sealion here are some links :
Give it a star if you can; that always helps.
I hope you enjoy the notebooks. Feel free to ask me any other questions!
