Ragwort

I just saw a road sign that said “control tansy ragwort.” Is it invasive to Washington state? If so, what harm can it do and how can I help control its spread?

And here are the details:

• Zone 8

• Portland, Oregon Area

• Seems to be more shade-loving than Ragwort.

• Has larger leaves than a Nipplewort of equivalent height.

• Texture is not fuzzy, and the leaves feel pretty thin.

• Seems to like to grow out a bit more than up.

• I'm not sure if it flowers, but I have not seen it do so.

Over one week ago /u/Ragwort denied /u/JaguarGator9 and any others the right to own or moderate the subreddit /r/JaguarGator9

Over a week ago Ragwort denied anyone else the ownership to a subreddit he has never posted to, moderated, or even added rules. By doing this he is denying the growth of a subreddit, and denying any who wish to post to /r/JaguarGator9 the right to pursue karma as with no upkeep the subreddit cannot grow

[EVIDENCE]: Discussion over in /r/announcements of /u/Ragwort and his plans Ragwort Denying Jaguar's Claims with 0 reason given and denying his mod request JaguarGator9's Sub /u/JordyLakiereArt explaining Ragowrt's plan

CHARGE: Denial of pursuit of Karma, by denying the right to upkeep and maintain a sub he clearly has no intent to use, he is denying people the right to pursue karma by stunting subreddit growth

CHARGE: impersonation of fellow redditor: /u/Ragwort has no consent to use /u/JaguarGator9's identity in his sub and is therefore stealing his identity

CHARGE Possible intent to sell reddit property. /u/Ragwort is gathering the subreddits of people such as /u/JaguarGator9 for unknown reasons. The only thing these people have in common is that they have over 200k +karma. It is therefore believed that Ragwort intends to sell these sub's back to users for a price, which is against the Reddit terms and service as reddit is a copyrighted brand that he is attempting to sell

I've seen this plant out on walks and it has really cool looking leaves! I'd love to know what it is!

• Seems to like sun more than shade.

• I'm not sure if it flowers, but I haven't seen it do so.

• Grows to ~30cm (12 in) tall.
