I want to play racquetball but I don’t want to be a member of a country club. Are there any other places in Charlotte I could play that wouldn’t be as expensive?
This might be common knowledge, but just in case it’s not. You can get a 3 pack of racquetballs in the sports section at Walmart for less than $3 or a whole bucket of them for $10. They are (in my puppy’s humble opinion) the absolute best ball for dogs. They have good bounce and a good size, you can chuck them pretty far compared to other balls we’ve used, and best of all, they’re not a fuzzy like tennis balls that get all gross. And for some reason, they’re the only ones that Wilkes will just sit with and chew on and play with on his own. He absolutely loves these balls.
Just wanted to share this, in case anyone is looking for a good and reasonably priced ball for their pup. Dog toys are expensive af for no reason.
Does anyone know any racquetball courts open currently for day use or as a part of a gym?
Played a little bit throughout the years and wanting to get competitive again. Do people bet against each other during racquetball games? Could be various amounts of cash, but does anyone have stories of gambling on personal racquetball?
As you head into 2021 and start thinking about personal goals or resolutions, you may consider personal training to improve your all-around racquetball performance.
There are a number of racquetball pros that also work as personal trainers. Consider them first, as they will be aware of the demands that racquetball puts on your body and they can help ensure that you are doing the supplemental work to enable your continued success!
My boyfriend and I are avid racquetball players. When we first moved to Charlotte, we got YMCA memberships partly so we could play racquetball at Dowd, but we recently cancelled our memberships because of the high expense and because it was far way too busy every time we tried to work out at any of our nearby YMCAs. Are there any other racquetball spots in the Charlotte area?
Anyone know of anywhere to play racquetball (ideally near Norrebro or Indre By). Guessing all places will be locked down now, but would love to know of gyms or other places that have courts for when things re-open.
My wife and I are wanting to learn / play racquetball at our local Y
Don't know anything about racquets. Can anyone advise on a good racquet for beginners?
Also, are there men's and women's racquets? I'm 6' ands wifey is 5'-2" ...If that matters at all
I just moved to Tampa-Brandon area and hoping to find some people in the area to play recreational racquetball for cardio. I usually go to the Esporta facility in Valrico during weekdays after work, they have five courts and are usually empty. I am 31/female, I played in college but it's been a few years since I played so I consider myself a beginner player.
We added 3 racquetball facilities to our list for Tucson, Arizona today.
Are your courts on our lists and maps?
See title. Greg was limited to a single person per court last semester, but my roommate and I are looking for a place to play.
DM me if you are interested. I am decently good at it.

I know there are some of the only outdoor racquetball courts in the state there. It's been 10 months since I've hit the ball. Something about hitting a ball as hard as you can that always was a great stress reliever for me.
Are there any places with racquetball courts in the Irvine area? I'm new to the place...
Moved to KC about a year ago and haven't played much racquetball since moving. I know of two places with indoor courts:
The Jewish Community Center (The price quoted to me for membership is out of my budget)
A couple of Genesis Health Clubs (One in Lee's Summit and one in Lenexa I think)
Are there other indoor courts I have not been finding? Specifically in the northland?
I also have seen a few outdoor courts and I have played on those, but I so far I prefer the indoor playstyle more.
