Transcribed Fairy/Faerie quotations: a Scammer Timeline footnote

So as part of my Scammer timeline, I wanted to transcribe the Fairy/Faerie quotes, but holy moly, she has posted a bazillion of them. I decided to make it a separate post from the timeline since it was so long. I didn’t catch every group of fairies she posted, but I think I only missed one β€œflash sale”? These are all the ones I was able to find and read, if anyone has shots of the ones I’m missing, please send them my way! I also couldn’t read all of them because some were on too light of paper with the bad photo quality, so take my translations of some with a grain of salt. She swapped between spelling them Fairy and Faerie with no apparent reason, so I kept whichever one she wrote on there. There were also some she definitely tried to resell after supposedly selling the first time, and I have those noted. I was surprised, but most the quotes were actually new writing with only some recycled lines, so this is indicating she has actually written more of Scammer than she’s let on. I have noted at the end which lines were from already published work, and which work of hers they came from.

Content warning: some of the quotes are gruesome depictions of death, depression, and contain suicide mentions.

First round of Faeries, transcribed by /u/Bookgills:

Gallery of First Round Faeries

Β· The Hazel Catkin Faerie: I don't know what, as a child, made me believe that becoming a famous memoirist was going to solve all my problems since all anyone ever told me was to pick a different goal. But I latched onto a vision of myself in a ball gown with flowers in my hair, inside a castle, inside a story that was true -Line from 5th paragraph of IAMCC

Β· The Scarlett Faerie: But let's take this story from the top! I am - ACTUALLY - Caroline Calloway, but I wasn't always. Like lots of artists, I changed my name-Line from 2nd paragraph of IAMCC

Β· The Dandelion Faerie (1): If you build a life around an identity that springs from your own imagination is it ever fake or inauthentic? -Line from 4th paragraph of IAMCC

Β· The Forest Faerie: My Dad didn't shout every night, but that made it harder to predict when it would happen, and harder to heal from in the years after it did

Β· The Bluebell Faerie (1): When the curtain comes up, everything is a mess. And for a while it seems like chapter one is where glamorous plans go down in flames. Then one day in Europe, when I least expect it, I meet the Swedish boy who will change my life forever - o

I went through the entire DarkViperAU video and transcribed the most important quotations

Disclaimer:

this is part 1 of an extremely long post. It took me about 8 hours to put this together. I have no TLDR attached, but if someone wants to go ahead and do that, I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it. I'm hoping that being able to read, instead of hear, what dream was saying will make the contents of this interview more apparent.

It's also worth noting the structuring of this post. I lifted the questions directly from DarkViperAU's google doc which can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NA1Z2tRGS6NhsAF3yU2hhIzzZp02pBVPpNno8riiZIA/edit

Things said by dream are proceeded by [dream]. Things said by DV are proceeded by [DV] (questions excluded). My personal comments are proceeded by [OP].

Brackets [] within a quotation simply means I've replaced a word with one that makes more logical sense when reading (ex: changing tense, like have->has).

Ellipses (...) are used to exclude unnecessary information, like dream stumbling over his words or repeating the same thing twice in a row.

All time stamps are included beneath the quotations if you want to go to a specific part in the interview video.

Also worth noting that any mistakes I've made are unintentional, and if you find any please leave them in the comments so I can edit and correct them. The question format is also a little weird because of the discrepancy between the labels in the video, and the labels on the google document. I also omit some questions if they do not provide any useful information.

There are currently publicly three statistical analyses proffered in regards to your runs. One by the original mod team, one you commissioned, one from /r/statistics supported by the mods there, and one private that was emailed to me by a Swiss mathematician that I will release alongwith this video.

The person you commissioned admits they had effectively no knowledge of Minecraft and makes no claims to any knowledge Speedrunning. The authors of all three other reports claim your anonymous author made numerous errors, both in terms of their calculations and due to their lack of understanding of the topic at hand, that lead to false results. You wrote on Reddit that you would be hiring β€˜multiple well renounced statisticians’ to contest the original results. I'm trying to filter any posts/comments that contain any phrase surrounded by quotation marks (such as "…"), but can only catch the first quotation mark.

Almost all of the quotation marks that surrounds a certain phrase are not being detected by AutoMod, despite myself explicitly including them in a rule.

All of the quotation marks and their Unicode equivalents were taken from the table that's within this Wikipedia page:

This lineadds the attribute :

What I need is to have it add:

How can this be done or how can I edit the attribute to remove the quotes?

LPT: If you are trying to find a song on google and you only know a few words from the lyrics, put them "inside quotations" before searching

That way google will search for the exact order of words you put in (instead of all pages containing those words) and most likely link you to a page full of the song lyrics.

Bonus Tip:

If you could only hear some of the words in a phrase, you can replace the ones you don't know/aren't sure about with *

Example: "With their * and their *, and their * and their *"

I just discovered that you had to mark dialogues with quotation marks, not dashes

I'm a non-native English writer, and a beginner at that too. In my language we mark conversations with dashes, like this:

-Hi - said Mark - I like you.

Not quotation marks:

"Hi" said Mark "I like you"

I was writing with dashes automatically. One of my readers pointed out this mistake today, and I had to look up English novels to check if this really a thing. I have over 12 fics, and now I had to go back and correct all of the dashes to quotation marks, It was a real pain in the ass with my multiple chapter fics. I can't believe no one told me this before!

--QUESTION 16--

You communicate many times in this video, in many different ways, the obvious reality that if β€œEven 1 in a trillion events happen daily”. This is of course misleading because as long as something is logically possible, given enough instances of an event, it will become certain. Your continued repeating of this seems silly because in no way does this mean that any event will happen to you, or is likely to happen to you. Your argument is like saying β€œConspiracies exist” therefore Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton are conspiring to make super intelligent elephants. The existence of unlikely events does not in any way shape or form mean an unlikely event actually happened
